After hearing the announcement, Uther was at first planning on returning to his dorm when he heard voices that were familiar to him and others that were new. Curious, he listened in closely to what the group were discussing and found out about their plan to look for the missing student. He wanted to help them but he felt completely nervous about asking. Thinking that it would be awkward for some kid to walk up to them and say "Hey! Mind if I join you guys?!"
Wait... Uther realized he accidentally said that loud enough for them to hear him. This outburst made his face turn red of embarrassment as he tried to hide his face with his two hand puppets. Using Bunny to make it look like it asked the question. "It shouldn't hurt to add one more to the group right? Besides I can vouch for this kid dueling skills."
"Hey Cecile its probably not safe!" Moros called out but his words were ignored as she left on her own anyway. "Come on you can't let her go around by herself." he called out to Adrien as he after her, going off by herself was a terrible idea. At least if they went in a group they would be safer, and of course all punished by the school no doubt, but now wasn't the time to think of such silly things. Moros put the thought from his mind and chased after her. "At least wait for me!"
Cécile had made a pretty good distance already, then she heard someone call out to her, though she just kept going. Then the same voice asked her to at least give them a chance to catch up, so she slowed from her jog down to a fast walk so that whoever it was could catch up. Sadly with all the commotion going on it was a little hard to tell who was actually saying it since there was just so many people talking at once in the area.
As for Adrien, well he couldn't help but sigh. He wanted to protect people, but it would seem as though everyone else wanted to try and find the missing person or whatever was going on. Of course once more Cécile had made things more interesting for him at least since now Moros wanted to go help her and started running off to catch up with her. Sighing very audibly this time Adrien turned and began to run after Moros so he could catch up with his sister. This definitely promised to be a rather intriguing day.
While Keio was still eating another student came up to them and offered his help. Immediately afterwards he seemed to hide behind a sock puppet and had his puppet do all of the talking. Well he just said it would be smarter to go in a group but sock boy could drag him down. But no man left behind is what Keio lived by. "Yeah no problem. You can join us if you want to help. By the way are you new, I'm Keio." He quickly introduced himself before taking another bite of his sandwich.
Hearing that he could join them, Uther lowered his hands so that he could look at Keio. Although his face was still red like a tomatoe while he was talking. "M-My name is Uther and y-yeah I just started today..." when his eyes looked over at the other student who has silver hair, the boy couldn't help but hide back behind his puppets again. This time it appeared to be the Cat puppet talking. "Sorry it just takes time for Uther to warm up to people so whats your name and do you guys have a plan on where we should look first?"
Daemon had fallen asleep in the cafetaria right after finishing breakfast, completely oblivious to the chaos that had happened all around. He'd missed out on both duels happening over on the campus grounds, which is a shame. It was only when the announcement came through the speakers that the teen jolted awake, looking around frantically to see where that voice was coming from. It took him a few moments to regain his composure and actually process what was being said. Turns out someone's gotten lost somewhere or something? Daemon's mind was confused, partly due to his ill-timed nap. There were a few people still inside the cafeteria... Daemon didn't recognize them immediately. He rose up from his chair to stretch out, picking up the backpack next to the table and lazily flinging it over his left shoulder.
Walking up to Keio and Xavier, as well as Uther, Daemon tilted his head a bit and asked a question: "Hey, uh... What's going on here?" It seemed like a stupid question, but the kid really was confused. "I heard something about someone being outside of school grounds or something? I kinda... Dozed off." Apparently, this particular person didn't feel the need for a formal introduction or anything and got straight to the point, green eyes still half-closed.
After Alexander dropped off Megumi at her dorm room, Alexander began to make his way back to his. Now that Megumi was safe, Alexander hopefully no longer had a reason to worry about her wellbeing. Of course, the same could not be said for everyone else. As Alexander took a shortcut through the cafeteria, he noticed a few people who had yet to return to their dorm rooms. Among them, Alexander recognized Keio and Xavier. Making his way over to them, Alexander asked, "What are you guys still doing here? You heard the announcement. Back to our dorm rooms."
@Scarifar One boy approached Xavier and Keio and introduced himself, then his puppets began to talk for him. Before Xavier could comprehend what was happening, another boy walked up and asked a question. Xavier's head was spinning from the sudden response to his offer. Outta nowhere, Alexander approached and asked why they were there. "Uhhhhh, we're gonna go look for the girl that went missing. You wanna come?" The question sounded dumb after it came out. What was Xavier thinking, Alexander was the first one to want to go back to their dorms.
Akira had heard the announcemet and took off for the dorms. He had a feeling that checking there might be the best idea and while dodging teachers and other staff he was able to make his way to the Dorms and begin a search for the young girl that had gone missing.
