...Atop a cafe in downtown Namimori was the nest of a snake...

Minase Hideaki was a man of simple tastes. He liked plain button-down shirts, foods with a high level of pungency, archery and monster girls. He disliked... a whole lot of other stuff, and Asuka. It was certainly hard being Hide, especially after the previous night's taxing events. Ideally he would've spent all day at home, dutifully helping his mother out with the shop before spending the rest of his time practicing archery or playing video games. Still, the two-faced bastard awoke with a sense of vigor, ready to maybe take on the challenge laid out for him last night. And so he pulled open his blinds, took a good look out his window, and after seeing the weather, declared:

"Today's gonna be a really shitty day!"

Sighing, Hideaki dropped the blinds again and opened up his closet. He surveyed his immaculately arrayed clothes, picked out something he liked, set it to the side, and went through his morning routine. It was not a process dissimilar to what most people would go through, except it was completed in a manner that was very much like the scent of the sea. That is to say, salty. He was now clean and wearing a dark-blue button-down T-shirt, black pants and socks. Hide took a seat at his desk and stared at the blank screen of his computer. He still had a good day left before he would be forced to come to a final decision for whether or not he wanted to join Reckless Idiot's crime organization. If he was being frank, he would know that doing so would likely disappoint his mother. If he was still being frank, he would know that he was probably disappointing his mother all the time, so it would be fine either way.

Unfortunately, Hide needed more answers before he could come to a final decision about whether he wanted in on this 'Vongola Famiglia' business or not. It seemed almost like student council, especially since their leader and their inner circle were made of goddamned middle schoolers, except with illegal activities and violence and racketeering. Though if Hide was being completely honest with himself, this Vongola Famiglia business couldn't really be called something that was almost like student council. No, it was exactly like student council. Unfortunately for Luca, Hide's experience with student councils made him wary, especially when Asuka was involved. He could almost see it now: Asuka leading a coup and establishing herself as the 12th Vongola Boss whilst horribly executing Luca, the other Guardians, and anybody else that would stand in her path to becoming Our Glorious Leader.

...Maybe he was being a little bit too overdramatic.

Either way, Hideaki could tell that last night was the bare-minimum explanation and that there was more to be learned, both mentally and physically. Fortunately, Hide was not some kind of fool who would be satisfied with making a life-changing decision knowing only that level of exposition. He'd have to find someone to give him a better info dump. He couldn't get them from The Fluffy Fox since that would involve hunting her down, and after last night's shenanigans, she might think he was some kind of weirdo if she learned he was all of a sudden trying to stalk her for reasons unknown. That meant his only suitable alternative was to find the peculiar Asiatic talking baby. Hideaki closed his closet and plopped inelegantly onto the floor. '...But where did he go...?' he thought, going through all of last night's events retained in his mind's eye.

'...festival...'

'...farce...'

'...firework...'

'...fox...'

'...Fon...'

'...fight...'

'...fluffy tail...'

'...facts...'

'...farewells...'

'...'

'................................................'

'Fuck.'

And so, Hideaki reopened his closet and armed himself with his bow and arrows.

A Short While Later....

A sense of unexplainable foreboding permeated the body of Minase Hideaki. It was like the frightening feeling that one gets in anticipation for a particularly difficult boss battle, or when the episode of an anime ends on a cliffhanger that leaves the fate of your favorite character up in the air for another week. The world here was wrong, as if he was standing in the threshold of another realm. The place he had visited as a child and the place he was now were like two separate existences, each occupying the same space yet not coalescing into a coherent image. 'No,' Hideaki thought bravely, tightly gripping his quiver's strap and shaking his head before taking another step into enemy territory. And another. And another. 'This is a trial.' He grit his teeth, his nerves finally becoming as steel. 'AND A REAL MAN DOESN'T BACK DOWN FROM A TRIAL!' And so, Minase Hideaki did the only thing suitable for kicking off such a perilous excursion into the den of a demon queen:

He rang the doorbell.

He blinked listening to Sam's words "You win this round magic man" He then did the whole I'm watching you thing. As he sat down he wondered where everyone else was "Hey Sam were we the only ones hyped for this?". Before Sam could respond Naoki rudly asked "Hey,your in with me on taking down Asuka right?. Because I tried to speak to the baby and I got floored, someone will hopefully join me now where do you stand?" he said leaning forward as if it was pier pressure

Naoki wasn't sure what his feelings were after everything that happened in the past 48hrs. He tried to look confident but really his feelings were still mixed. He could get up now and run but that wouldn't be him, he would stand his ground and just wait for what's going to happen, happen. Anyway he needed a new project.

