(copied from the interest check since I don't know what else to use. The application template is a slightly edited version of nitemare shape's one from his Create A Hero RPG. Thanks for giving me permission, man. ^^ Also, a few rules.

1:No spamming or double posting

2:No godmodding or op characters. Give them weaknesses and make them at least a bit vulnerable.

3:No killing NPCS without reason. No killing players characters without reason or permission. If you're a villain you can kill, but not randomly unless it's part of your character's motivations or traits.

4:You are allowed to base your character on an existing comic, film, TV or book character, but make sure to give him a unique personality, name and look. Also, you can use said characters as a faceclaim for your own, but try to give him a unique set of powers and traits. Alternatively, you can create your own look for your character(s).

5:Everyone gets a max total of 3 characters peruser. Please make sure that at least one of them is a villain.

5: Since the story is set in 1942, no lingo or anything else beyond that era for your character, including tech outside of a science fiction sense please. (Anyone who has a character who comes from the future need not follow this rule unless they want to.)

6: This is based in the golden age so if you want to deal with any of the more "heavy" issues of the time, feel free to go ahead. Peodophila however is strictly prohibited. Profanity is permitted, but please try to tone it down.

7:Exhibit your character's traits and personality in all of your IC posts.

8:Complexity is a-ok, but try to have your characters personality and actions make sense in regards to each other. Also, make those personalities and traits interesting for other players.

9:You can travel to other places via vehicle, flight, super speed, etc, but only mystic, magical and alien based characters can have teleportation abilities. Can't give that power out to just anyone I'm afraid. Please keep in mind that most of the action is either in North America or War Torn Europe.

10:Interact with other characters in your posts if there's one yoou care to interact with. In which case feel free to talk amongst yourselves over what you'd like to do and we'll see if it's allowed.

11: Gods and Deities are not permitted. Worshippers, heralds, children and champions of said deities ARE allowed. But once again, please refer to rule 2.

12: You can chose whatever Character Archetype you'd like, but make sure it fits into the setting and time period.

13:Be considerate and respectful to other players as well as the Game Master(s). No arguing with one another. This is meant to be fun so lets try and keep it that way. Please?

14:Everyone is entitled to use a character banner or a picture of their character as a head, provided it isn't too big.

15:No one liners. Detailed posts with a minimum of 1'000 words per post, thanks.

16:Before starting any sort of game wide event, consult with the Game Master(s) first. Don't want any story contradictions.

17:No reality warping or cartoon physics based powers except on a minor scale.

18:Give constructive criticism to another persons post, but don't be rude or offensive.

19:The Game Master(s) has(ve) the final say in terms of character acceptance.

20:No off world travel unless your character is of alien or mystic origin.

21:Anyone caught breaking these rules will be warned and if the offences continue, booted.

"The world has always had superhuman and heroic beings. Working behind the scenes to either benefit or enslave and destroy mankind. Some in history have gone on to become legends, but it was only during the years before the second world war when things started picking up for the Super Humans. The fact is that most of them are results of a dormant gene that either activates at or sometime before puberty or by accident or deliberation. Others who lack the genetic structure of their scientific counterparts have supernatural or magical origins to their abilities and others who have neither of these things, make do with what items manpower and tech they can lay their hands on. The rest are either beings from another world or from realms thought to be merely legends. The world was a dark place in the 1930s before the heroes first became public knowledge. In the United States the great depression had caused illegal activity amongst gangs and petty crooks to sky rocket. mothers in many American towns and cites were afraid of taking their children to school in the morning, out of fear of them getting shot up in a gang fight or drive by shooting. Crime was rising on what seemed to be an almost daily basis. Needless to say that all changed in 1938 when the first ever costumed heroes came into the limelight. These men were armed with simple fighting skills and simple, yet interesting weapons. Before long however, more powerful and colourful heroes began to leap, fly, run, etc out of the shadows and into headlines and the hearts of the American people. Many wore bright and gaudy costumes, some wore capes, many wore masks while others didn't. But each one had the same goal at heart. To keep America safe. It seemed that every 2 weeks or so, 5 or more costumed adventurers were making their spectacular débuts. Every one of them with a unique look and even more unique powers. No one knew who would be appearing next or what abilities they might have.

With the rise of these more...noble men and women came, unfortunately, the openness of their more evil counterparts. Be they home grown, from foreign lands, (particularly Europe at the time) or even from outer space, be they powered or non powered, These ''Villains'' spread evil and invited mayhem and fear throughout the country and the world for many different reasons. And there, as always, were the heroes. Ready to take them on and defend their homeland for the greater good. And every time they were defeated the bitterness within them grew stronger, inspiring more menacing and sordid acts of evil which in turn would also be put to an end and so forth.

Then, the Japanese attacked Pearl Harbour. Then, America found that the war they had tried so hard to stay out of was on their doorstep. Then, the rules changed.

