... because Hibiki just asked the GM's character a question. Thus getting involved in at least another five characters.

I'm unsure if I should make a second character, I kind of want to play a villain. I'm used to playing the Hero in RPs but when I write for fun I usually write both the Hero and the Villain. Besides, the other side of town looks interesting and I think I might have just the guy.

And this is I why I refuse to spam mentions every time I post. Because, hopefully, people will then read it to check whether it involves them or not.

Also because if a scene has half a dozen characters you shouldn't need to find everyone's exact username just to finish the damn post.

I don't know about you all, but I read everyone's posts unless I accidentally miss one. I had thought such practices were commonplace in Casual section?

Hate to be nitpicky, but we do cover the entire fight, meaning that 072 would be able to witness it in its entirety (including ki, lightning-fast strikes, teleporting, and ice powers) and be able to comment on it. Were you planning to do so in another post?

Also, just in general I'd be interested to know what you people think of the fight. Structure, flow, so forth.

TL;DR

No one has entirely answered my question, but yes I did note to myself that a fight was going on. So I made him go into a calmer environment at the very least, or so I thought...

Well, we did not expect two other people to actually show up and watch the fight! Even Clementine was given a signal to run away because things were about to go down. It was also better than the alternative of having like half a dozen short posts. I also informed Grey Star that we were making a collab post.

Is the essence of your reply that laziness is justified if effort is involved and a person only ought to be concerned with something if it involves their character? Well, I guess I can't get very upset about that. We're more having fun than we are trying to make an actual story. It does take some of the fun out of it when only a few people will ever read something a person's taken time to create though, eh?

Well, no, it's less that and it more that it can be frustrating to see this enormous post suddenly appear with no real ability for anyone to participate in what happened. Going off of experience it can also be a bit difficult to read at times.

I've seen people do this in the middle of a scene with other people, as well. You didn't do that(though I'm of the opinion you could have waited for @Azakma to clarify Clementine had run off or something, and you did kind of assume she would immediately) but it still means it cuts out the possibility of other people at least watching the fight or something, as you absolutely can have the actual fight without interruption if you want to when it's like this.

I wish Rain could have been more tactful about it, but I'm also not the biggest fan of collaborative posts and it's absolutely not out of laziness or anything like that.

That being said, I admit to skimming posts or even skipping over them if they're not related to my characters. Not out of laziness, and more because I want to keep track of what's happening strictly in posts relating to my characters so I can make my own post. I'll usually read them in more depth after I've made my own post unless other circumstances are at work.

So should I be changing my post to be elsewhere or what's the deal in this instance?

You're fine, there's just other people in the scene, not only Hibiki. Just be sure to read the posts involved in that scene and make edits if you need to.