"Also mind if I have some tea? If you have any left?..."

"Maybe, maybe not, I simply have nothing else to do today", he responded, taking another sip of his tea before splitting a piece of cake with his fork.

"Also I tend to stand where no one will attack me, but I do wish you good luck on your endeavours", he continued to just enjoy his tea and cake as he spoke. To be honest he didn't quite care what squabble they were getting into or voluntarily perpetuating. It was going to be a long wait, but there were large amounts of cake and tea here, biscuits too, and waffles, and a bunch of Japanese sweets such as mochi were available.

"And yes, help yourself to some tea, there is plenty left", he answered, motioning over to the tea pot, accompanied with a box of tea bags, and a boiler too. There certainly was enough for a whole day.

The morning was quiet as Luca sat at the kitchen table, pushing his half eaten breakfast around his plate. He had been thinking about last night, how Asuka and Hideaki were doing, and just what he was gonna about his place in this Vongola business since the break of dawn. So far he had just gone around and around in his thoughts with no answer in sight. He was suddenly startled back to the table when Felicita, Luca's mother, placed a cup of juice in front of him. "Feeling okay, Lu~? You haven't said a word this morning." She inquired, feeling his forehead for any sign of fever. Luca looked at his mother and forced a smile. "I-I'm fine...just a little tired after last night's...excitement..." Lying to his parents was something he rarely did and he never considered himself particularly good at it but for now he had to. How could he tell his parents that he was the apparent successor to a huge mafia organization? Knowing his mother she'd probably march over to the school and demand that Shi never come near him again. Luca truthfully didn't know who he was more scared for in tat scenario. Dad...he was the very last person Luca would ever want to know.

"Really? You and Yuki didn't get carried away did you~?" Why did it seem everyone, including his own parents, insisted on teasing him about these things. Regardless, Luca barely reddened at all. "No, it was just a fun night...for the most part. I think I had a little to much to eat last night so I'm not very hungry." Luca slid the plate away from him and left the table, heading back up to his room. Felicita watched he son somber off and sighed. He was not the greatest liar.

Half an hour later the doorbell rang and Luca's mother left her sweet stash to answer it. She opened the door to reveal a young man wearing a suit. The teen introduced himself and she reacted slightly to the name. "An acquaintance? Isn't it a bit of a hot day to be wearing a suit~?" Felicita gave Ren a wry smile before stepping to the side and inviting him in. "Well, maybe my son could use a friendly face. He doesn't seem himself this morning." She offered to bring up some drinks and directed him to Luca's room.

Luca sat at his piano staring at a partially pilled piece of sheet music. His fingers danced across the keys as he remembered the notes by heart. He was completely absorbed into the moment until he reached where the sheet music cut off. For a short while he continued, the improvised notes blending perfectly with what was already there but then he started to slow and the notes became sloppy and unfitting. Luca's hands hovered over the keys as one started to clench out of frustration. If there was ever a clear tell that Luca was upset or had a lot on his mind it was when he had trouble playing. Just then he heard a knock at his door.

Sitting on the open windowsill in Asuka's room was a relaxed Fon as he took a deep breath of the morning air. Despite the chaos of the evening's gathering it had been quite the relaxing night. For him at least. The infant monk ha been worried about how his current host was going to react but to his pleasure she showed no signs of distress. In fact she seemed happier than he and Shi observed her to be at the festival. The rest of their night was quite fun and calm. "Hm?" Fon opened his eyes to his monkey climbing up into the window and onto his head. "You seem to have had your own adventure last night~" He said at it curled up and fell asleep.

It seemed like it would be fairly quiet until the meeting tonight. At least he thought it would. Fon looked down to see the archery captain arriving and fully equipped with a bow. The boy was a difficult one to read but Fon was hardly a newborn. "He's a curious one." Asuka came in offering breakfast and Fon turned to her with a smile. "Thank you. I'm sure you and our other guest have many questions and Ill be glad to answer them~" He said referring to Hideaki as the doorbell rang.