Keio stood there as the puppet dude was hiding behind his puppet but the puppet said he was a decent duelist so that was good enough for him. Then another guy rose from a nap and asked what was going on. "On someone was just kidnapped and we're making a search party. Nothing too big." Keio told the boy. Then Alex came over and Xavier seemed to lose some of his composure. Then Keio moved towards Xavier, "Hey stand by your ideals no matter what anyone thinks." He whispered into his roommates ear.
"Oh. That's what's happening?" Daemon blinked a few times, letting out an almost bored "Cool." straight after. Another boy seemed to walk in jut after that, saying 'They should head back to their dorms.' The green-eyed one of the group wanted to respond, but two others beat him to the punch. They both said this entire group was going to be searching for the missing person. "...We are? ...Okay." Daemon took notice of how Keio whispered something in the other boy's ear, the one without glasses or sockpuppets. Couldn't hear what it was, just that something was being said.
"Oh yeah. Guess I should..." Mumbling this to himself, Daemon flung his backpack towards his front and opened it. Inside lay the black duel disk, which he removed from it. Once the backpack was closed and on the boy's back again he locked the disk to his arm it secured tightly by the security strap every disk was equipped with. "I guess we're going to need these, right?"
Moros caught up to Cecile breathing lightly, he was reasonably in shape since he tended to bike everywhere rather than drive. He voiced his protests as soon as he arrived beside her, "You know this is kind of ridiculous, do you really think you can find someone by wandering around? For all we know that student could've just like, ditched school. Now we're just making things worse by wandering around and adding more missing students, this seems like we won't find anything so we should probably head back." Moros said cheerily hoping to dissuade Cecile from continuing. This really didn't seem like a good plan, even if there was someone missing how would they hope to find them somewhere in the whole city?
Turning and walking backwards not stopping her brisk walk Cécile looked at Moros and frowned slightly as she listened to his words. The guy clearly needed to relax and lighten up more. "You know, that's not a half bad idea!" Something Moros had said had sparked an idea in Cécile's mind and she was going to show Moros that sometimes just running off could be fun, and that they didn't always have to worry about everything so much. So to follow up her sentence Cécile spun around and grabbed Moros by the wrist and started to run dragging him with her. Cécile was determined to get to know Moros better, and why not use this chaos to do so?
Meanwhile Adrien had been walking to catch up to the pair, but once Cécile grabbed Moros and started running he just shook his head and turned on his heels and walked another direction. Unlike his sister Adrien was actually more interested in what was happening, and definitely wanted to know more. Perhaps one day he would have a normal average life, but yet again, for one reason or another, that day would bot be this day either it would seem. As such Adrien's walk started for the park, one of the few relaxing places he enjoyed, and also a place not too far off of the campus.
"Whats not a half bad id-" Moros's question was cut off as he was pulled forward by Cecile, they were running too fast for conversation so he held his words until they finally slowed down a little. Breathing a little more heavily now Moros said, "Okay exercise is good for you and I enjoy a good run every now and then but uh..." he let his sentence trail off, "Where are we?" Moros asked, because he didn't recognize anything around him. Of course his knowledge of the city pretty much consisted of what street the academy was on and where the grocery store was.
Alexander crossed his arms, unimpressed with Keio and Xavier's response. "I see," Alexander said disapprovingly, unable to believe the audacity of these people. There was a likelihood of significant danger. Someone This wasn't some sort of fictional world where all of the world's problems could be solved through a children's card game.
"Of course, you DO realize that you will be in severe danger, right?" Alexander asked. "This isn't just a case of a girl gone missing, and someone just finds the girl and everything is a-ok at the end."
"Give me one reason why I shouldn't just drag you by the ears back to the dorms," Alexander demanded.
"Well... We're with four people... And you're only one... So even if you drag two people back, couldn't the other two just book it?" Daemon chimed in, asking the question with a tilted head. "I mean, you don't really have any way to force us to go back do you?" The boy flung his arms behind his back, duel disk still attached to the left. "I dunno, I'm just going along with this. Plus, if you're in a group of..." They paused for a bit, turned around and counted. "...Four people, you're less likely to get in trouble... Right?"
Xavier stared hard at Alex. "You want a reason? I'll give you a reason. Lets duel! If I win, you come with us. If you win, I'll stay behind!" Xavier swung his arm outward, allowing his duel disk to extend. "What do you say?" He said slyly.
Daemon looked to the silver-haired guy as he made his intentions known. A duel. And the disk solidified that fact, sliding out to form the 5-slot standard. "Well. Have fun with that. I'll go off ahead now." Apparently not grasping the point of this duel, the brown haired laze walked out of the cafeteria and outside of school grounds.
