If you guys wish not to react to my actions, I'll allow you to set yourself into the town. We have a small shopping district, the bars, a small park/forest where people observe native animals, the HQ, the docks, and where everything is happening. As well as some houses here and there.

I think the problem is that as a GM your responsibility is to set up a living story that your players feel involved in. Of course I only speak for myself but your first IC post seems to be more along the lines that you are a player waiting for the GM to tell you how everything goes.

In my opinion this post is difficult to respond to as it is not exactly a well written first post. I feel that the very beginning of an RP should set the mood or tone. Give us an idea of the general goings on of the land, or perhaps a problem or event that everyone happens to be involved in. While yours seems little more than you writing your character's story and expecting us to play along or be part of it with little to no incentive.

Context and descriptiveness are key. If you wish to be a GM, and of course, this is still just my opinion. You must detach yourself from simply playing a character and make us all feel immersed in the world or story that you create.

Alright, wrote in some foreshadowing, a little back story and knowledge of the island, and an event for everyone.

Awesome! Now that is a far superior post that I believe will help everyone get an idea about what's going on with their character and aid in their post. If you can just keep this level of quality throughout you'll be golden! Very late for me now, I shall get a post up tomorrow.

I should be able to get a post up today now that the opening post has improved! I guess my character could just be hanging out at the festival for the chance to grab some food and see the sights, though the loads of marines apparently there might cause an issue but we'll see! Anyways glad this has a chance of getting going after all!

Also I have an important question for the GM and crew. Since Birdy's backstory involves the kid beating and humiliating a petty and egotistical but fairly skilled Marine officer in a duel through an equal mix of luck and skill and getting a bounty placed on him in revenge, how high do people think his bounty should be at the moment/start of the RP? I don't want to just arbitrarily declare some number so I thought it'd be better to ask the group and GM.

After reviewing how bounties work, I'm going to have to add a couple 0 to Bluebeard. A Petty Officer being defeated in a duel would land 30000 on you.
When the highest bounty in East Blue is 10,000,000 (before Luffy) and the lowest is 5 for chopper being a pet, 30,000 means. You're a threat, but not too much of a threat.

Um, I'm fine with that I guess but I didn't mean to imply he was a Petty Officer, I called the officer 'petty and egotistical' as in the adjective meaning 'selfish and hung up on small offenses'. I think I had it written down as a Commander when it was originally written but only as a place-saver and that's probably still a bit too high for the moment (Although maybe not if Captain Pan can get his butt handed to him like that? XD)

I guess a Petty Officer and a bounty of 30,000 is perfectly fine anyways given our current power levels especially depending on which class the officer was since Tashigi was a Petty Officer Third Class when she was introduced.

History:
Seth was born to a black smith family. While he was still young his mother and father showed him how to craft great weapons. At the age of six he crafted his first weapon, a sword he called Gate Keeper because on the blade looked like the bars of a gate. From then on he continued to work on his craft as a black smith. By the age of thirteen he and his friends were out exploring the forest outside their village. As they explored Seth found a strange fruit hanging from a dead tree. His friends dared him to eat it. Seth being the adventurous type took them up on their offer. He ate the fruit in two bites and nearly threw it back up as the taste of metal filled his mouth. They were soon driven out of the forest by a hermit screaming at them. All Seth heard from the hermit was, “You’ve just doomed yourself boy! May the gods have mercy on your soul!”

When Seth returned home he felt sluggish and sick. He quickly got into bed and fell asleep. He awoke in the middle of the night as screams echoed in the village. He quickly got up and ran down stairs. When he ran out of the house he saw the village on fire as pirates attacked everyone. He found his mother and father fighting them and ran inside to grab a sword, but when he took his Gate Keeper from the shelf, it felt like it weight a thousand pounds. Try as he might, he was unable to lift the sword or for that matter, any weapon. He ran outside towards his parents. If he couldn’t use a weapon, he’d use his fists. He tripped over a dead body and fell at the feet of a pirate. The pirate smiled as he lifted his axe and swung down at Seth. All Seth could do was use his arms in defense. He felt a pressure on his arms and felt small fragments hit his body. When he opened his eyes he was dumbfounded. His hands and arms where covered in silver metal and the axe blade had shattered. The pirate was in shock and Seth took that moment to strike. He quickly got to his feet and punched the pirate with all his might. Seth heard the cracking of the pirate’s skull with every punch he delivered. Seth looked at his hands and arms as the silver metal suddenly changed into liquid metal and sunk into his skin.

He felt something hit the back of his head and he fell unconscious. When Seth woke up, he found himself in a warm bed and a nurse hovering over him. He started to get up but the nurse quickly stopped him. When he asked where he was, the nurse told him he was on a navy ship that passed by the island his village was on. He then asked about his parents. The nurse simply shook her head and stated he was the only survivor of the massacre.

After arriving at the navy base, Seth decided to track down the pirates that attacked his village and killed his family. He joined the navy and quickly discovered that the fruit he ate was a Devil Fruit called the Tetsu Tetsu no Mi. When he did research on the fruit he discovered his body could create liquid metal, become liquid metal, and he could make the liquid metal into a sort of armor. He also found that the Liquid metal was weak against extreme weather conditions like heat and cold. it also didn't protect him from anyone with an electrical ability like lightning or electricity.

By the age of eighteen he became well adapted in the way to use his Devil Fruit powers. Through the years he met various types of pirates and found that many of them where actually more Nobel than many of the Navy personal. he found himself under Captain Siege and from then on he felt as though Captain Siege was a second father. Captain Siege taught him all the ins and outs that the academy didn't teach Seth. When Seth was ready, Captain Siege gave him an assignment. he wanted Seth to act as a pirate and go under cover to understand how pirates think and to get a head start on any that wanted to cause harm to innocent people. Seth was nervous that his cover would be blown but with Captain Siege reassuring him. Seth went off to start his assignment. He was now one step closer in finding his parents killer. but something wade heavy in his mind. it was what Captain Siege told him when he explained why he joined the navy. "When you get your revenge, what then?"

Wow, I've got to admit Nails the Reaper is probably one of the most over-the-top Grimdark One Piece OCs I've ever seen and that's saying something. Also personally not sure how 'summoning chaos creatures from a bizarre hell dimension' remotely fits in with One Piece in aesthetic or function personally and not sure why you signed up with two characters when nobody else did. Bizarre all around really. Not sure if anyone else shares my sentiments.

Well, it's good that you're aware of how over the top he is, but I'm not really sure how you're imagining anyone who's a serial mass murderer who if I'm not mistaken literally slaughtered a bunch of orphans 'for the fun of it' and definitely seems to have done that to several villages worth of people could interact with any of the other current players in any way. Unless you were trying to make one of the most one-dimensional hatesinks possible as a villain, in which case that's not what the signups are for since it's for a single crew.
