@ImportantNobody@DJAtomika The question is, why do our parties feel the need to band together for the better good of the multiverse? I think a lot of our characters seem to barely understand the multiverse never the less band together with people from those other verses.

My main character, Evvie, would join if someone comes up to her, points to a powerful foe, and says that she should use her awesome powers to help fight them. Some of my other characters would be more difficult.

Well, I wouldn't say the Reapers as a whole operate for the "greater good". They merely exist now to maintain the balance of light and darkness. If the light were to grow too vast, they have to dim it, and if the darkness were too much, they have to brighten it.

I made the Reapers and their boss the Bandaged Man as a sort of extradimensional peacekeeping group. If the situation calls for it they will fight on a side, otherwise they fight for whoever pays the most.

The Dreamers could care less about a species' perception of good/evil. What defines a "badguy" that Evvie would automatically take someones word for it? Good/evil are subjective.

If they are hurting innocents would be the main thing. She's also kind of trusting that way, so if there's no time to observe and someone rushes over saying they are in danger of these bad people, odds are she'll try to fight them off and then see if it was the right thing to do or not.

By the way, do you guys need new battlegrounds? I have a couple of ideas, not sure if they have been used.

1. On top of a battleship in the middle of a firefight. Technology, water, lots of projectiles in the air.

2. A nuclear reactor. Modern technology, people, cause a meltdown.

Just send them in?

Human ethics don't apply to non-human entities. While I understand some people confuse ethics with acting in some socially acceptable manner, moral equivalency doesn't apply. What is ethically best for one species may harm another.

The biggest empire I have, compared to the Angar Ryllans, is actually rather merciful. They oblliterate a majority of the armed forces, and then envelop you into their ranks.

Teaching you everything they know, to unify you under one cosmic banner.

The Angar-Ryllan are not evil per se, but they are driven by the need to destroy their demons (Dreamers) and to bring their civilizing mission to all lesser species in the multiverse. All hail the Eternal Queen, most merciful light that pierces the shadowed dreams.

I'm looking to get Damien involved in the big picture, hopefully. I already am working on his actions on Earth in order to consolidate enough power to handle heavier weights.

We can go the fighting game route and have a faction trying to create an ultimate warrior by studying our characters and setting up battles behind the scenes.

Don't think grand scale. Think selfish reasons. If we were to always think grand scale, no ones characters would really match right. Typically, no one is that black and white. While the cause might be good, doesn't mean the character's intentions and goals are. I'm not really sure about the whole recruit for storyline thing though. I mean, if you are wanting to essentially cause war, then the main reason for people joining one side or the other isn't usually for the goal, but for protection, money, personal gain, revenge, to get away from the other side, etc. You shouldn't force something when it can flow so naturally by itself.

Same thing, they'd try not join any group with goals like "subjugate" or "exterminate"

...
Well, Niks would if he's sure he won't get lynched for being undead.