"So... Uh... where do I start with this?" Daemon had found himself in the middle of the city after a bit of aimless wandering, arms folded behind his head as he walked. There were a ton of places to ditch school... "...Maybe a skate park...?" Thinking this out loud, Daemon walked further into town. Took him about five minutes of walking before arriving at his destination, some of the teens cruising around on roller skates and skateboards. The laze made his way further into when he accidentally bumped into someone slightly older than him, recoiling a bit. "Ow... Whoops, sorry dude." He took a better look at the one he'd be found bumping into. It was Adrien. Daemon didn't know that though. "...So, uh... Who are you?"
Adrien had been wandering around for a little while looking for anything out of the ordinary. Explored a few places in town, and ended up at the skate park. Then of course some knuckle head had to bump into him and interrupt him. Though at least the guy was polite enough to apologize. "It's fi-" Adrien had turned more towards the guy. Wasn't he a student at the academy? "Hey, you seem familiar. You're from the academy right?" Adrien asked randomly. Admittedly with being at the academly for a couple of years now he should've known more of the students, but with leaving here and there to go back to France for tournaments it was hard to secure friends.
Daemon stretched out a bit as Adrien stood there for a bit, in silence. Didn't take long for the other guy to start speaking, though. Asked him if he was from the academy. Well, like, wasn't that obvious? "Yeah, I am. Daemon." He took a few steps back to take some distance, realizing he was a little too close to the other teen due to not having moved after bumping into him. "You didn't answer my question, though... Who are you?"
Adrien raised an eyebrow. "I am Adrien Allaire. I suppose, Daemon, that you have a reason for being off the campus right now...?" Adrien wanted to make sure he protected others, and considering he didn't know this guy, clearly he was too novice to be out and about given the current situation, thus Adrien would swiftly send him on his way and continue his search.
Did he just ask whe Daemon was walking around? Actually, that was a perfectly reasonable question. "Yeah. There was this commotion about someone having ditched school or something, and then I got assigned to a search group or something..." Daemon replied pretty fast, all things considered. Honestly he didn't know WHAT he was doing, considering he got dragged into this straight after a nap. "...Came out here to see if they would be hanging around spraying graffiti or dueling or something. That's common, right?" A yawn escaped the green-eyed teen's lips, using his right hand to cover his mouth.
Adrien closed his eyes and shook his head while letting out a sigh. "Go back to you room kid, there's more to it than just that, and clearly you aren't at a level to deal with bigger situations..." Adrien opened his eyes looking dryly at Daemon. Seriously, people needed to know their limits.
"Ruuuuuuude." Daemon squinted his eyes and dropped his arms to the side. "What makes you think I'm not at 'that level', Adrien? Haven't seen you doing anything any time soon. Cokcyness usually is a bad thing, y'know?" He raised up his index finger for the most half-assed pointing attempt Adrien would see all week. "Also aren't you like, almost the same age as me? Kinda hypocritical to say kid..."
"Clearly, though incase you weren't aware I was talking about your skill...You might as well jut be a kid compared to me, and the reason you haven't seen much of me lately is because I was winning a big tournament in France." Adrien frowned. "Now go back to school and return to your dorm kid."
Was this guy for real? Put him in a contest to see who'd be the most narciccistic and arrogant and he'd be getting first place! Well, as a card player, there's only a single appropriate way to deal with this. "France Shmance. You want to see skill levels? You've got a disk, so activate it. I wanna see if that confidence of yours isn't just a bluff." In response to that, Daemon's own disk activated and clicked both half-pieces into eachother, then turned to the normal dueling position. He inserted his deck into it and 4000 Lifepoints flickered across the display.
Adrien sighed once more as he raised his arm and his duel disk activated and he brought his arm down as it was nearly finished, and as it finally finished Adrien's arm went into the ready position as his 4000 Lifepoints lit up. "If I have to crush you to teach you your place, then so be it." He said coldly as he drew his five cards in one motion and spread them without looking once at his cards and only staring down Daemon.
Daemon took a few steps back and grinned widely at the sight. Oh now THIS was going to be good. When he was at a safe location he picked up five cards from the top, then shouted "Duel!" to signal the match start.
Turn 1: Daemon: 4000 LP: 5 Cards in hand Adrien: 4000 LP: 5 Cards in hand
"I'll take the first move, hope you don't mind!" Daemon announced to his opponent, looking over his hand. It was decent, but could do with some improvements....
