This role play is for mature writers and characters only. Swearing, racism, sexism, violence, prejudice etc. it is all accepted. The theme is dark and dangerous, and I want the characters to be able to fit into the scenario. I’ve got the idea for this from watching some films, and reading books and an advert for a TV show. So yeah, hopefully I can get some interest in this.
War, it happened. The world has been ravaged by technology, science and Mans greed. Mass consumerism, religious extremists, terrorists and human’s destruction of the world lead to nuclear war, and the technology that men relied on so much turned on them, and failed, destroying itself leaving men in an almost medieval state of existence. Unable to adapt and cope, within one hundred years, earth was clear of almost all human life force. Here and there a few groups of people learned to survive, but in the year 2200, life is pretty much dead.
Back in the year 2090, a man by the name of Herrity Apox created a space centre that was to be used for the soul purpose of housing criminals. A controversial matter, it was only used for 10 years, before criminals were dealt with back on Earth. In those ten years, over one hundred hardened criminals were locked in the Centre, locked in a state of frozen time and in complete isolation, awaiting their trials back on earth. They have no idea of the year, of what has happened. They have been locked in a sleep for over one hundred years, forgotten about. But the power fails, and the Apox centre is sent crashing to earth. Some criminals perish in the crash, but some survive. And this is where our story begins.

So basically, our characters will be hardened criminals that survive the crash of the prison. The plan is for them to come across a crumbling military base and find out all about what has happened. So it is a quest for survival on a planet with feral wild life, hostile environments and survivors who take down any one they do not know. It’s a dystopian world, and our criminals have to find a way to survive. They need to have been locked up in somewhere between 2090 and 2100. They've been in a frozen state for one hundred years.

Your crime has to have been very severe to be sent to the Apox, so no petty criminals please. My female is going to be a murderer, but for her it was revenge killing. So you can have a reason behind your characters crime, have them unfairly tried etc. Perhaps they were unaware people were inside when they set of a bomb? Maybe a political activist who was tried as a terrorist? A leader of a notorious gang? Ring leader of an international weapons smuggling group? But yes, has to be something severe as they’re lifers. Also, we need badass characters in this; they need to be able to survive. Minimum age is 18, but again I would like to keep them varied.

#1 Nothing anime, emo, scene, cartoon or outrageous. As a visual of your character, only life photography is accepted. If you do not use a picture than a full description will be needed.
#2 Make your characters and their crimes realistic please.
#3 Advanced. This is an advanced role so please keep in mind the advanced requirements. Detailed posts with plenty of content, how does your character feel at that moment? How do they react to a certain situation? Why do they feel that way?
#4 Third person narratives only, I know this may seem like an odd rule but some people feel the need to post in first person and it irks me. Past tense also!
#5 I do not expect anyone to post everyday so don’t worry. I have a young son and so there are times I won’t be able to get on here. I think so long as we all post around twice a week though it will keep things moving nicely, and we all keep in communication through the OOC.
#6 No immature writers or characters please! Immaturity gets my back up and makes for a very dislikeable character. By all means make your character naïve, but I do not want to read the words “Stubborn but sweet but feisty” in one personality description.
#7 Violence is going to happen. Swearing is going to happen. Sexism is going to happen. Fighting is going to happen. This isn't going to be a pleasant happy-happy story.
#8 No character is invincible! If you get shot in the head, you’re going to die. If someone punches you in the face, you’re going to get hurt. I fully intend to throw in some challenges and violence from strangers, so be prepared.
