An old RP from the old Guild, revitalized and re put on here for shits and giggles people's enjoyment.
The general gist is that it takes place in a multiverse, each verse is unique and diverse like ours, and generally each unique franchise has its own dimension, such as Silent Hill, Warhammer 40k, Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann and the like.
One can travel to the different dimensions through "rifts" basically holes torn in the fabric of space, they can occur naturally if similar events transpire in relative close proximity each other, but the most common occurrence of them are artificial. Usually through two means, antimatter, or the weapon of an Archon.
What's an Archon? You ask? Good question, if you didn't ask then, well, I'm gonna tell you anyway, since you knew that I was already going to. An Archon is a being that is the essence of an element, the cool kind, not like the ones on the periodic table. These beings have existed since the dawn of time, and their elements are: Light, Dark, Air, Water, Time, Gravity, Ice, Fire, Stone, Earth, Death, and Storm. Back in the day they existed to make sure the multiverse moved on normally, as it should. They were good at it, but then The Archon of Darkness found out some secrets he shouldn't have, and went insane. The result of his insanity was an apocalypse scale war where he attempted to corrupt and destroy the multiverse, and the other Archons put a stop to him, but not before he infects the Light Archon with a fragment of his conscience. Realizing afterwards that they posed as much of a threat to the status quo as they were good at protecting it (very) they decided to infuse all of their power into their weapons and live normal lives in separate dimensions.
All of them except Death
So this is where the player characters come in, Death has plans for the multiverse, bad ones, and he's gone and murdered every single other Archon in order to make sure they can't interfere. He left their children alive though, as a perverse "challenge".
Enter Marcus Skylark, son of the Archon of Light, he watched his parents be brutally murdered right in front of him as a four year old, and is a rather surly individual. When he matured he managed to get himself a ship that can open rifts, called the Leviathan and a motley crew of Archons, unfortunately when he attackd Ragnarok's dimension it didn't go so well, resulting in the rest of the Archons dying, Marcus getting severely injured. Fortunately for him the archon of time sent him back in time to start it over, he did so, learning a few lessons along the way. Unfortunately for him it still didn't work, this time he brought back the archon of time and archon of water. This time they're playing for keeps, armed with their ship, their abilites and foreknowledge of where their fellow Archons are located.
So what am I playing exactly? You still ask, lemme explain it out, (I tend to ramble, apologies)
As a hybrid archon, you have the following attributes after activating your genes (grabbing onto your parent's weapon) Control of the parent's element, (self explanatory, fire can create fires and raise the temperature, Air can create gusts of wind, suck the air out of people's lungs, Ice can freeze shit etc) Immortality (to aging anyway, your half mortal blood means you can still die by specially tailored poisons and other physical trauma such as stab wounds) Telepathy, and a useless popup a spirit guide that lives in your mind and tells you how to use your abilites. You'll start off unaware of your heritage, and be kidnapped approached by Marcus and the gang about your destiny.