"Alright, I'll start off by summoning my Guardian Eatos!" A winged woman in a long, brown robe and with a feathery ornament appeared on the field, floating in mid-air. "You see, when I have no monsters in the graveyard I can summon this lovely lady to the field without any tributes!
Guardian Eatos (Level 8) WIND. ATK: 2500 DEF 2000. If you have no monsters in your Graveyard, you can Special Summon this card (from your hand). You can send 1 of your Equip Spell Cards equipped to this card to the Graveyard, then target up to 3 monsters in your opponent's Graveyard; banish those targets, and if you do, this card gains 500 ATK for each monster banished by this effect, until the end of this turn.
"Then I'll set a card and pass it off to you."
Set: 1
Turn 2: Daemon: 4000 LP: 3 Cards in hand Adrien: 4000 LP: 6 Cards in hand
Drawing his card Adrien looked down at his hand and smiled lightly. "Well then, let's kick this off then shall we? First I'll summon my Blizzard Dragon, in attack mode!" As he said this he placed his card on the duel disk and the white dragon rose in a gust of frosted wind crying out in triumphent rage at Daemon. "Next I'll play this, Stamping Destruction. As long as I have a dragon on the field I can activate this card and destroy one spell or trap on the field, oh and you lose five hundred life points for it too." Adrien smirked as his dragon took flight and smashed down on Daemon's face down and crushing it into a million pieces before soaring back to Adrien's side of the field.
Daemon braced himself for the impact, the dragon stomping down on the card with such ferocity. He held up both of his arms in front of his face to protect it from the wind, but once his lifepoints and arms came down all you could see was a smirk. "Actually, I wanted you to do that! You see, what you destroyed was neither spell nor trap... It was a monster!" As if on que, a blue sword floated onto the field, wielded by a completely cyan spirit. "Welcome, Artifact Morraltach! And when this card is summoned by this effect, I can destroy one of your cards! Goodbye, Blizzard dragon!" The man wielding the blade rushed forward and stabbed through the dragon, pixellating it and then jumping back to his spot on the field.
Artifact Morraltach (Level5) LIGHT. ATK: 2100 DEF 1400. (Attack mode). You can Set this card from your hand to your Spell & Trap Card Zone as a Spell Card. During your opponent's turn, when this Set card in the Spell & Trap Card Zone is destroyed and sent to your Graveyard: Special Summon it. If this card is Special Summoned during your opponent's turn: You can destroy 1 face-up card your opponent controls.
Adriens face remained unphazed as he played his next card. "Next I'll play the lovely card known as Cards of the Red Jewel. This allows me to send this card to the grave," Adrien revealed the Red-Eyes Black Dragon from his hand and placed it in the grave yard and then drew two cards. "and then I draw these two cards which puts me back to a full hand. Next I think I'll place these three cards facedown and I think I'll just tell you a little secret kid." Adrien said as he picked one of the three cards out of his hand and held it out without revealing it. "This card right here will destroy you in just a matter of a few turns." Adrien said as a smirk appeared on his face, the first sign of enjoying himself.
Turn 3: Daemon: 3500 LP: 4 Cards in hand Adrien: 4000LP: 1 Card in hand
Whew... What a turn. Daemon could've easely ran into a trap there, lucky he had his artifact set. "Draw!" he shouted, looking at the card he swiped from the top of the deck. Not useful right now... "Alright, I'll switch my Eatos to defense first off." He turned the card on his disk sideways, anticipating a trap of sorts from his opponent. Eatos crouched down and pulled up her arms in a cross-formation. "Next I'll go into the battle Phase and attack with Morraltach!" The Fae braced itself, ready to lunge at Adrien.
Adrien smirked. "I don't think so. I activate Red-Eyes Spirit. This allows me to summon the Red-Eyes Black Dragon from my graveyard," The mighty Black Dragon appeared and roared with ferocity at Daemon and his monsters. "Which ultimately means you won't be able to touch my life points with that attack..."
Red-Eyes Black Dragon: (Level 7) Dark Atk: 2400
"Tch! When you special special summoned your Red-Eyes, I was allowed to activate the effect of the Chaos Hunter in my hand! When my opponent special summons a monster, I can discard a card to summon it from my hand." An armored lady with white hair and a whip appeared on the field, smirking with an evil grin. Daemon ditched his Riryoku into the grave, then shouted "Cancel attack!"
Chaos Hunter (Level 7) Dark: ATK 2500, DEF 1600 When your opponent Special Summons a monster (except during the Damage Step): You can discard 1 card; Special Summon this card from your hand. Your opponent cannot banish cards.
"Chaos hunter! Aim for the Red-eyes!" Chaos hunter tightened her whip in her hands, ready to lash out at Red-eyes.
