The gods, even in classic mythology, were known to change their faces all the time. Adding a face claim makes them less godly. Plus every kid here probably had a different interpretation of their parent. Zaheen for instance had a Pakistani Hephaestus while Laurel's was probably white. Part of the mystique of the gods is how abstract they are, and there's a reason everyone has such a different interpretation of them. Adding any sort of "standardized" interpretation takes away all that makes them great.

Cause, to put it simply, they're gods not people, they don't need a specific face claim. Their image is in the eye of the beholder.

As for face-claims, perhaps the God/Goddess has one preferred image that they use pretty much all the time, and just alters it in order to do some frick-frack with mortals. Or non-mortals, depending on which myth you're looking at.

Either way, I'm sure they settled on a final image - for example, Hermes is nearly always portrayed as a young man; Hephaestus is always portrayed as a disfigured dude, and Zeus always has his rockin' beard.

So, I like the idea of having F/C for their everyday image - at the very least it gives us an idea of what they may look like.
Obviously, if people share a Godly parent, you'll have to debate over it, but I highly doubt it'll cause many issues.

Oh, also, a question for our GMs.

XxLyraxX has been offline for over a month now - and has been absent from this roleplay for even longer. Would you be able to reopen the second co-GM spot and re-open the Son of Poseidon spot too? I don't they're coming back... :(

I missed Skye...phew...I am glad I passed that test, I only had a little bit to go off from his previous posts/interactions with Clarissa, so I was hoping I did him some justice.

I don't think it's that hard to get Skye's mannerisms down. He's pretty much a male version of Aphrodite, so I think you had a good amount of knowledge since, early on, Clarissa was like that. Still, with little what you were given, I do think you pulled it off brilliantly. :)

I kind of feel bad that I couldn't open everyone up for at least one post. I do some NPC posts so everyone can be involved in some way, shape, or form. I know it'll probably slow the time I intended to post at, but I think it'll be worth it once everyone gets involved. :)

I gather Skye/Stella will still be NPC's? or is someone taking them over as official characters?

• Having them become on-screen NPCs and the slots becoming vacant for new(or old people) to snag those spots
• Giving control of them to the players whose characters are their siblings(so you, and @karamonnom)
• Writing them out with some kind of big - and tragic - event near the end of the Kidnapping Arc.