Asuka blinked when she saw there was apparently a small monkey now with Fon. It was strange. That was for sure, but so far there wasn't anything about this baby that was normal. So she could worry about that later. "First, I... Wait... Guest?" She asked before hearing the doorbell. Who would be visiting her at this time? She moved to the window and looked down. No... No! Why was he... Oh god who cared... He probably had questions to. "You can come in, but try anything funny and I'll break your jaw!" She threatened before she grabbed her house key and tossed it down. The small plush fox key chain would make it easy to catch. "Hurry up! I'm starting without you!" She didn't have time to go down, make more food or anything. She had questions. "Tell me about the Vongola." She then said to Fon. Still though, her anger was noticeable. How dare Hide try and move in on her time with the toddler?! There was something of an ominous aura around her. She wasn't happy about the new guest or the turn things might take.

A blond woman came to answer the door, to whom the young heir had assumed to be the boy's mother. While the reaction was faint, Ren noticed the slight disturbance upon her expression when his own name was mentioned. Perhaps that wasn't too much of a surprise, considering his yakuza family was one of the more well known ones around Namimori. As if his status hadn't mattered to her, if she indeed knew who he was, the mother spoke casually towards the boy. At least it didn't have to end in a huge commotion with people screaming 'YAKUZA! YAKUZA! OFFICER HELP!' Merely nodding in his usual silence to her inquiry, which sounded more of a joke, Ren respectfully bowed as he was given entry to their house.

As he rose up the stairs as instructed to by Mrs. Yuuki, Ren paused before the door to the blond boy's room when he heard a piano playing. Seeing as it would seem rude to interrupt a performance of whoever it was, he quietly listened to the keys play a beautiful tune. Well, until the playing became rougher and slower till it stopped altogether. Taking this as a chance to intrude the owner of the room, the yakuza heir knocked onto the door twice. Pausing a little before parting his lips to speak, "...... Pardon for my intrusion, Yuuki. This is Kanesada. I wish to speak to you about important matters regarding last night..."

"Ahh thank you good sir" He said pouring himself a cup of tea. Naoki thought in his mind, this guy was nicer then he thought. But would these new circumstances of the mafia show Sam's true colours, he didn't want to know.

"That reminds me, my mother spent 11years in Manchester, doing some plays are you a playman? he said as if his childish attitude was gone, before Sam could answer Naoki looked at the rain and spoke "I wonder if the others will be as excited as we are.." he then took a sip of tea and sat in silence

Naoki stood up and grabbed his bag he searched through it pulling out a pack of cards "Wanna play cards? I don't know any games but you could teach me if you know any?" He stretched his hand out with the deck in his palm nearly against Sam's face.

Hide looked up.

Hide saw Asuka.

Hide was hit in the face by a falling key chain.

Ouch.

The cold, unforgiving metallic keys slid down the contours of the archer's face, followed by the plush, more forgiving softness of the stuffed fox keychain. How rude of her. He rang her doorbell and she threw edged metal objects at him. Even somebody as salty as Hide would have answered the door like a normal human being, or at least gotten someone else to do so. Before it fell on to the ground and he would be forced to debase himself further by bending over, Hide caught the keys by the fluffy keychain and began testing them on the door. When he finally arrived at the correct option, he unchained that key and stuffed it into his pocket after unlocking the door. He entered the shady home and followed the sounds to where Fon and Asuka were, just in time for Asuka's query. Since there wasn't much he could add to her question, he kind of just stood there at the door looking sassy.

Every step felt heavier than the last as Luca walked through the streets of Namimori. He looked around at all the people going about their day as normal. He wished he had that luxury but it had been pulled out from under him in the last 24 hours. The mafia, the Vongola, and him being the 11th boss. It all came crashing into his life like a wrecking ball. What was he supposed to say about it? Every fiber of his being rejected the idea but it all seemed like he didn't have a choice in the matter. What was he going to tell his mother? What was he going to tell dad...especially dad? As he continued his walk down what felt like the valley of death all he could do was think about what Kanesada had said to him.