"You just don't get it do you..." Adrien flung his free arm and hand up into the air as a trap card revealed and chains shot out to ensnare the Chaos Hunter. "Meet the trap known as Shadow Spell! In addition to stopping your monster, it loses seven hundred attack points!"
Damnit! Stopped again! Daemon had to admit, this Adrien guy was good. He glanced over to his hand, thinking if he should risk it... Nah, not yet. Too risky. "Hah... I like your style, Adrien! Turn end."
Turn 4: Daemon: 3500 LP: 2 Cards in hand Adrien: 4000 LP: 2 Cards in hand
Adrien drew his card a confident grin on his face. "Next I'll play this, Card of Spell containment. This allows me to draw two more cards, though I won't be able to activate spells or set cards this turn." Adrien drew his two cards smiling contently. "Next I'll play this, Black Stone of Legend." The stone which lacks all intimidation appeared on the field shimmering lightly. "Next I'll activate it's ability. I can sacrifice it to special summon any Red-Eyes monster from my deck, and I'll choose, another Red-Eyes Black Dragon!" The second dragon appeared roaring just as majestically as the first staring down Daemon.
Daemon looked at the two dragons, slick and scaly and pretty goddamn cool with how they stood confidently on the battlefield. "What? I aint scared of you!" He shouted, the smile on his face ever growing.
"Oh? Well maybe this will help you with that problem, next I'll overlay my two dragons," The two Red-Eyes Black Dragons vanished into the forming galaxy in the sky. "to XYZ summon Red-Eyes Flare Metal Dragon!" Finally the great beast soared down and crashed heavily and roared over at Daemon with enough force to shake he ground along with the fact that he smashed heavily onto the ground, all the while Adrien grinned slightly with a bit of a dark edge to his grin.
Daemon looked in awe when the metallic beast soared down from the sky, shaking the very foundations of the earth with it's arrival. The roar didn't dissapoint either, the mark of power hitting home hard. "Whoa... That's a really rare card, isn't it? Guess you weren't just bluffing after all..." Hah. Funny, this entire thing. Daemon's edge was completely gone with the arrival of this dragon, the advantage laying in Adrien's court now.
Red-Eyes Flare Metal Dragon: Dark Atk: 2800
"Now then, Flare Metal Dragon. Strike fear into his eyes and destroy his precious Chaos Hunter!" Adrien shouted with high confidence and deadly intent as his dragon launched a ball of flame to incinerate the Chaos Hunter and Damaging Daemon for a good 1000 points of damage.
"Ngh-!" The flames and pixels scattered all around the green-eyed teen, him holding up his duel disk to block off most of the things coming his way. "Haa... Haa... Well, this is bad..."
Adrien stood confidently and without any regrets. "Your move."
Turn 5: Daemon: 2500 LP: 3 Cards in hand Adrien: 4000 LP: 2 Cards in hand
"Draw!" Daemon cried out, kind of waery of his chances right now. Things were looking bad for him with Flare having popped up out of absolutely nowhere... Then he saw what he drew. "Ha... Saved by the skin of my teeth..." Daemon mumbles to himself before turning back to Adrien, Grinning. "Your flare may be strong... But the strong aren't always victorious! Some people are weak, but when they combine with others... They gain the power to overthrow the strong!" Boasting out loud, Both Artifact Morraltach and Guardian Eatos seemed to sink into the ground. "I tribute my Artifat Morraltach and my Guardian Eatos to special summon Legendary Maju Gazett!" A monster with 0/0 suddenly rose up on the field. "He may be weak now, but that all changes."
Suddenly, out of nowhere, Maju's attack seemingly boosts up to a mmassive 4600! "Surprised? When I tribute the monsters on my field, this card's attack becomes equal to their combined total!"
Adrien kept staring at Daemon with a look that stated he was unimpressed by this feeble show. After all, attack points were everything, and to insult Daemon further Adrien didn't say a word.
Legendary Maju Gazett (Level 8) DARK. 4600 ATK 0 DEF. Cannot be Normal Summoned/Set. Must be Special Summoned (from your hand) by Tributing all monsters you control, and cannot be Special Summoned by other ways. This card's ATK becomes the combined original ATK of the Tributed monsters. If this card attacks a Defense Position monster, inflict piercing battle damage to your opponent.
"Wow, you're boring. Well then, Battle phase! Maju, attack his Red-Eyes Flare Metal Dragon!" The huge fiend clamped it's hands together, a ball of darkness growing in between the space.
