Not likely! She wouldn't miss that for the world, so she'll be rushing to and from the hospital wing!
Also, I'm not sure about what she'd be on the team. Either Seeker or Chaser, I suppose. She's got the right build for a Seeker anyways.

Just realized one of the upsides to having the only Slytherin. No competition for any spot on the team. And word on the street is a spot's about to open up

I actually don't see Nolan joining first year though. As hard as he works and as much as he knows about the game, I think he lacks the raw talent to be good enough to get on the team right off the bat. He'd likely dominate pickup games or a first year league, but first year rule or no, there's no way he's gonna beat out every other Slytherin trying out. And even if he did, there's no way he'd be able to handle the distraction. It'd make for a bad start.

I just hard a thought.

Wouldn't beaters, when they get older, end up having a slow thought process due to all the hits? Like old boxers? ;)

As for the Beaters: There is evidence that multiple head trauma over time affects you later. NFL players deal with the same thing. I don't think anyone playing in school. I don't think anyone just playing in school would be effected in their old age, but perhaps the processional Beaters who spend every day of most their life taking hits would have to worry about it more. Less so than a boxer I think, who is literally taking punches aaaaal time time. I think it would be more like foot ball players injuries.

I dunno. Are Beaters really the ones who takes the most hits though? Wouldn't they actually get hit the least? Lol I imagine Quidditch players in general would take a beating. Bludgers do not discriminate and the Beaters sure aren't going to knock at someone who can knock it right back. At least not most of the time. I imagine Chasers would be the most common target. Either way we're dealing with wizards who pretty much shrug off most non-magical injury/disease.
