But I totally agree letting things develop during the RP, its way more interesting! Nah, feel free to go mental on your character sheet templates :)

The Nintendo DS has region lock?! Thats new! I know consoles do, or at least I'm certain of that. I don't get region lock... Why bother with it? It seems daft to me >.< Especially since the games are basically the same everyone aside from language.

The region lock only applies to Japanese games - you can't play them on an international DS console. I dunno, I think it has something to do with their laws especially with regards to voice-actors.

EXACTLY MY POINT. It really irks me having to read a huge block of multicolored text which only makes me want to gouge out the eyes...of that person who wrote such shit.

If I get super into it, and don't get bogged down by work, I will pretty much reply as and when I can XD But work sucks ^^ Seriously though, I dont mind how long it takes for someone to reply, so long as they do :) Take your time, it's a hobby :)

When I say Japanese games I mean the original version completely in Japanese dub and sub for sale within Japan only, not the localized version they release for international market.
My gaming friend did test this out and it really didn't work, yeah.

Ooooohhh, I'm an idiot.... Is it true there's a small amount of censoring when changing a game to fit within another country's laws in order to sell there? I know it will be but I can't get my head around it, especially considering how movies and TV shows can get past the censors?

I usually go off word count. It could be a shit ton of one line interactions between characters but hey, it adds up. I always aim to at least mirror the word count or post more, that way I'm challenging myself. Especially when I'm done and I know I could post more but feel lazy, but I'm still 200 words out, I always check and go ahead with what I had wanted to write anyway :)

I think the whole censorship thingy is just one of the weirdest human laws ever created - because honestly speaking most of the time the reasons why they censor certain stuffs make absolutely no logical sense. I get it if it's about age rating to some extent, but those changes due to cultural differences...

I see - I'm more of a quality than quantity person, so I'm not that particular about post length/number of paragraphs as long as I'm given enough info to help me work on my next IC, and my partner takes the initiative to make sure his/her post is easily understood without too many glaring mistakes.

Which is why I absolutely refuse to use my frigging mobile to type out an entire IC.

Seriously, don't worry about it. Id rather know you were okay than ask you to post more regularly. I have partners who it takes sometimes two weeks to get a reply from so I'm patient as hell, don't worry. Get some rest, seriously!

I guess it might be seen as insulting to others. Take for example "No Russian". Yeah that was a pretty horrific scene if you think about it, gunning down an airport of civilians whilst being a terrorist. No wonder that level was censored, especially when you realise that a lot of people gunned down everyone they saw. But most of the time censorship makes no sense! In Until Dawn there's a scene (SPOILER) where two of friends are hog tied against a wall and you have to pick which one you save whilst the other gets sawn in half. In the U.S. and UK version, they kept the sawing, but in others, it's a black scene and all you hear is screaming which makes it worse, you're picturing it.. So it doesn't really make sense, maybe it is for ratings..

Quality is way better over quantity! But I feel it's pushing myself to become a better writer that way.. Who knows, but I agree. I'd rather be readying a reply that clearly took time and was fantastic to read than a difficult to read 4000 words

Some companies try to widen their consumer circle by toying with censorship laws - I mean, some of them aren't even appropriate for teens in the first place, but for the sake of money they just black out those parts to feed such crap to youngsters. And those that deals with cultural differences or even propanganda? Just look at what they did with anime like Pokemon.

If you feel like writing a book for your posts, by all means! I do love rpers who can write long posts, though don't expect me to constantly match that length every single time, especially when writer's block is haunting me.

Anyway, I can totally understand the work part being a 'living hell'. My current part-time job is customer service-related, though I deal with a wider range of customers (people from all over the world). I mostly deal with Japanese because I'm the only staff who can understand the language...

And just take your time. For me, as you can see from my status, post delay from me is in order due to worsening haze condition and I'm falling sick again before I could completely recover. x_x I can't give a definite schedule to when I'll be more active, but I'm hoping the haze issue can be over and done with asap. It's been years and this problem persists annually. It's one of the reasons why I'm moving out of my country after graduation.

Woohoo! Because Indonesia finally let Singapore into their land to fight the forest fires, so for the time being no haze!
(On a side note, I'm high on Final Fantasy lately, so most of my 1x1s are taking backseat these few days. Sorry! DX)
