It didn't need fixing. I was stating my character's opinions of the other PCs she'd met, and that's what she thinks of Red.

Hey, I'm a pleb and I'm looking to join, I've read a nice chunk of the IC mainly the Fated Fallen's IC and I was wondering if I could join in on the fun?

@Jon Y while I have no idea what a pleb is, we'd be happy to have you. :)

Rules and cs are noted on the first page of the ooc, I'm asking for a minimum of 200 words per post. As for your character, I'm looking for someone who makes sense and can contribute in our plot/setting. If you have any questions, myself an anyone here would be happy to help you.

Note to all: So I've recently started a new job which is a bit demanding of my time. Mon-Friday, 9a-6p. I get a break early afternoon each day, and that would pretty much be the only time during this frame that I'd be able to reply to anything. I'm hoping that the rp won't suffer too much, and I will certainly be around when I can to help anyone out and keep the story going. :)

Name: Ionathan Hepburnberg

Race: Half-Elf

Description: Tall, Honourable and kind-hearted.
Age: 28

Gender: Male

Appearance: Dark Green eyes under black eyebrows and short hair. At 6 foot Ionathan is above average height for humans and easily stands out with his sharp, elven like features including elf like ears but more rounded and less pronounced, he has a Light skin colour with a small scar on his right cheekbone

Clothing/Armor: A standard issue Guardsman attire which consists of a Tabard with Chain mail and padding underneath. He has a few satchels upon his belt consisting of first aid supplies. Atop his head is the Standard issue guardsman’s kettle helmet. When off duty Ionathan wears a plain brown tunic.

Weapons: Ionathan wields a spear like other guardsman, the spear itself is the same height as Ionathan (6 foot) he also carries a balanced longsword, Ionathan sometimes wields the sword two handed for extra power but usually equips his shield that is carried on his back. The shield is a standard kite shield with the Waeldeshore heraldry for a coat of arms.

Skills/Abilities: An experience fighter, Ionathan's experience in the army has not left him as he remembers the battles he was in and how to take on opponents of different measure. As part of his soldier training the iron discipline is still embedded in Ionathan's mind.
Ionathan knows basic first aid with some advance understanding of the significance of wounds.

Backstory: With a human father and a elven mother Ionathan got to learn about both human and elven cultures from an early age. However, His father was a wealthy landowner so his marriage to an elf was most scandalous, this left Ionathan with a resentment of the nobility and few friends. Ionathan in his childhood and adolescents spent his time reading and received a good education via private tutors. When the war broke out Ionathan had just reached Adulthood and being in a noble family he was enlisted as an officer cadet, Ionathan's training at the officers training camp was harsh but effective, at the start he was like any other who had just reached adult hood, full of energy and always cheerful, but by the end he was a disciplined and skilled officer who acted with knowledge and calculation rather than gut feeling. After The training he was assigned to be a Lieutenant of the 35th regiment of foot where he served throughout the war. The 35th served with valor and duty with their most famous action taking place when a strike force went to strike a supply town near the border and the 35th held the road despite repeated enemy assaults until reinforcements arrived, the officers were personally kissed on the cheeks by the ruling official of the town and were offered the best rooms in the taverns while the regiment was resupplied.

After the war Ionathan adopted a girl made orphaned by the war and settled down and bought a cosy 2 bedroomed house in Waeldeshore were he became a guard for the town. Over the years he reflected on his life in the army while growing to like the town and became a respected by his colleagues and the town for his by the book approach to handling situations and his good relation with the Guard Captain. Throughout the years he made sure that his daughter was given the best education he could afford her with his salary, even on the weekends giving lessons himself. He remains in close contact with his parents who visit every month. Ionathan is looking forward to a life of keeping law and order while letting time heal the wounds of war.

@Jon Y so I'd like to iron out a few details with you. Currently, the gentleman who has the title of 'Captain of the Guard' in Waeldeshore is Davik Mitchell, played by myself as sort of a filler to help the story along. I'm not sure if the Lord-Marshal (mayor?) of Waeldeshore would be the type to kiss his officers on the cheek. In the time line, the war was about 5 years ago from this point in our story. As written, there are no 'nobles' within the town and Waeldeshore was the most established place through out the island. Which is what kept it so strong during the war and in years after.

I have no problems if people were to integrate their story and make a canon character, building on the lore that I presented. I also love the idea of having a guard within the group. But we're going to have to tweak your character a bit for him to be playable.

