October stepped back, momentarily stunned by the impact of the door in her face. After a moment's pause, she opened the door. "Come on, just talk to me. No harm will be done, eh?"
October followed Matt, jogging up behind him. "Hey," she said, smiling slightly and tugging his sleeve. "Where are you going? We should talk."
October gave up and sat back down. There was no stopping them, apparently. She wanted to talk to Matt later, though. Obviously, he was an asshole, but October thought people were intriguing, and Matt certainly seemed like he would have a good story to tell.
October put her notebook down. She hated fights, and she wanted to try to stop it. She knew it was stupid; both of the guys were much bigger than her.
"Don't fight, guys, really." October got in between the two guys, staring at them both alternately. "Be a little more mature than that."
October looked at the guy, who she thought was obviously putting on an act, and frowned. She hated people like that, always trying to put on a show. Shrugging the incident off, October took out a notebook and a pencil and started to draw. October was an artist, sort of.
October walked through the doors of The Reformatory, her new school. It was her first day. The Reformatory was a school for teenagers who had been caught committing crimes. Instead of being sent to jail, they were sent to reform school. The Reformatory had a bad reputation; murders, robberies, and other crimes were constantly occurring.

Finding an empty bench in the lobby, October sat down as she waited for someone to tell her what to do. She was too scared to approach anyone.
