@Ammokkx
I get what your saying and it was just a stupid idea that i thought would of been fun, just the whole basement in a brawl type scenario with Rask and Wretha just sitting calmly in the middle. But a couple of points, who says you can't fire three arrows at once (I've done it with my bow, its possible just highly inaccurate, but you are close range so high likelihood you'll hit something) also when your firing from a close range the impact the arrow hits the object with will be incredibly high potentially smashing through armour, especially if you have an 80 pound bow and broad heads. And there is a fast shooting technique that can fire approximately 10 arrows in 5 seconds in real life. Also this is fantasy RP and my character is an elf like yours so high accuracy and rate of fire is possible.
but like i said it was just a stupid idea i had playing out in my head. I'm happy just killing/hurting (not sure which as of the moment but ill decide a bit later) a Gothi
Okay, I love me some combat debate. Let's get this rolling.
1: Your character is not going to be good enough with a bow to do the rapid firing techniques with any form of accurracy. Although even without taking that into consideration, to even pull that off you'd need to be not only very concentrated but also have a very firm grip on your bow and the arrows you pull, in practise this is very much possible but in combat your nerve takes a huge hit due to
adrenaline goddamn people trying to kill you. Where the hell did I get ADRENALINE from?
2: Three arrows is possible, but the setup for that is INCREDIBLY long and hard considering you'd need to take three individual objects into one hand, put them onto a small line and then pull said line backwards. This is almost a death sentence itself, because as soon as your opponent sees what you're doing they'll step out of your aim if they have any shred of common sense.
3: You can have a bullet fly straight through your shoulders, stomach, legs, and still be able to run. Even if you'd manage to stagger someone with a good hit, it only takes seconds for adrenaline to kick in and give them a burst of energy to keep going.
4: Fantasy shmantasy. Physics still apply. Sure, there can be some suspension of disbelief, but you still need to keep in mind that no matter what, a body that is similiar to a human's is going to have very strict limitations. Sure, elves can be more nimble. They still need to aim and cover the distance from quiver to bow.
5: Your bow = shit, and you're thinking of modern day practice bow. Try out a stick with a string attached and see how hard it is to actualy operate that thing. Yours is going to be not so different from that.