"I trust you're doing better after what occurred last night, Yuuki?" The yakJuza heir asked referring to his injuries and the episode he had. Luca's eyes remained downcast due to a mixture of depression and partial fear being in the Kanesada's presence. "J-Just Luca is fine..." Ren looked the Vongola heir over and decided to skip the pleasantry's. "As you wish. Let me come right out and say what I came here to say..." He spoke clearly and with resolve as he took a seat opposite Luca. "I've only observed you for a small time but from what I understand you are indecisive and easily shaken. You shy away from challenges and people and lastly your voice carries only as far the isolated space you've created for yourself. You're nearly the antithesis of a good leader." With every word Luca was hit with stinging truths he had come to realize prior to this conversation. The fact that Ren had only known him for such a short time and had managed to already piece together Luca. "If you are to become the successor to the Tenth, as you are now, the Vongola don't stand a chance." The statement was swift and unabated.

Luca gave no objections. Finally, the blonde teen looked at Ren the turmoil he had been feeling all morning evident on his face. "I-I know! Nothing about this scares me more than that fact...that I'm supposed to be lead!" Luca tightened his grip on his pantleg. "They've got the wrong person. I'm not cut out to do something like this. Can't they see that I'm not a leader?!" The room became completely silent for a moment. Finally, Ren stood up. "The fact that you do see that tells me there's a chance you could be." Taken off-guard by the Yakuza boy's statement Luca could do nothing but look at him in surprise. "It's true that you display nothing akin to being a leader but the events of last night say otherwise. In the moment you opposed Miss Volkov you surprised me and I caught a glimpse of your potential." As Luca stared at Ren he could tell his words were sincere. "I've been molded and raised to lead from the moment I could walk. Like you I am also next in like to be the head of my family, the Kanesada. I'm not here to persuade you into accepting your fate; we've both had our paths chosen for, the only difference being that I was born into this world and you were thrust into it less than 24 hours ago. I won't insult your intelligence and say that the mafia world is not as bad as you think. In your position it will seem even worse. You'll be targeted..."

-------

A port town in the coast of Italy, 6:15 AM
The metal door to one of the warehouses began to rise casting the light of the rising sun onto four figures.

-------

Ren continued knowing full well his words might push Luca even further away from his eminent role. "People will get hurt. And try as you might to save any and every person you may fail..."

-------

As the group stepped out of the warehouse the two heading them alternated speaking. "Everything ready to go?" The one on the left asked maneuvering a coin through his fingers. "Boat's all packed up. We can leave anytime." The one on the right placed a fedora on his head and smirked. "Sounds good. Time is money after all~ And the old man?" He asked turning on his heel and walking backwards, facing the one he posed the question to. "He's been informed of our little vacation." The hatted one stuck his tongue out childishly signaling his delight with the news.

-------

So far Ren's speech was far from encouraging. Even so, Luca's vice grip he had on his clothing earlier had subsided. "The mafia world is not a forgiving one. Alone, your dead. That's why we have families. I've been given the honor of being one of your guardians and I have no intention of squandering that title. I'll be there to lend my advice and I'm sure you know those who are willing to lend their support as well." As Ren said this Yuki and Asuna's faces flashed in Luca's mind. "That's all we can do. Whether your leadership guides us to prosperity or ruin is up to you." The yakuza heir said his piece and headed out the door. "Kanesada..." Ren stopped hearing Luca speak to him. "I'm...I'm completely wrong for the job. I don't think I'll ever believe otherwise but...Thanks for coming to talk to me. You've helped clear my mind." Luca gave Ren a quick smile and though it was weak it was genuine. "Hmph. I look forward to the day I can proudly call you boss." With that Ren left Luca to his thoughts and wondered if the Vongola teen would show up tonight. "I'd rather you not call me that..." Luca chuckled.

The setting sun illuminated the stairwell through the windows as Luca's footsteps echoed through the empty school. He approached the door to the roof and stood in front of it for few moments that seemed to last forever. "I really don't have a choice do I? Well, there is one...whether I'll give this my all or not." Luca pushed open the door, temporarily blinded by the light of the sun. Once his eyes adjusted he was greeted by a sense of deja vu as the gathering on the rooftop looked nearly identical to that of the one at the shrine. "S-Sorry I'm late. I...I had a lot on my mind."

