I think that gods with a lower case g are from cultures that mostly don't care if we emulate them in role play.

I'm Hindu.

If we're going to talk being offensive, I'm more than a little offended that Kali had sex with Cthulu and got killed.

I'm trying to grin and bear it because I don't want to ruin everyone's else's fun because of my personal beliefs restricting how everyone else plays.

if it makes you feel any better I can state that Kali didn't actually have sex and more of Cuthulu took some of her hair and created another being of it using his own genes

The, uh, the "Kali dying" thing is sort of the bigger deal. I'd explain, but I doubt anyone here wants to listen to a dry explanation of Hindu practices and the nature of Shakti and stuff.

It's fine. Just leave it the way it is. No hard feelings.

As the person who apped the borderline Mythos cultist I can confirm those are some pretty horrible mental images.