Adrien shook his head. "You had a good attempt, Daemon, but I'm afraid it just wasn't quite good enough. Reveal Compulsory Evacuation Device...Say fairwell to your creature, but at least I was nice enough to let you have him back in your hand, right?" Adrien spoke with a smug grin on his face.
"Tch..." This was annoying. His manju dissapated into nothing, the card getting put back into Daemon's hand. But he wasn't done yet. "Alright then! I'll take 500 Damage to activate my One day of peace!" The dragon balled up a smouldering ball of fire and shot it at the teen as he activated his card. "Ngh... We both get to draw one card now, and neither of us takes damage until the end of your next turn!" Daemon drew his card, eyes filled with hope of finding some way out.
Adrien chuckled as he drew his card. "You're only stalling now...As soon as I can attack you again, you lose!" Adrien's voice became slightly harsh, cruel, even a bit vindictive.
"I won't lose that easely!" Daemon looked at the card he drew. "Yes! I activate Allure of Darkness, and since neither of us take any damage your Flare dragon's effect becomes null and void!" Daemon drew two more cards, then removed his Manju from play. "I can draw two cards, but unless i remove a dark monster from play out of my hand I discard my entire hand." The boy then looked over at his newfound cards, looking for some way out of this mess. And he found it. "Since you control a monster with 2000 or more attack, I can summon Schwarzchild Limit Dragon in attack mode!" A long, slender dragon crawled up, yielding a measly 2000 Attack points.
"Next up, I'll play a magic card called Creature Swap!" A circle with two arrows appeared on the floor, one pointing from Daemon's field to Adrien's and the other from Adrien's to Daemon. "You know what it does, Riiiiiight?"
Adrien continued to look on unimpressed. "So you think you'll be able to win by taking one of my monsters away? Cute...Too bad it's not the card I said would be your doom, you might've won if it was..."
What was this guy ON about at this point? Nevermind, it didn't matter. Limit dragon swam over to Adrien's field while Flare flew over to Daemon's, although something felt off... It was as if the card itself was refusing Daemon's control. "Since I have nothing more to do, that'll be the end of my turn."
Schwarzchild Limit Dragon (Level 8) Dark. 2000 ATK 0 DEF If your opponent controls a monster with 2000 or more ATK, you can Special Summon this card (from your hand).
Turn 6: Daemon: 2000 LP, 2 Cards in hand Adrien: 4000 LP, 3 Cards in hand
Adrien drew his card and looked up at Daemon. "I suppose I should give you some minor credit Daemon. Your deck sure is an interesting one, and you've fought well. But I'm afraid We'll have to put to an end to this after my next turn comes up and you can lose life points once more. First I'll banish the Limit Dragon you were so gracious to lend me, to special summon my Red-Eyes Darkness Metal Dragon!" As Adrien spoke with more enthusiasm and grit and thrust his arm into the air, the fully metal dragon rose up and roared triumphently causing shock waves to vibrate the air around them.
Daemon pocketed his Limit dragon as it got banished from the field, clicking his tongue. Then from the ground rose a metallic dragon, not unlike the one on his field right now. It's overwhelming prescense took over, and this sense of power it gave off... Adrien's deck may just still be out of Daemon's game. "Ha... You just keep pulling out surprises, don't you?"
Smirking, Adrien responded. "Oh if you liked that last part, now I'll activate his ability which allows me to special summon a dragon type monster from my hand or grave, and I think I'll choose the Black Stone I gave up earlier." The shimmering black stone appeared on Adrien's field once more. "But don't worry, it won't be staying, Now I'll activate the Black Stone's ability once more, I presume you recall what it does? And now I'll special summon from my deck, my final Red-Eyes Black Dragon!" The stone lit up and then shattered expanding into the mighty dragon which roared defiantly at Daemon. "Oh but I hope you aren't too impressed yet Daemon, because now I sacrifice my Red-Eyes Black Dragon, to special summon my Red-Eyes Darkness Dragon!" Adrien's arm had slammed down the card with such triumph, after all it was one of his best monsters, and it was also his Ace.
The dragon appeared, black crested in red gems on it's body in various locations, not small ones, no there was one upon his forehead, two larger red gems upon his wings and legs. The dragon stood tall and clearly eminated power about him.
The wind rushed in the area with the new Red-eyes' arrival, it's overwhelming prescense throwing every other Red-eyes that appeared before it in the shadows. Daemon grimaced at the sight. "Red eyes Darkness, huh..." A small bead of sweat appeared on the side of his head, trickling downwards as he was forced to starte the beast down... It was going to be tricky to deal with.
