I'm still not getting it. Why is he allied with lucifer? I mean, from your other descriptions, it seems like he's overall a still 'constructive', AKA 'good' force, as in he lets the souls of humans out of their dead bodies, then (presumably) gives them to god so he can put them in Heaven, right? Logically, shouldn't he be buds with God then? Or is he just 'allied with lucifer' because "uhhh... lucifer bad... death bad..."?

Death has no allegiance with anyone because he can send people to hell and death was one of the only companion of Lucifer when he walked the earth for the longest time. Death is more friendly with Lucifer but he does obey God and Lucifer equally as well.

Okay... well what if he gets a conflicting order? E.g, it's highly likely lucifer said once or twice "Hey, buddy, go up to heaven and kill god for me." But when he went over to god to reap him, God would likely say "Hey, buddy, go down to hell and kill Lucifer for me.". So... what would he do? You imply he wouldn't do anything, but you also effectively said he values Lucifer much more, thus, wouldn't he likely follow through with killing God? If so, what would happen? Did that already happen and God just 'vetoed' it and came back?

Ok....deep breath.

Death is just death he does not need an order he just does his job. Unless someone kills god death will not take god. Lucifer will never order death to kill anyone. They just chat buddies not partner in crime.

Alright. Well, how did they meet? Was Death just doing his job and Lucifer noted his existence and lucifer said "Oh hi there."?

Lucifer banished from.heaven walked the earth for centuries. He sen death and they stopped and chatted but nothing else.