-------

Sailing across the water the two leading figures stood at the head of the ship. "What do you think he's like? Knowing him the twerp must be just as soft~" The other simply continued to snake the coin through his fingers. "I don't know, I don't care. Once it's all over the paradigm will finally shift~" Setting the coin in his pocket he leaned forward on the railing while the other sat on it. "Yeah. Hope you've put out some treats cause we're on our way to welcome you to the mafia world...""Vongola Undicesimo~"

"I can't say that isn't unreasonable, this is a very, very big undertaking", he said. He sounded almost sarcastic, but more genuine than normal. By the time Luca had reached the rooftop though... Sam had already set up what looked like a little tea party in the corner. Otherwise he stood for this occasion, as others would join them soon... Or not. He didn't care. The wait was long and he only managed to pass the time by sleeping some of the day off. In any case, it looked like it was about time, after all this heir to the Vongola Family had made his decision.

Shiso & Yuki Volkov - Market

Yuki knew there was no way for her to hide the conflicting feelings that were welling up inside of her, she had no way of stopping Luca from entering into this dark world of hers, but at the same time there was her duty to her family and also this small happy feeling that he finally knew the truth about her. She was so out of it that she didn't sense her sister walking up to her until at least five meters away, though that distance was nothing to a trained assassin so Shi closed in fast and wrapped her arms around Yuki's shoulders.

"Out shopping? Let me join, I want Yuki's boxed dinner"

Yuki tried to wiggle her sister off, but it was too late for that, so it was more getting comfy than anything. "Fine, but don't you have to work? You are meant to be watching the others." Shi nodded before joining by her sisters side and walking along with her through the market, the two lovely women drawing a few stares. "True, but two of them are together on the school roof, then two are with Fon, and finally Luka is nice and safe with someone." Yuki gave a blank stare towards her sister. "N-no it is not a women, calm down."

"So who was it?" Yuki walked up to a vending machine and was wondering which ones to get "Ren. They were talking about some pretty heavy stuff so I decided not to interfere with them, it is better that way. Luca has to make this choice on his own after all. However a little support some a not so grumpy girl would help. Oh this one for me" Yuki pouted as she started to feed some yen into the machine, she wasn't grumpy! Though she was right, she should be acting like her normal self, she should have been there with Luca all day! After the small pep talk the two sisters collected what they had come for before leaving towards home to cook and then the school building.

Shiso & Yuki Volkov - School Rooftop

Suddenly both sisters showed up on the roof, easily jumping over it like it was nothing "Hey" Yuki gave a casual greeting to everyone there as if she did not just pull off a feat like scaling a building with her legs alone, as in both of her hands was a bundle of some kind and a blue plastic bag. Shi on the other hand was peering towards the door with a smile across her lips, she knew who was coming and it made her happy to know he made a good choice.

"These are for all of you."

Placing the bundle on the floor she opened it up to show off a tower of boxed dinners for them, while the plastic bag she put down also had some canned drinks of differing kinds. Her blank look made it seem her it was no big deal, though she was clearly waiting for praise from everyone, however even if none came she suddenly perked up at the sound of a wonderful voice.

"S-Sorry I'm late. I...I had a lot on my mind."

"Luca!" Dashing up to him Yuki tried to catch him in her arms to hug him tightly, she was overjoyed that he had come! Shi on the other hand just chuckled, of course he had come "Well, it seems the main star is here. We will wait for a little longer to see if the others come. So for now enjoy Yuki's cooking." With that mentioned Yuki reached back to her shoulder bag where she pulled out another box and presented it to Luca along with his favorite drink. "This is for you." It had the most care put into it clearly, but something more was Yuki was smiling happily, a expression that only Luca ever got to see, just like on the night of the fireworks.

Arms crossed atop his chest as the solemn male leaned back against the metal fence, his shut, azure eyes opened upon the arrival of the familiar voice. The yakuza heir was punctual as always, having been made up his mind since the previous day, or rather, having been decided by his father to do so. It was true that he was ordered to and therefore he merely obeyed but perhaps, if he had the free will to choose, he would have been standing here at that moment as well. Remaining in his initial position, his gaze turned towards Luca.

Prior to the blonde's arrival, Samael and Naoki... seemed to be having a private tea party of their own? A short while after Ren's arrival, the Volkov sisters had made a somewhat flashy entrance with a few luggage in the younger's hands. They revealed to be packed lunches and beverages for the people who were to be involved in the meeting today. While it was considerate of them, Ren waved his hand dismissively with a polite bow of his head and responded, "....I appreciate the gesture, miss, but... I've no appetite to intake sustenance for the moment. Perhaps at a later time."

After everyone's little message for the arrival of the to-be boss, the rain guardian candidate added, "Your attendance must mean you had made up your mind...?"

