Aurora Falls, Minnesota. Population: 134, precisely. Barely anyone passes through, so nobody notices that something weird is always happening. Well, almost nobody. A few years back a senior at Aurora Falls Highschool founded the Paranormal Investigation Club to deal with these things. On the outside they seem to just be a bunch of kids fascinated with cryptids, monsters, aliens, and demons. But the small group of kids is all that stands between Aurora Falls and any threat out there.
Rules
1- First and foremost, please be respectful to your fellow RPers.
2- At least give a paragraph (six sentences) per post. I understand writer's block perfectly well, but try to avoid it. Additionally, please try and use good English and grammar. I understand typos, but if someone starts using l337 5p34k for anything other than humor, I will be forced to take measures.
3- The RP will follow arcs. Arcs must be completed to further the story, and what happens during an arc will affect future arcs.
4- Keep it PG13. The RP is open to comedy, romance, and violence, but don't make it the main focus. The main focus is protecting the people of Aurora Falls!
5- On that note, the tone of the story will be akin to the anime FLCL. If you haven't seen the series, just watch the first episode. Sets the tone for the next five. ;)
6- Everyone wants to be the big, damn hero. But that, dear children, is cannibalism godmodding, and is, in fact frowned upon. Other acts of godmodding include controlling, severely injuring, or killing another player's character without express permission.
7- Have some fun! But not too much. Okay, forget that second part. :P

Aurora Falls is by no means a normal town. Nobody here is. Well, almost nobody. Here's a list of NPCs I'll be using to control the plot.
- Sheriff Brady: Aurora Falls' police chief. He's a good man, but absolutely blind to the bizarre things that happen around town. Fir the most part he's worried about the (nonexistent) threat presented by "them damn border-jumpers"... better known to everyone else as Canadians.
- Professor Johannes Kugge: A retired scientist and inventor, Kugge is brilliant in the field of robotics. He teaches metal-working at the local highschool, but is rarely seen around town since he's in his garage/lab.
- Harry Hu: A geneticist who went to UCLA, Hu claims to be the inspiration for the book "Jurassic Park" by Michael Crichton. However he works in Aurora Falls for the US government.
- Johnny Soho: A man in his fifties, Soho was the inspiration for the song "Werewolves of London". Every full moon he transforms into his werewolf form. However, rather than prey on helpless livestock or teenagers out on lovers' lane, he drops by the local bar for enough steak n' shrimp to feed a small village in Africa.
- The Kasai Family: The owners of the only Asian restaurant in town, the Kasai family has never given a definitive answer on their ancestry. But not many people ask, since they serve Chinese, Japanese, Vietnamese, and Thai Monday through Saturday, and a Mongolian grill on Sunday. However everyone-- Mom, Dad, their daughter Sakura, and baby boy Shizi-- is a neko.
- Rorie: Lake Aurora's resident lake monster. Rorie seems to have some relation to Harry Hu. Normally quite peaceful, Rorie hates it when someone catches a fish he's after.