"And to make matters worse for you Daemon, it gains three hundred attack for every dragon type monster in my graveyard, so that means my dragon has a grand total of three thousand three hundred. Now my dragon destroy Flare Metal Dragon!" Adrien pointed at the Flare Metal Dragon Dramaticly as his dragon created a stream of flame that engulfed the Flare Metal Dragon.
"Now that three more dragons have entered my grave that's an extra nine hundred attack for my dragon giving him four thousand two hundred attack, and to finish my turn off I'll place this one card face down..."
Turn 7: Daemon: 2000 LP, 3 Cards in hand Adrien: 4000 LP, 0 Cards in hand
As flare got destroyed Daemon flew off his feet and onto the concrete behnd him, landing on his back with a thump. "Ugh... Could have gone a little easier on the attack, y'know..." He relunctantly rose to his feet, then held out the disk in front of him. "Damnit, I know you're in there... If I'm going down, I at least want to show you off..." Daemon took a deep breath, closed his eyes and placed his hand on the deck. After a silent moment, he let out a hushed "Draw." And didn't look at the card. He knew he got it, he had to have.
"Alright! I'll start off by special summoning my Alector, Sovereign of birds in Attack mode!" A red-winged man clad in steel with a helmet resembling the beak of a bird rose up from the ground in Attack mode. "When my opponent has two or more monsters of the same element on the field I can special summon this guy without any tributes!"
Alector: Sovreign of birds (Level 6) WIND. ATK: 2400 DEF: 2000 If your opponent controls 2 or more face-up monsters of the same Attribute, you can Special Summon this card (from your hand). Once per turn: You can target 1 face-up card on the field; that target's effects are negated during this turn. There can only be 1 face-up "Alector, Sovereign of Birds" on the field.
"Then I'll normal summon Beast King Barbaros!" As Daemon slammed the card down on the field, an odd mix of centaur and lion ran onto the field after appearing from behind him. "This card can be normal summoned without tribute, however it's attack is reduced to 1900." As he spoke, exactly that happened. The king clutched his chest in pain as the points droppped from 3000 to 1900.
Beast King Barbaros (Level 8) EARTH. ATK: 1900 DEF: 1200 You can Normal Summon/Set this card without Tributing, but its original ATK becomes 1900. You can Tribute 3 monsters to Tribute Summon this card. If you do: Destroy all cards your opponent controls.
Daemon gulped down some spit, this was the moment of truth. "I'll activate my Alector's effect! I can target one card on the field and negate it's effect for the rest of this turn... And I think I'll be choosing your Red-Eyes Darkness Dragon!" After announcing the effect, Alector flew sky-high and flapped it's wings at Red-Eyes Darkness Dragon, impaling it with various feathers which seemed to weaken it back to 2400 Attack points.
Adrien stood silently with his arms crossed. He refused to waver, refused to show any signs of giving in. He would not fall here and besides, Daemon's best card matched his own weakest one now. He couldn't break through at this point. Though what happened next caused Adrien to raise an eyebrow at the situation.
"Alright... Now battle phase!" Barbaros, attack his Darkness Dragon!" Barbaros braced itself, holding up his lance threateningly at the dragon before him. Of course, he was no match. The beast warrior roared and charged forward, but the dragon merely flew to the side before blasting him with a ball of inferno, shattering it and sending Daemon's lifepoints down 500. "Ngh...! Alright... Time to show you my ace, Adrien. I activate A Deal With Dark Ruler!" The last card in Daemon's hand slid smoothly into the disk, revealing the quickplay spell card in all it's glory. "When a level 8 or higher monster on my side of the field gets destroyed...." Everything started rumbling all of a sudden, a roar filling the area. A shadow flew overhead. "..I can summon THIS to the field!" Daemon slammed a card down on the black duel disk, suddenly an ominous looking dragon with sharp claws and long strands of white fur hanging out of the back of it's head. "Berserk Dragon."
Berserk Dragon: (Level 8) DARK. 3500 ATK 0 DEF Cannot be Normal Summoned/Set. Must be Special Summoned with "A Deal with Dark Ruler" and cannot be Special Summoned by other ways. This card can attack all monsters your opponent controls once each. During each of your End Phases, this card loses 500 ATK.
Adrien's eyes widened a bit in surprise. To think he'd actually come face to face with a card such as this? A dragon that could match his own dragons? Finally Adrien found the kid to be truly worth facing and his eyes narrowed a bit filled with determination now as a smirk crossed his mouth.
Daemon smirked himself, seeing his strongest card hitting the field. It filled him with pride... And now he was going to take the game with it! "I hope you're prepared! Since it's still the Battle Phase, I can still attack.... Not only that, but my Berserk dragon can attack all monsters you control once each! Rampage burst!" As he called out the attack name, Berserk roared. Unlike other dragons who'd use their breath to attack, this beast lunged straight for the two dragons with it's long slender claws, intending to rip them apart.
