FINALLY! I am...reasonably satisfied with my last post. I'll probably still make adjustments, but I'm ready to focus on the next post. Oh, I do need to make a post for the other thread I'm in but then I'll get working on my gatehouse attack. Yeah siege time!

Sorry if I'm inactive, guys, both here and on the pad. Summer's over, and I'm back to being swamped in classes; I imagine it's the same for most of you as well. I'll try to find time to write stuff up when I can.

So, unfortunately, I didn't get to start on my post today, but I'm going to try to get something up by Sunday or Monday. Also, and I could be wrong, but I think RyanTadashi might have bailed since he's been gone for 13 days. Just a thought.

Sorry about going MIA people. My dog for 15 years (since I was 7) died last week and I just can't get motivated to do anything. My sister is also going away to college tomorrow morning, so I'm just in a rut.

I feel like you guys are cruisin on this, and my character didn't add much anyway, so I'm just gonna wish you guys luck. Just know that I will still be keeping an eye out to read the IC. Y'all have an amazing story going.

The newspaper is taking up like 90% of my time ATM. Vahir/anyone, feel free to take control and push the story along. I really do not want this game to stall: I'll hop back in when I get the time.

Basically. These opening shifts are destroying me and my muse. I will, however, have a new IC post up by Monday to get us to the start of the siege. From there, I'm not sure what we'll do, but we'll muddle through. I'm not overly concerned...unless the OOC thread goes quiet for like a week. Then there shall be much panic.

@Vahir I am somewhat interested, but not entirely sure how you're running things. I still need to read through the IC. Also I'd like to know if you have a word count minimum, a posting frequency requirement, that sort of thing. Also, are characters generally together? I see you seem to be playing Oromis, and players are to be valued underlings (or maybe not-so-valued). I might have some ideas for this. I have a character that might fit with some tweaking -- she's usually a half-spirit, but I can change that or come up with a good reason for it based on the rules of this world. Or I have mercenaries, or a doctor-type, or...I could come up with someone new. ^.^ Low-magic, that's cool. Not my usual game, but why not try something new, right? Hm, what else. I need to know more about what Oromis professes as his intention for the lands under his rule, as well as what history says about his first rule. Are Naytheists (people who know there are gods but don't worship any of them despite solid evidence) allowed? Is Oromis even recognizable as his old self, or is there proof of other gods? What sort of supernatural creatures, if any, are there, aside from player races? Sorry about all the questions, I do tend to ask a lot of them.

@shylarah Hey there, I might be able to answer some of your questions. As far as I know, and Vahir can correct me on this, I don't believe he has a word count or posting frequency requirement. We try to do at least one post a week, though that doesn't always pan out. And I think 'valued underlings' is an excellent way to describe our characters. Not sure about the half-spirit thing, but I suppose that decision rests with our GM. And yes, the only magic in the world is wielded by Oromis himself or found in sila stones. As far as Oromis' intentions, he claims to want to bring peace to a world torn apart by war. In order to do this, however, he's basically waging a war of conquest against his enemies alongside his loyal Mardochian followers and a sizable mercenary force. I'm not sure what Vahir had in mind as far as what life was like under Oromis before. If I recall correctly, however, he cast down the elves but was dealt a mortal wound by his adversary, Bucephalus. He left behind a Prophet to rule in his stead. When he returned a second time, however, he was disgusted with how the original Prophet's descendants were ruling the Etruscans, and the God-King tried to bring them down. Sadly, he was assassinated over the course of a vicious civil war. I don't think Oromis ever had an opportunity to rule since he was so busy fighting or getting killed lol. At any rate, I'm sure there are plenty of people who don't worship any gods at all. There are numerous gods venerated throughout Tverios, but, apart from the dwarves possibly, I have a feeling the various racial and political leaders aren't too strict about enforcing religious doctrine. This varies depending on where a person lives, though. If you don't worship Oromis in the the city of Tolos then it would probably be in your best interests not to make a huge deal out of it. The presence of supernatural creatures is actually another question I'm not sure about. We've established that the symbol of the old elven empire was a dragon rampant so maybe there were dragons at one point? I'm not sure. I get a very "Game of Thrones meets Lord of the Rings" vibe from this RP. There are fantastical elements, but they are grounded in something approximating realism. Maybe creatures like griffins, manticores, dragons and whatnot existed at one point, but I'm not sure they do anymore.

Of course, this is mostly conjecture on my part. I just know that Vahir is busy at the moment and was hoping I could answer some of your questions from what I've gleaned from various posts.
