While they where talking about the hunters, she walked up to the young women behind the desk. ''Good evening, I am here because I got a phone call about my niece.. i am her only family close by so I rushed here.. Could you tell me how she is? I believed she was in surgery right now'' she said. Since she hadn't had time for herself to get cleaned up she did looked rushed and the young women nodded. ''Someone did arrive in a very bad stage.. Could you tell me her name?'' she said. ''Anton'' Vanessa said and looked at her. ''We both have different last names, my mother and father never said anything about it, we hadn't much contact with her side of the family... We our parents didn't..'' she said, feeding the young women the lies like it was candy to a kid.

The young women was tricked for it and helped Vanessa with the information she wanted and made her the promise to let her know what was going on the moment they knew more. Vanessa thanked the young women and then walked back to the boys. ''She is still in surgery and for as far they know, she is close to survival, but her state is pretty bad'' she said and smiled. ''They will let me know when they know more, and are very happy that a niece could come too help the girl recover''

Carlson thought over what Kalib had told him, and looked in the direction of Anton's surgery "We can't start anything. Not with one of our own in surgery. Hospitals are no place to plot a murder. We just keep to ourselves for now. but I want you to keep an eye out .If anything happens, you need to tell me immediately"

He nodded. "Got it." Feeling better now that he knew what the plan was, Kalib glanced over at the new girl. It still felt weird how they're adding a new pack member so suddenly. "And thanks. . ." I guess. Man, this is awkward. Then he remembered. "Carlson, I want to go back to the junkyard. Fay's still there." He wanted to go back and check on her but if Carlson needed him to stay, he would.

Vanessa could feel how weird he was feeling about her being add to the pack and maybe she simply wanted to help to badly. She nodded and took a seat on one of the plastic chairs and looked at the window, wondering how in such a short time, she got into so much stuff. She had arrived, had tried to help a girl on the junkyard which had turned out to be not so nice even though she did her best to help and then she had followed her nose, ending in a hospital. Talking with the Alpha of a pack here in this town and before she even could think of where she would have to sleep, she had a pack! It all was so weird.

She knew she had been too enthusiastic about being add to a new pack and had wanted to help to much, so.. She would now simply wait for the nurse to call her name if they had more news. Maybe wait for the alpha and other beta to start talking with her, she was a stranger and now also felt like that.. Entering a new pack wasn't as easy as she had hoped, but then again she had only known her own family pack, where she was born. She felt sleepy and felt how her eyes started to feel heavy.. 'Don't fall asleep now..' she told herself.

Carlson put some serious thought into this. If things went south, would he need Kalib? Honestly, no. Carlson wasn't just an alpha, he was an ex marine (in training, at least) and wasn't just given the alpha title because he was smart. Brute force was a necessary evil in his line of work. he'd handle things fine, as well as perhaps talk more with this potential new member of the pack. "Go find Fey, and either bring her here or bring her home. I'll trust your decision." he instructed to Kalib. "But be careful, and at any sign of trouble you call or text me. We're clear?"

Anton woke up to a steady beep, beep, beep. She could feel bandages wrapped around her head and her arm was in a plaster cast, suspended from a wire at the top of her bed. Looking down, she was dressed in a crisp hospital gown. She felt like a big bruise - a nurse was walking past. She shouted, "Hey! Hey you!" The nurse turned to her with a shocked face. "Y-yes?" She managed to stammer. "Where am I? I need..." Anton thought who she had saw last. No, not the surgeon... Kalib! "I need to see Kalib." She said with confidence. The dopey nurse finally looked down to see Anton's information on her clipboard. She waddled off, leaving Anton behind shouting, "Hey, come back!"

Two Nurses walked over to the front desk and the nurse behind it nodded and walked over to Vanessa. "She is awake... And she asked for Kalib.. Do you know him?" She asked. Vanessa looked up. "Yes, that's this man here, he brought her here and managed to get in touch with me" she said. "Let him go see her first, I'll wait." She said. The nurse wanted to say something but Vanessa looked at her with a 'I-Wont-Take-No-For-A-Answer' look and the nurse nodded. "Sir Kalib, please follow me" she said. Vanessa looked at Kalib and hoped he would understand that be had to convince Anton to play along with the little lie she had told or else those doctors and nurses wouldn't let her go home.

Before Kalib could answer where he was going to go, a nurse came up to him and asked for him to follow. A glance from Vanessa queued him in on what was up. He was going to see Anton. With a quick nod to Carlson, he left the waiting area and followed the nurse. He wasn't sure what he was going to expect once he's with Anton. All he knew was Anton's face was pounded in and Fey was covered in Anton's blood. "What the hell went on back there?" Kalib hoped to find the answer to that question soon.

The nurse lead Kalib up to the second floor and to the room in the corner of the hall. Kalib made sure to remember the room number in case of anything. "Room 210." He thanked the nurse and went into the room by himself. "Anton?" The lights in the room were slightly dimmed -- probably to let Anton sleep off the surgery -- but Kalib could see her form clearly on the hospital bed. He went to her side. "How are you doing?"

