In tales told long, long ago....
A human discovers the Fairoth Realm and falls in love with a fairy. But evil is done, and the human curses the fairy's blood line to be killed after one year born by contract of a demon. The Fairoth Realm is also cursed and turned into eternal night, with nothing but the moon as light and occassional wraiths or flame of candlelight. The tale ends by humans calling the land Shadow Realm and is nothing but a fairytale.
Not known to humans, however, the fairy has have found a way to survive. The queen will toss her heirs into the portal, so that it may live a human life and someday find their way back home. No body knows of this however, and the heirs live 'normal' lives filled with a tinge of hate they cannot describe where it comes from. And visions of the Queen.
Now...
The story begins in the 1930s in USA, a quiet sparse town by the mountains and by acres of wood, where our players will meet. In the forest is the portal to the fairy realm. Humans have said strange things happen in this forest, or people die strange deaths.
You will play either a human who stumbles into the Shadow Realm, or play an heir of the royal fairy blood line that is cursed. Or you are a character that is stuck in the middle somewhere, or is neutral and has their own agenda (as long as it fits into the story).