January 3rd, 1942. Over 4 years since the costumed heroes first appeared. And now, America is at war with the Axis nations. Patriotism is on the rise, yet so is racism and prejudice. War bonds and taxes are in fashion, pro american movies, songs and radio shows flood the media and thousands of Japanese Americans are being forced to leave their homes for government internment camps. It's a mixed up time. A combination of darkness and light, with the capes and costumes stuck slap dab in the middle. Some have retired their persona's to serve in the war effort. Others have actually taken theirs into army and government service and many more new faces are rising out of the shadow of war, to do what they can on the home front. Despite this, many of the originals are still working alongside these fresh faces, doing whatever they can to combat the usual threats. And the villains? Well, some continue in their old ways. Some have outright betrayed their own country to work for the Fuhrer. And so the rest of the world watches on. fearful on the inside, but never daring to show it, as The Greatest Generation fights on. The only question now is, where do you stand?"

So yeah, in case you were wondering by this lengthy introduction, this is a superhero RPG in the same vein as current games such as nitemare shape's Create-A-Hero RPG and Maximum Comics: Dawn of Justice by Gowi. Like CAH RPG it's an original hero game and like MC: DOJ it's a period piece. In it, you can create your own hero and base them either off existing images or make your own look for them, with whatever power sets you wish (no godmodding/OPing though). The year, as stated is 1942, in January. America has just entered the war and many costumed heroes, colourful and dark alike, are having to chose sides while trying to balance their own ideals. America is in the best state it's been in since before the depression, but there are less glamorous sides of the war effort such as the aforementioned blind prejudice and racism against the Japanese/racial minorities and the internment of Japanese-Americans during that time. In this RPG between doing the usual crime/axis bashing, we'll also be developing characters, having fun and interesting moments, building relationships and exploring the positive and negative sides of wartime Americana. You can chose any number of archetypes, (as long as they fit the period of course) have your own graphics if you want and if this thing gets going, we'll try to have events based on what the players want to see from one, trying to accommodate everyone while doing so. (maybe your character could be in the HUAC trials someday. ;) ) Anyway, feel free to tell me what you think and lets see if this works. If there are any additional details you'd like to discuss, feel free to bring them up. Thank you for reading. ^^

(there are many other tags i wanted to add such as Small Group, Fantasy, Romance and Military since I want to cover all those other things, but since i can only have five tags I'll just say that those things are part of the game regardless. :) )

Real Name: Ernst Nagelein

Alias: The Ubermensch

Speech Color: Number 8439ca

Character Alignment: Villain

Identity: Known

Character Personality: Ernst is loyal to the Nazi regime fully and entirely, he is kind and caring to his countrymen, but rude and demeaning to anyone else. He is a family man, and cares deeply about his wife and two children. He is a trained soldier who fights fearlessly, his smarts leading to him saving his squad's lives multiple times, tales of his bravery and intelligence leading to his becoming the Ubermensch. He is however insecure about his own abilities, and thinks that other soldiers are much better warriors than him. He dislikes spiders and is prone to extreme bouts of fear upon seeing large dogs. Due to his family and upbringing, Ernst is entitled and greedy, but he gives to charity to keep up his image. Despite all of his flaws, Ernst is trusted upon to get the job done, no questions asked.

Character Age/Birthday: Twenty seven, born October 14th.

Uniform/costume:

Origin Info/Details: Born to a rich family, Ernst was educated to inherit his father's fortune. Ernst's father was a coward who escaped world war one via his money and connections. After being taught in Germany's best schools, Ernst became a smart child, often bullied due to his short stature. Due to his studies, he found his own blood type without the aid of anyone else, discovered his resistance to alcohol without drinking a drop, and managed to maximize the amount of mass in muscle gained during a training session, leading to his becoming incredibly strong, he also learned multiple foreign languages, though he suffered a severe chemical burn during his experiments that severely damaged one of his hands. Due to this, Ernst was teased as well, eventually getting into fights, leading to his expulsion from every school that would accept him. Ernst's father became more and more paranoid as he aged, leading to his belief that Ernst's expulsion was the first stage of an American plot to take his fortune, going raving mad, and burning to death in his son's laboratory. With his father taken from him, and his home lost, Ernst turned to his mother for comfort. Ernst believes that the only reason he didn't go as mad as his father was due to his mother's intervention. Eventually, Ernst built a new home with his father's money, married an Austrian girl, and had two children. With the outbreak of Nazism, Ernst was all for a change, the great depression was bad for the many businesses he owned, and Hitler's plans were to fix it and make Germany frightening again. Due to the outbreak of world war two, Ernst was drafted, serving in the invasions of Poland and France with great distinction. Eventually a new program was created to make the perfect German soldier, and Ernst was chosen. After leaving the program, Ernst was changed, due to the experimentation, Ernst was able to unlock untapped portions of the human brain, becoming even smarter, and now with the ability to move objects with his mind. Compounded with his already huge physical strength, Ernst became a force to be reckoned with, able to react to opponents faster than they could move by focusing on the tensing of their muscles, a fist fight with him became suicide, fighting at range also proved difficult, with his ability to throw objects through the air leaving the opponent at no advantage. However, his burn became a problem, as chemical experimentation upon him made it even more vulnerable, forcing him to wear a metal gauntlet under his glove, compromising digital maneuverability. Fighting as the right fist of the Reich, Ernst is a threat comparable to a hungry, angry bear in the mating season... which can throw things with it's mind.

