Matt kicked the door open jauntily, tossing his cigarette on the carpet and crushing it under his heel. New arrivals to the Reformatory were always fun to mess with - thrust into a new environment, surrounded by people who'd done far worse than steal a couple chocolate bars. This was Mat's third year in the school, and by now he'd gained quite the reputation. Everybody knew that once his devil-may-care attitude slipped, it was high time to back off.
He looked around the lobby, and his eyes landed on the new students. He crossed the room to where the group was huddling together (except for a few stragglers that he could pick off later). Then he cleared his throat to make sure all eyes were on him.
"Welcome to Hell, population five hundred and seventy two. As far as you sorry lot are concerned, I'm the devil incarnate, and if I catch any of you saying otherwise... Well, no one will find the body." He said all of this with the darkest smile that'd ever been seen and a slight, half bow.
