So, just like the title of this topic says, I'm new on here, and as for the rusty and very nervous part, please hear me out. Basically I used to roleplay quite a bit on a website whose main focus really wasn't roleplaying, and I caught myself thinking about those past experiences a lot lately. The logical course of action was to look for and sign up to a roleplaying website, alas that was impeded by the fear of not being able of writing and creating characters as well as before. But today I decided to-excuse me for the abbreviation- YOLO it and well, here I am.

So, uh, hi?

@PolkaDancer

By following Ruby's example, if you ever need anything, don't be a stranger and send me a message! I'd be happy to talk to someone new and give them the grand tour. My account is a month old but little activity but only because I lost the information to another account I had but at least this one is my real name! How cool, huh? Anyways. You take your time and browse around, you'll never know what kind of good roleplay you'll find to your liking.

TGIF. :)

?

I just took "pirate ninja robot zombie" and cranked it up to 12 with common October thread themes.

>May have mis-used the word 'satire', though.

@WilsonTurner Thank you so much for the help :D (And if I may add my opinions on mecha, they're better when they're part organic, but then again all I know of mechas comes from Power Rangers, so eh.)

@Haeo There's always one thing that struck me as odd with lightsabers that your post made me think of : how does whatever substance that makes up the slicy part in the lightsaber stop and form exactly the shape of a lightsaber? Also, it depends what material the blaster bullets are made up of, and since they look like they might be lighter than an actual bullet it is safe to assume they move faster than one.
@Makky Sure! That sounds like fun and could help me un-rust my rp skills?

It's energy.

Lightsabers are presumably "Hardlight" weapons, in that they form a beam of light in a way that makes them hard. That's probably in the way of a super thin beam that blows really brightly. As to how it's possible- it ain't. It's fiction. I doubt we could EVER create a lightsaber.

And blaster 'bullets' are, again, lasers. It takes an energy source and fires a beam of superheat. Real-life lasers are actually relatively-instantaneous beams of heat. That's all a laser is, and that's why lasers burn.