"I hope you didn't expect to win that easily!" Adrien swept his arm dramatically out to the side as his trap card revealed. "Say hellow to Castle of Dragonic Souls, this will boost my Red-Eyes Darkness Metal up to thirty-five hundred along with your dragon!" As he spoke His Red-Eyes Darkness vaporized, meanwhile the other two struggled it out as Darkness Metal built up a flame in his mouth. When he shot it the two dragons both exploded with trememdous force.
Daemon didn't mind as both dragons clashed and dissapeared, he was having too much fun right now. "You're not out of the woods yet. Go Alector!" The armored bird flew up and then swept down to graze Adrien from the side with a claw of the armor before returning to it's position on the field. "This will be the last turn for either you or me, you know? I look forward to what you have to offer! Turn end!"
It was then that Daemon noticed a crowd had gathered around the both of them, watching the duel with shock and awe. How long had they been there? Didn't matter. Daemon glanced back to Adrien, smirking. "We got some spectators. Let's make it a great finish!"
Turn 8: Daemon: 1500 LP, 0 Cards in hand Adrien: 500 LP, 1 Card in hand
Adrien had brought up an arm to defend himself and he loward it smirking as he drew. "I suppose I should let you know that I had to banish one dragon from my grave, and as you'll note I chose this." Adrien revealed his Red-Eyes Darkness Dragon. "As you'll note I told you this would be the card that beat you, and this is because it helped me to play one of my rarer cards. Next I'll activate my Black Stone of Legend in my grave to bring it to my hand while adding to my deck from the grave any Red-Eyes monster and I'll choose my Red-Eyes Black Dragon." Adrien pulled out the two cards revealing them and putting them in there respective places and shuffling his deck. "Next I'll summon my Black Stone of Legend in attack mode and I'll activate my Castle once more to boost it's attack to seven hundred. Once more I must banish a dragon type monster of course." Adrien removed his Red-Eyes Flare Metal Dragon and revealed it. "Now that I've set the field just right are you prepared to face one of the most feared cards in Duel Monsters Daemon?" Adrien asked the question with such confidence, such authority, and such determination. And he definitely had the grin to back it up.
One of the most feared cards in duel monsters? Now this... This sounds awesome, actually. "If I'm ready? Hell no, but I'm looking forward to it!" He lost. Daemon knew it and Adrien knew it. But it doesn't matter, right now, he was enjoying himself too much.
"Now because of the fact that I have exactly three Dark monsters in my grave, I can now do something your deck seems so fond of Daemon, I now special summon," The air above them became dark with swirling black clouds with lightning here and there as a horendous roar that shook the earth could be heard from the air. "The one and only Dark Armed Dragon!" The dragon crashed into the ground leaving a crator and roaring once more to instill fear in to all that opposed it.
Daemon looked in awe as the new dragon stomped on the battlefield, letting out a mighty roar to establish its domincance. Heh, it was over at this point. Dark armed dragon came equipped with a destruction effect, as Daemon had heard of the card. But he wanted to put on a little show. Acting surprised and taken aback the boy took a step back, shock written on his face. "Dark armed Dragon?!" he let out, obviously playing it up.
"Yes, and now I'll banish another one of my dark dragons," Adrien pulled out a Red-Eyes Black Dragon this time. "To instantly destroy your final monster, now go Dark Armed Dragon, destroy his final defense with your Dark Grinder!"
Daemon removed his Alector from his disk as it shattered into pieces by a buzzsaw fired at it, depositing it in his grave. "Bring it!"
"Now Dark Armed Dragon use your Dark Grinder one last time on his life points directly and end this duel!" Adrien pointed dramatically at Daemon as his Dark Armed Dragon once more prepared to strike.
The dragon had rushed up to Daemon and sent him flying to the side with the saw on it's chest, his lifepoints dropping to zero. The teen connected hard with the concrete, letting out an "Ow!" as he landed. That's the second time that happened! They got up again, feeling the after effects of that blow pretty well in his side and walked up to Adrien. By now his duel disk had gotten back into the "Standby" form, Daemon having put away his deck into his holder. "That was fun... Although I think we've been wasting a bit of time." His attitude took a swift U-turn from the duel, going back to the ditzy personality he showed before.
The boy looked to his side, looking at those who watched the duel start to walk away and some starting a duel of their own. Seemed like these two did some good, or bad, depending on how you take it. "So like... Am I still not talented enough to be walking around or...?"