@IcePezz These are excellent points and I will change Ionathan to probably just a normal Guardsman and remove the bit about his father. With the whole Major kissing thing I was more talking about a random supply town rather than Waeldeshore itself but I'll just remove that from the backstory its not really important information, that being said I must say that if you don’t mind I would like to know a little about the war itself, For example, during the war was Silver Lilly Isle invaded and partically ocupied or did it beat back the attackers? Also, how effected was Silver Lilly Isle by the war? Wsd it battered or left ruined, I know the first page does say about the war and how "It’s scar still runs deep" but if you don’t mind I would like some more information please. Anyways thank you for the feedback, I will change Ionathan post haste

Lynessa wears medium armor because she likes he balance defense and flexibility. Her armor has a red trim that goes around all parts of her armor. On the back of her armor she has a simple of three swords pointing down.

Weapons:
Lynessa carries a steel longsword. It is inscribed with magical runes that makes her weapon heavy to everyone except her. She holds her sword in the sheath on her waste. Her sword's name is called Dark heart.

Alignment:
Chaotic neutral

Skills/Abilities:
Lynessa has been trained in the way of the sword since she was very young. She has also been trained in hand to hand combat and is above average at both swordsmanship and hand to hand combat. She is also stronger then most women her age.

Magic:
Lynessa has a handle on most basic elemental magics. But she is more proeffecient at body manipulation magic. She can make her self move faster, pick up heavy objects, jump semi high distances etc. She can only use this type of magic if she has her sword in her hand. If darkheart was to leave her possession any type of manipulation magic would dissappear. She is able to use all of her magic by digging into a pool of mana inside her body. At the moment she is able to fire about five to six spells before becoming tired.

Backstory: Lynessa was born a princess from a far away island. But she never knew her parents or anybody from her homeland. A few months after Lynessa turned three a rebellion had started. The kings castle was seized peasants running through the halls killing any noble they could get there hands on. The only reason Lynessa survived was because she was smuggled on a ship by some peasant who still sided with the royal family.

She and one of the family's most trusted advisors landed at the harbor of waeldeshore. It is there he raised Lynessa teaching her to defend herself with both physical and magical training. It took her about ten years to master swordsmanship and be able to use the most basic of her family's magic. All that time she was never exposed to the outside world, she stayed in the confines of her masters farm that was on the outside of waeldeshore. One day her master left and after waiting a few days she noticed he didn't return, now she is searching for her lost master.

@voteforpandaa I like her, but there are few things that I'm unsettled about. At age 21, I don't think her skill level with a sword would be master. It would've taken 10 years to complete her training, fine. But to have mastered it, I don't think that's possible. I think of this like Ken ND Ryu, from street fighter. They both trained from a young age. They completed their training in their early 20's. But they were no where near their masters level. She's still very young, inexperienced in actual battle, she's a master of nothing at this point. Any soldier will tell you that unless you've actually fought in the battles, you don't have any real experience.

I like the balance you provided in her magic abilities, without the sword, she is just your regular swordsman. But at the same time, it doesn't quite make sense. How cumbersome is it to lift a heavy object with a sword in your hand? Not to mention, if magic was passed through her family line, shouldn't she be able to conjure and use it without the use of the sword? Or is just the elemental magic passed down through her family?

As it stands currently, she is a magic user and a fighter, who is proficient in both. She's ignored the magic passed down to her by her family to focus more on her swordsman ship because the 'body manipulation' magic was more important?

I think it would make a better character if the sword was enchanted to make the user stronger and faster, instead of that being a particular skill of magic for her. I feel like you've given her way too much power. you want her to be a mage, who unlike most mages, have high strength, and she is a swordsman who is of master skill. All of this, and she's only 21. Perhaps in a different realm, but this does not fit what I am looking for in this rp.

Which makes me sorta take back what I said earlier, because I'm pretty sure what I had originally wrote was that Silver Lily Isle was made of Lords and high mages. Mages wanted to rule, and hence the war. You could find most details either in the first post of the ooc or first post of the ic. So they weren't invaded. But most of the smaller towns had been wiped out, leaving most of the island to settle within or around waeldeshore. If you would like, since your character is supposed to be from a neighboring town, I wouldn't mind you building up that lore at all. I'm sorry if I'm no help on this at the moment. I had a horrible day yesterday and didn't sleep well. After reading what you have there now, I'd say he's great!

I realize that I may be nitpicking here, and if I am, I'm sorry. If anyone else has something they'd like to contribute regarding these characters or anything else, I pass the conch shell to you :)
