It is the year 2843.
Centuries ago, we nearly destroyed ourselves. World War III left us in ruins. Almost all of Earth's governments had been annihilated. The survivors left to rebuild, but we were still at each other's throats. However, we realised we could not start anew until we learned to work with one another. Slowly, we began to rebuild, and though it took decades to rebuild the Earth, we were determined. We soon left our planet and colonised the others.
Now, Humanity is thriving. We have colonised thousands of planets are are all united under a single banner, the United Earth Government. Humanity has travelled through the stars for centuries, and built huge fleets of warships to combat terrorist threats. And yet, we still have yet to meet a sentient alien race. A year ago, a as of yet undiscovered planet located at the far end of the Theta Agape System began emitting strange energy readings. Scientists were baffled by this. After a series of tests, an answer finally came to light.
It was one of the richest duranium deposits ever found.
A small scout ship known as the United Earth Government Naval Command Ship (UEGNC) Finders Keepers was sent to the planet to gather information. We lost contact with it soon after it entered the planet's atmosphere. No further contact was received for a few days, until a cryptic message was transmitted.
"You are not welcome here. Your foul magic will fail soon enough."
The UEGNC scrambled a small fleet of warships to the planet, now designated Bedauerlich to search for the ship. However, they were soon attacked by what looked like ancient Zeppelins. They appeared to shoot at the ships with strange energy weapons. The UEGNC fleet retaliated, but were soon attacked by what appeared to be a dragon. They were forced to retreat after one of the smaller UEGNC ships was torn in half by it. As the ships retreated back to space, one of the ships' cameras took a shot of the beings on one of the airships, and was met with shocking results.
They were humans.
The UEGNC immediately sent a diplomatic ship to Bedauerlich in order to negotiate. It was immediately shot down upon entering the planet's atmosphere. After this, the UEGNC sent a task force of ships to threaten the locals. They were met with extreme force. Now at full out war with the locals calling themselves the 'Kingdom of Ixia', we will take that planet, no matter the cost.

They came in their war machines. They thought they could defeat us. Their energy weapons were no match for our magic. They will fall.
Pick your side. The technologically advanced machine and might of the UEG, or the magic infused steampunk users of the Kingdom of Ixia.
In short, this is a roleplay about the futuristic, technologically advanced UEG or the magic using Kingdom of Ixia.
