@WilsonTurner ah, well what I meant was how it was made. A superpower born in modern times out of revolution isn't unheard of, that's why I brought up the Unification of Germany. Stylistically, it's more like the Roman Empire :D

Also, ignore the size and vastness of the empire - it's mostly an above average in size kingdom. The name Empire is due to the conquest of different ethnic cultures, which was a result of extending their territory :)

If nobody realized, I kinda meant for the Königreich to be up there in terms of industry and all that, whatwith most of the really smart peoples coming from Germany. Oppenheimer, Einstein, etc., you know? They did, after all, take on the entire world, and did a pretty damn good job of it. You can only last so long when you're surrounded on all fronts.

If anybody is wondering Brittania was supposed to be a large military nation with some decent footing in the world. They were also well renowned for unusual and slightly crazy fighting methods that surprisingly always worked (Courtesy of Oly). They were moderately advanced, employing basic and not particularly developed versions of Endlaves from Guilty Crown (if anyone's actually seen that xD). For those that haven't, they are mechanical suits that roam around and follow brain input from a person who is controlling them remotely from a pod in a designated area. Since the link between the machine and user is so great it can easily avoid life threatening situations due to rapid yet simple though process by the user. Along with this the user will feel all damage caused to the machine (sorta like the matrix). So, yeah.

So you have working armored battlesuit that are controlled using neural helmets?

We have trouble making a robot that moves moderately fast on four legs, that's completely dedicated to carrying stuff. I dunno how these comparatively superexpensive things would be an alternative.

Modern combat doesn't need much heavy armor- Main Battle Tanks (MBT) and Infantry Fighting Vehicles (IFV) take care of that, such as the Abrams MBT or Bradley IFV. A squad of Marines also usually carries some kind of AT weapon, such as a SMAW, in case they need to blow something up. A really expensive armor suit would fall quick to a Marine squad, and the Marines would be much easier to train and arm.

This is NOT a war like RP. Yes, your Kingdoms/Empires have armies, but that is back at home in your countries in which you have all left yo come to Aciras.

Regardless, Dee's Kingdom is the most technologically advanced. She called it, I agreed. End of discussion.

@WilsonTurner That is true, but consider the fact that Brittania is a surprisingly wealthy country. The queen literally GIVES whole districts to poor people for free. That and the fact that an army of suits controlled by specially trained military personal with reaction times approaching precognition, I don't exactly think a squad of marines can deal with a robotic suit that doesn't require human life to be wasted. That and they can be mass produced with the only effort coming from the weapons and electronics. A squad of 20 could easily wipe out a squad of 60-70 men if they are piloted by even 2nd ranked pilots. Remember that the technology would also likely be already publicly available, so Brittania would be hard at work creating a newer version, since the current is only the 1st generation.

Since Dee's kingdom is the most technologically advanced I can always change it if it's too OP, but being a close second/third would definitely have some powerful tech. Since nukes would be outright banned in pretty much everywhere, the only choice is to develop powerful war weapons that don't require soldiers to be out on the fields fighting, even if we still do that. Because they can only produce so many the army is still being developed, with the King on the front lines during most battles. We aren't a Jack of all Trades nation for nothing :3

EDit: I just read Haleys post. Thats a thing. We aren't warring, but it is nice to know who you can rely and what the relations between military nations might be.

The point is, if you all wish, you can go ahead and make it to where all the characters know this in the deepest little darkest corners of their brains. For example, I do believe that the kings know which Kingdoms could turn theres to smithereens, no?

Wait. I thought we were kinda basing this on modern tech. I kinda imagined Xaecia to have all the modern technology we have now but constantly upgrading. Right now, though, I don't think their battlesuits are kinda possible. Maybe not yet.

But yeah. Probably the closest Xaecia is working on for future tech would be like idk flying cars ala Back to the future? :p

I was thinking of maybe having Oly get ill again, and then have her parents not be able to get back to Brittania. It would be later on in the story so things have time to progress. Just wanted to see if there any objections to having a little something to spice things up further down the line :3
