I'm thinking I'll be playing a small nation, just having gone through a populist rebellion which ended in moderate terms. The initial idea was to play a shitty nation that stays relevant because they accidentally learned the lessons of Clausewitz, but if we're playing fast and loose with military thought then it might not work very well.

After thinkinga bit more on my nation, I'm thinking of being a Germany with subtle Russian & Polish hints and more prominent traces of Swiss who are almost dwarves with mountain keeps and a penchant for being relatively neutral and being hired as mercs for other nations as long as the employer doesn't try and fight their homeland.

Also calling it Ostivenberg.

My nation would be kind of like a medieval Italy which never fell out from its position.
It'd be a well-developed but small nation centered on commerce and trading but also known for their smiths and other worksmen.
I would be a somewhat relevant power yet certainly not among the top.

You haven't seen me enough, then.
Before the elves I had 3-4 civilizations with dwarves and then I had several human civs in various ages, not even counting sci-fi.
I will be basically adopting some concepts from my Super Hungarian faction from a different RP, combine it with Italy and Portugal and then see the results.

Well Considering that happened in real life multiple times (Republic of Amalfi and Republic of Venice are examples) I'd be fine with it.