It had been a long day for Turisa, It was like most days in the month when one would be working in a local grocery store of this small town. Most times it would be a local getting some fresh food or a passer by wanting to get some souveniers, Either way it was quite for the most part and that is how Turisa liked it. A nice, quiet and simple existence scrapping up what ever money she could get to keep the apartment she was renting going, At the days end Turisa got some little bits of shopping supplies for herself and took off home to put them away before cleaning herself up and changing into something more comfortable and casual than work clothes.

After watching a little bit of TV and having a bite to eat, The young blonde felt like indulging herself with a beverage or two from the local bar, She never really went there to often like a regular drinker or anything like that but every now and again Turisa would go and endugle herself to a drink and relax at a table. Tidying up her hair a little but keeping it down as she had it up most of the day from wokr, And then putting some casual black high heel boots on, Turisa grabbed her keys and some money and made her way out locking up her apartment to head down the the bar. Sure it was quite late but that didn't worry Turisa at all, It wasn't as if she was going into the woods at night, Now matter how much she would love to see the moonlight shining upon the lake.

After a little bit of walking around down to the bar, Turisa walked in, The place had that feeling that it had some action at some point this evening, Probably a drunk that had one to many, But still it meant it was be a little more quieter as she went up to the bar before giving a polite smile and asking for a drink she enjoys. "Evening, Can I have one Kopparberg Raspberry cider with some ice please." She asked the individual behind the bar serving as Turisa remained seated at the bar itself.

Nanix turned to Tursia and half smiled. I mean, it was late, what was this person doing here? It was almost last call at this damn place. "comin' right up. Pay first, though" she pointed out

The Black strolled the night covered streets with his scouts. His son Eric wasn't with the group, but had been waiting by the hospital to see new points of entry. Moments of opportunity. One apparently had sprung up as Eric came running up to his father.

"What is it?"

"They brought in a girl, severely wounded."

"How bad?"

"Looked like she was beaten almost to death. Never seen anything like that except in Alaska."

A menacing grin graced The Black's face. "She's here. It has to be her. Without guidance, without control, and without any support… She's bound to lose control in fear. I think it's time I've revisited that hospital." While they stood by an alleyway, a police cruiser sat parked. An officer placed a bag of fast food on the car, holding his walkie talkie.

"Disturbance around the bar by the dump?" He sighed, irritated. "Alright, I'll check it out."

But he wouldn't. Kane appeared behind the officer, and when he saw The Black's reflection in the window of his cruiser it was too late. A pair of strong hands grasped onto his head. Seconds later, a sickening snap as the officer crumpled to the ground. Never to be getting up again. "This requires a more finesse touch."

Strolling down the hallway of the hospital, The Black went uninterrupted. Not bothered as the nurses and doctors greeted him or said hello. Police cap on his head, firearm in the holster. Full uniform. He already asked the front desk to see Anton, to see the others who knew her so he could ask questions about a crime scene. That was the story, and not many people questioned the police especially the golden eyed man who could cast one single glance to silence anyone.

The Black opened the door to Anton's room, and saw Kalib as well.

"Excuse me. I don't mean to interrupt you, it's just I've had certain reports among other things about tonight. Is she okay to speak? I have a few questions and I'll be on my way." The Black played his role. Trying to keep them off edge and pulling back the intimidation of his presence. But, there was no way to hide the stench of blood forever etched on his soul.

Carlson had known The Black's scent as soon as he walked in. Another alpha? In his territory? And no warning that he was in the area? Thats almost never good. Carlson took a moment to compose himself. He never likes being mean to other alphas. He lived by the mantra "Do no harm but take no shit" accompanied by an equally important mantra of "Be nice until they are mean". He walked in after The Black, and looked at Kalib. He tried to convey that he should not be intimidated by The Black, and convey it he did. There was no fear, apprehension, or caution on his features. His face was calm, mostly, but a bit like stone. Hard to read

"Most alphas call ahead before entering another's territory" Carlson voiced, shutting the door behind him. "I hope that what you are doing in my territory is important, sir" Carlson's voice had no bite to it. He wasn't trying to be threatening.

The sudden intrusion of this man in police uniform startled Kalib a bit, as did the evident musk. The officer didn't smell like other police people. Instead he smelled like a mix of forest and the alleyways; Kalib didn't know what to think. It's not like he didn't trust the police but at the same time this guy was sort of weird? He couldn't put his finger on it but as he turned to face the intruder, his fingers glided carefully to hover over the "call nurse" button on the remote attached to Anton's bed.

He was about to ask to see the man's badge when Carlson came through the door as well. Comforted by the presence of the alpha, Kalib felt at least a bit safer having another able-bodied pack member around. With Anton in the condition she was in, he wasn't going to let any other bad thing happen to her tonight. Thank god Carlson's here. I don't want to explain why I needed to beat up a policeman in a hospital. He sighed in relief. I'm too young to go to jail.
