"Well technically I'm asking you to breakfast. It's not even ten yet." She rummaged briefly through her bag to pull out her wallet to check her cash stash. "Yay or nay?"
Reply to @HeroOfShade Adam sighed and stood . "Why not ? It's better than hanging around here all day and doing nothing . Besides, breakfast sounds good ." He pocketed his money and put his backpack over his shoulder again .
"Cool, cool. We should probably go before someone looks out the window or takes a patrol." She stated, glancing around the campus. "On the bright side we both at least look old enough to buy as graduates."
Zoey shook her hair out of her face as she turned to follow alongside him. "So, any girls in this school worth your emo-time?" she said with a light smirk.
Reply to @HeroOfShade Adam glared at her . "To answer your question, no ." He elbowed her side, slightly harder than intended . "But I'm not the one who's a fucking demon, Scene Queen ."
She chuckled. "Fair, fair. And pretty damn true about that Scene Queen thing." She spared a side glance to catch his glare. "No need to get defensive. It was just a question."
Reply to @HeroOfShade "Heh... I honestly don't want to be associated with any of them," Adam replied, waving carelessly towards the school . "Guess I'm stuck with you ."
Reply to @HeroOfShade Adam nodded once towards Zoey and walked through the door . "Well, I wouldn't call it an honor, but I guess you can ." He looked around the Cafe and spotted a small two-seat table in the back .
Zoey walked over to the chair and dropped her bag next to it, slouching in the seat with her legs crossed. "So, what are we gonna do after coffee and potential sweets?"
"School's only on my agenda when it needs to be." She paused, smirking. "And it never really needs to be." The waitress walked over, blushing lightly and fumbling with the pen. "W-what would you like?"
Reply to @HeroOfShade Adam looked up at the waitress, who appeared to be flustered for some reason . "Uh... I'll just take a Hazelnut Coffee ." He glanced over at the board, where they advertised a special for a baker's dozen of cookies for $1.00 . "I guess some cookies too ."
"I'll take a spiced chocolate latte." Zoey replied readily, as if she was used to ordering that exact thing. "And a slice of devil's food cake." The waitress wrote their orders down, smiling gently at Adam before her cheeks flushed brightly again, causing her to rush back to the kitchen. "She was interesting, no?" Zoey asked, studying the kitchen entrance as the door swung on its hinge.