Naoki Sat as a swarm of Mafioso members drew in it was Ren, Yuki, Shi, Sam And the boss to be himself Luca. He smiled as he seen everyone one from last night it was deja vu- Asuka? Hide? THE BABY!?

Well whatever was holding them up it had to be about that strange baby, honestly Naoki was unsure about the baby too. He wondered why an infant would be involved in this, he must have held some immense power.

He shook his head and asked "Oi tails where's the baby?" he said back with his stupid confused face that honestly,

Looked punchable....

A fully armed high schooler making his way down town, walking fast with a baby sitting on the tip of a bow might have been something of a striking sight by the standards of everyone who considered themselves to be functioning members of society and not, say, members or conscripts of an international crime syndicate. Furthermore to anyone in the group designated 'functioning members of society', Minase Hideaki would politely but firmly request for you to mind your own goddamn business you piece of fucking shit...please and thank you.

Anyway, with Fon seated comfortably upon Hideaki's shoulder-hanging bow, the two made their way to the designated meeting place as the second-to-last latest people. Or the latest people, Asuka probably wouldn't be showing up anytime soon. And if anybody asked, the young archer could, with complete sincerity, say he had absolutely nothing to do with the poor, unfortunate situation that irritating woman was trapped in. Because he didn't. For real. Even if he really wanted to have done so, he did not. For Minase Hideaki was a proper Japanese (who was actually mostly Korean but we don't talk about that in polite company) man of honor and dignity who respects the sanctity of pure-hearted maidens...

Yeah no. This is the two-faced bastard who would gladly grope yank the tails of a youkai-woman in order to seize a tactical advantage in combat (and nothing else.) and whose first reaction to seeing a 'pure-hearted maiden' ('Ha. As if she could ever be called that') in trouble against a superior foe is attacking them himself. Unsurprisingly, he had no friends. Real friends that is. If you counted those pathetic sycophants known collectively as the 'Nami Middle Student Body', he had plenty of 'friends'. Why was this relevant? Simple: Because bonds were about to become just a little bit more important in the life of Minase Hideaki.

Or not. He's the Cloud Guardian Candidate after all.

And then Hide was on the roof. Yay.

----But first things first:

"Oi tails where's the baby?"

It was not addressed to him, no. But he had heard it loud and clear. Hide turned to Naoki. He then turned to Fon but said nothing. He just needed to make sure Fon was still there, and he was. Hide looked back at Naoki.

"..."

Hide resisted the overwhelming urge to punch Naoki in the face.

Shine on, Hide. Shine on.

Unfortunately since Luca was busy standing in the doorway leading to the actual rooftop, Hide once again quote-unquote:
kind of just stood there at the door looking sassy.

Luca looked around the roof slightly confused at the apparent tea party Samael had set up. Sam reassured him that the time he took to gather his thoughts was reasonable although his tone had a hint of sarcasm. "Th-Thanks for understanding..." He said bashfully while scratching the back of his head. Suddenly, a white blur approached him with impressive speed. "Ah...wait wait wait...!" Luca panicked and braced himself for impact only to feel a warmth around him. "Y-Yuki?" Realizing he wasn't in danger and that it was Yuki he blushed as she embraced him. He opened his mouth to protest but decided against it. She must have been concerned about him all day, especially considering the state he left the shrine in last night. "Sorry if I made you worry. I'm okay now...mostly." He said with a slight chuckle.

"Your attendance must mean you had made up your mind...?" Luca turned his attention to the yakuza heir with a nervous look. "I'd be lying if I said completely...I'm...willing to try." He smiled and gave Ren a nod of thanks. After Shi suggested they eat while they waited for Asuka, Hideaki and Fon, Yuuki released Luca from her hold with an enthusiastic voice. "This is for you." She handed him a bento and a drink. Luca blinked and looked at her thinking that he couldn't see this girl as a trained mafioso. He still couldn't figure out what he did to deserve her attention.