Hero Type: Psychic

Power Level: City level

Powers: Single target telekinesis (Multi target if threshold is crossed, however it would leave him incredibly tired), heightened reaction time, and increased brain capacity (Allowing him to think twice as fast as normal humans)

Attributes:

Strength Level: Normal Human (Above average)

Speed/Reaction Timing Level: 100+ MPH.

Endurance at MAXIMUM Effort: Normal Human.

Agility: Normal Human

Intelligence: Super-Genius

Fighting Skill: Trained

Resources: Large

Weaknesses: His right hand, which is severely burned, if touched, it causes him severe pain. He is inexperienced with his powers, and they can leave him drained if overused. He can underestimate opponents, and has a habit of underestimating himself, leading to him not fighting at full potential.

Supporting Characters: Ernst's wife, Franziska Nagelein, and his sons, Charles and Heinrich Nagelein.

"Seeing as you're not in the mood to talk, I'll force the words out of you." Ernst hissed, his voice cool and calm, he grabbed a cigar out of another interrogator's mouth and put it out in the American's eye, it hissed as the man's eye was blinded. "ARRGH!" The man wrestled against the chair which he was tied to, lifting it off of the ground a few times and creating quite a racket. Ernst smiled behind his gas mask, ahh, the schadenfreude. Ernst held out his left hand while still maintaining eye contact on the struggling and crying man. Placed in his hand was a long piece of rusted metal, thinner at the ends than in the middle, he believed that the British called this a "Crowbar", whatever it was, it was good for swinging. The man's cries stopped, replaced with the sound of metal striking bone. Up over his shoulder and back down it came, again and again and again.

The American looked up at him, his young eyes filled with fear and resentment, he lurched over and spat out a tooth along with a bucketful of blood. "All you got?" The man's voice was like a sob as it escaped his mouth, he was trying to look tough, but it was failing. The aged leather straps on the man's wrists and ankles opened one at a time, he fell to the ground on hands and knees, coughing up blood and teeth. Ernst crouched, to the point where he was looking into the man's eyes while still being on his feet. "Why do you fight me? You're too young to be a martyr, boy. Tell me the Allies' strategy..." Ernst coolly and slowly brought his hand to his hip, drawing a pistol and placing it under the boy's chin tenderly. "We've got many more of you waiting, save your friend's lives and your own by telling me what I want." He overenunciated the Ts and Ms in his sentence as his patience began to run out. "Go ahead, make my son an orphan, my wife a widow, you wouldn't even dare to kill m-" The gunshot echoed around the small room. The boy died instantly, the bullet entered through his chin, went through his mouth, and smashed through the skull, destroying the brain.

The man's head fell limp, and he slapped into the ground. The amount of blood that left every orifice in the man's face could have filled a pool, instead soaking the ground around Ernst's boots, he allowed his gun hand to fall limp, entering the blood released by the man's face, and skimming across the wet ground. Ernst stared at the man's corpse for a few seconds, his blue eye still, and the other closed eyelid bleeding moreso than any other part of his face, caking one half of his young face in blood. Ernst shook his head, he felt horrible every time it came to this, he wished it didn't have to end like that, Americans are foolish. Ernst stood up slowly, he still stared at the body. Eventually, he lifted his gun hand and fired a few rounds into the man's back just in case, blood soaking the man's green fatigues.

Ernst turned to the two other interrogators "Zuordnung fertig." They moved to each side of the door and looked at the ceiling, straight as pencils. Ernst left through the tent flap into the rain. Sloshing through the mud, Ernst walked towards the east perimeter of the camp, meeting many soldiers, who all clapped their heels together and saluted, Ernst made an effort to salute back, but couldn't do it to everyone. The medical tent was wrought with screams when Ernst walked by, poor souls, most dying of some unknown disease, and others dying from the shoddy amputations of their once strong limbs, sapped by disease and injury. Eventually Ernst reached the tent he was looking for, the second interrogation tent, they were spread out to prevent the enemy from escaping and breaking their friends out. Entering through the flap, Ernst came face to face with a bearded man with dirty matted hair and a black eye. "Hello sunshine, hope you've found the accommodations to your liking. Allow me to give you your continental."

Posted my App in the Characters section, let me know what you think.
Also, is this war going to go differently? Or are the Germans still going to lose, or at least lose the same way? Could the Americans take Berlin? Could D-Day fail and the Russians take all of Europe?

I think it's basically our war, but with a sci-fi twist. Many elements of the real life war will be kept, but with a science fiction twist. So Hitler could die either way. I'm looking for a happy ending with this one though, with a few close calls. Consider yourself approved.

Do note that my character is Soviet. Just thought I'd let you know, I'm fine with you also having a Russian character.

Oh, that's pretty cool having our characters be from the same place. Common ground and all that. Had to look to make sure there weren't too many similarities in my character, but I feel they're pretty different in every other way. ^^
