@Zaresto Just a thought: If he preceded civilization itself, wouldn't he precede Sempra-Tor's need for and creation of immortals?

"It was Satan's uprising that had forced Sempra-Tor's hand in selecting his immortals."

"The first human to ever wield magic effectively was a man known as Satan"

And that all the immortals were selected in their prime.

Oh, and I'm still interested. I'm making a second app in case my first one ain't good 'nuff.

Sempra-Tor would pick people in their prime age. 20-40, give or take a few years.

@WilsonTurner

Young people are boooooooooooring.

@The Omnipotent Sphere

The Codex said that Satan's uprising forced Sempra-Tor's hand, which I assume would mean that it forced him to act by selecting more immortals, but wasn't the first time he selected immortals. As stated in the Codex,

Not all immortals have been around since the dawn of humanity

By this statement, I inferred that although not all immortals have been around since the conception of the human race, some would have been selected in times before civilization.

If we were to interpret each part of the Codex independently, couldn't we assume that if,

Sempra-Tor had carefully watched humanity for three years, selecting individuals that showed certain traits needed to defeat Satan

Then wouldn't only people selected after those three years be immortals?

Point taken.

Still too old, I think. Being old and frail means you're slower and more likely to die, even as a powerful Magi. Where others can run, sprint, etc, with the springy energy of a man or woman in their prime, while wielding magic, technology, or both, they could still equal you in power, but be able to move faster, and use more technology.

In comparison to other immortals, you are experienced, yes, you are a powerful Magi, yes, but another Immortal would be able to beat you, if they focused all their magics on countering your attacks, and then using technology to drill through your shields and get a hit. Being old also means that you wouldn't be able to take as many hits- one hit could break bones that would not break on a younger person.

Sempra-Tor picked Immortals for ability and potential, and gave them a mission. He wouldn't pick someone that, in comparison to others, wouldn't be able to be as effective. Wisdom and knowledge would be useful, but when one is older, one starts slowing down. They're less likely to be as driven as younger people, so I would think that Sempra would pick him when he was younger, and still very much active.

But I may be wrong. Up to Whoami, really.

I am making a Russian character, because I believe the Russian will beat my Nord.

But hey, either way works.

If one fails, I still may get in.

@Zaresto Point taken. Also, unless you only have a problem with aesthetically young people I'd like to point out that our characters are still many thousands of years old and your character could look like a twelve yr old and behave like an ancient sage given that lifespan.

I'd prefer having one character per player. It's easier to manage on both the GM's end and the player's end.

While you may prefer this, I'm just gonna ask if I can make a 2nd character. I just want to create another character that is separated from the high and almighty and connected to the digital world of earth. So yeah, you can reject this but I had a cool idea spurt after reading the social media codex.

To clarify, "Not all immortals have been around since the dawn of humanity" is meant to state that immortals have been picked -afterward- not before.

And if you guys -really- want to make second characters, I'd like it if one was your primary character while the other is more of a supporting character.

I'm still interested I'm trying to determine whether or not to use Remus or create a more magically adept character... I apologize for my uncertainties.

Edit: On the note of having two characters, I'm going to make another character who is the support if that's ok.