"Oi tails where's the baby?" Naoki chimed. Luca slightly feared for the boys life as he could easily imagine Yuki's sister not liking the casual nicknaming. "Sorry to keep you all waiting." Fon spoke as he arrived sitting on Hideaki's shoulder. Startled, Luca jumped out of the pair's way to allowing them onto the roof. "Thank you." With a quick show of gratitude for Hideaki lending him his shoulder Fon transferred from the archer to Luca's shoulder. "I'm glad to see that you're looking well. Excuse our tardiness. A slight incident occurred that Miss Asuka will be dealing with for a time but she'll be informed about this meetings events." Fon neglected to explain what this incident was to everyone but suffice to say Hideaki, being as wary and confrontational as he is with Asuka, took the opportunity of being in her home to scout out the environment as if to eliminate her home field advantage if a skirmish were to breakout in the Argento household. It took the president some time just to get the snoop to leave. Currently, Asuka is meticulously making sure that the archer had not sabotaged or stolen anything.

Yuki smiled softly as Luca accepted the food and drink from her, he was otherwise treating her normally even despite discovering the fact that she was a assassin, it made her happy to say the least but right now she didn't have time to keep fawning over him. Peering around at all the others she could not help but wonder how many of the people that remained here were welcome of this new world, or even returning to it. Judging power alone there were a few here that had skill that was for sure.

She would remain by Luca's side for the time being, after all she had not gotten to see him in at least 24 hours, that was too much for one person surely! She had her own food to eat while listening to the others speak, though it seemed a small show was about to be put on by her sister and the guy that decided it was a good idea to give one of the worlds best assassins a nickname before even earning such a right. "This is going to be good" She mumbled before opening up her can of strawberry ice tea.

Shi retained the soft smile on her face but it felt somehow much more dangerous as her eyes traced towards Naoki after he decided to talk to her in such a rude manner. Luckily Fon appeared at that moment, causing Shi to regain her professional manner, and with that it seemed like it was time to get started. "The time has come it seems. Looking around I can see that a great number of you have returned and are willing to join the family, more so dear Luca. Before we start, do any of you have any questions for me? This is a very important time, you are all going to be aiming for a place within the family, including my sister." She could not help but smile at that "So let us hope you are not gunning for the same position as her."

Samael | Rooftop

"Hmmmm... Questions, well not really... Everyone here must've been already chosen for one of these 'positions', I think I'd like to know what they are", he knew what these positions were, they were revered among the family. The guardians of the flames, Storm, Mist, Cloud, Lightning, Rain, and the Vongola head's Sky. It was obvious that Luca here was the one who represented the Sky, but what about everyone else? Sam knew his own potential with Mist, so he had some idea.

"And so would they", he added.

Shi's tail swayed from side to side like a ticking grandfather clock as she waited for the others to pose their questions, however when none came she suspected they understood just what they were getting themselves into, that was fine. Though Samael did pose one about just what they were picked to be, a understandable question after all she did explain about the guardians while they had all met at the shrine so that was what peaked his interest?

"Well, I suppose I can tell you. where shall we start? Ah, with the Guardians? My sister over there trying to feed your future boss-," She gestured to Yuki holding a hotdog on the end of a fork and trying to poke it into Luca's mouth, a rather innocent looking assassin it seems. "She was to join the ranks of Varia, but has forced the issue into becoming one of the Sun Guardian Candidates along with Akane Kimiko." She looked to the others, to make this fast she simply pointed to them in turn and announced what they were to be.

"Samael Mist Guardian Candidate
Naoki Shindo Thunder Guardian Canidate
Minase Hideaki Cloud Guardian Candidate
Rentarou Kanesada Rain Guardian Candidate"

Lowering her hands she waited for a few moments "And of course we have the Storm Guardian Candidate, who belongs too our late dear Asuka Argento" It was this moment this moment that the girl would have come through the door, Shi's ears were not just for show afterall. "You have not missed much, Fon will just fill you in while I explain this: There are also the Varia members, if you are chosen to become one of these you will discover what it means, however as of right now simply focus on the tasks at hand."

Just as Shi had predicted Asuka would burst through the door she appeared, hearing her name. "Well~ Seems you decided to aid me in making an entrance." She cooed playfully as she took a small bow. "Thank you very much." She smiled as she before giggling at the sight of Yuki trying to feed Luca. It was so cute. Especially given what they'd learned of her background.

Once she scanned the area, making sure she remembered each person who'd showed up, she took a position beside Hideaki before affectionately elbowing him in the side."Where's my key, Mr. Stalker?" She asked in a whisper a bit annoyed after finding that one of her keys was missing from he ring. Of course, she wouldn't be so loud as to make him out to look like a creep before their possible new comrades. Not until more was known about everyone. But she did want her property back.
