"Ah. well, that's unfortunate. I'm sure you'll happen on something," Sunder consoled her, "Well, i guess it's back to the mine for me; standing here talking t oyou, I'm probably scaring away all the game." Sunder hoisted his pickaxe over his shoulder and headed back to the path.

Eline nodded and continued hunyong again, looking for fresh footprints. Perhaps she could find something, even though their voices had probably scared the nearby animals away.

Meanwhile, Ilithor had headed to Jeel's home and knocked on the door. Maybe dhr could help him get a net.

Jeel was sitting outside her house on a rocking chair that was obviously of dwarvish make, carding wool. Behind the house, a sizable plot of land could be seen that included crops, pastures, and a barn. "Welcome," Jeel said upon seeing Illithor, "did you need something?"

Ilithor looked at Heel and nodded. "Yeah, I was hoping that you could help me to make a fishing net." He said, hoping that she could help him out.

"A fishing net? Sure thing," Jeel put her wool down and got up, poking her head inside her house and called for Lannis. Lannis arrived and the two discussed their supply of hemp. Jeel turned to Illithor, "We probably don't have enough dried hemp for a full net, but I can get started at least, while Lannis will see to harvesting some more and drying it." She then asked Illithor for specifics, such as the total size of the net and how small the holes should be, as well as any other details such as the attachment of weights and hoisting lines.

Reas arrived at Elliot's house and knocked on his door.

Ilithor told Jeel the specifications of the fishing net. It shouldn't be a big problem that they couldn't make a full fishing net, as long as it worked and he could catch some fish with it. "Can I help?" He asked, figuring he might as well do something useful.

Elliot opened the door and greeted Reas with a smile. "Hey Reas. Can I do something for you?"

"As long as you know how to braid hemp, I don't see why not," Jeel said, "Just let me start on one end, and when it's long enough I'll give you the other end." She got to work twisting and pulling the fibers.

Reas looked up at Elliot, "The new merchant came with a list of orders from the nearest town. There's some demand for your work." Ze handed him a paper that was transcribed by Emtardas detailing ironwork requests.

"Sure " Ilithor said, waiting patiently for Jeel to give him an end of the hemp. If he could help, he would gladly do so.

Elliot looked at the list and nodded. Making those things should be no problem. "Alright, I'll take care of it. When does it have to be done?" He asked Reas.

Jeel worked quickly and soon handed one end for Illithor to continue. "So," Jeel started, "your son having a hard time adjusting?" She meant his relationship with Talila; she could see the strain that existed between Ryul and her.

"Before Ryul's next visit," Reas replied.

Ilithor nodded. "You could say that. I think he isn't over the death of his mother just yet." He said while braiding the hemp.

Ilithor nodded. "Alright, I'll make sure it gets done." He said, before noticing a person in the distance and quickly coming to the conclusion that it couldn't be Eline, seeing how she had left to hunt not too long ago and was usually away for longer.

Freya walked around in the forest and noticed a small house. Great, a sign if civilisation. If she was close to a town, than she could at least sleep in a bed again for once.

"I see," Jeel said sympathetically without being patronizing, "Well, he's old enough to take care of himself and make his own way in the world."

Reas saw Elliot looking away and followed his line of sight until ze too saw the approaching person. Not recognizing her, Reas asked, "a bandit?"

Ilithor nodded. "Yeah. Still, I just wish that he would give Talila a chance. I mean, I know she's not his mother, but she's not as bad as he probably thinks." He said, continuing to work on the net.

"Let's hope not." Elliot said. Bandits never meant good news, he knew that much, and Soren was meant for people who wanted to live a peaceful life. Nobody wanted a criminal around here.

Freya soon noticed the two standing at the house while she was getting closer, putting a hand on one of her daggers. Of course she meant no harm, she just wanted a place to rest. But if needed, she wouldn't hesitate to protect herself.

"Everyone mourns differently. I'm sure he'll come around, in time," Jeel replied, finding almost ironic that she was telling an elf about patience. "Just give him the space he needs."

"It appears she's armed," Reas pointed out, noticing Freya's hand go to what appeared to be the hilt of some weapon. Ze said this almost nonchalantly, being a homonculus, Reas had strength far greater than zir size would otherwise suggest. Still, Emtardas had told Reas repeatedly that ze was not to use zir strength under normal conditions; he wanted Reas to live a normal life.

Ilithor nodded. "Yes, I suppose so." He said, continuing to work on the net. At least he had something to do now, which he could only consider to be a good thing.

Elliot nodded, noticing it as soon as Reas pointed it out. He preferred not to fight, but that didn't mean that he wouldn't do so if it was needed.

As soon as Freya was close to Reas and Elliot, she looked at the two of them. "Do not worry, I have no intention of harming you." She said, although her hand was still resting on her dagger.

Lannis came back with a basket of hemp. "Ah, good," Jeel said, "Pull up a seat and help us."

"Yes mom," Lannis said and started adding extra cross strands.

"Who are you and where did you come from?" Reas asked.

Ilithor looked at Lannis and showed her a friendly smile.

"My name is of no importance. As for where I am from, it is far away in the west, though I have been travelling for a long time now. It will take a long while to get there." Freya answered. Being a rogue, Freya preferred to not give her name away so easily. Being secretive that was part of being a rogue.

"State your business," Reas continued to question. Most people came in from the road, so anyone who was wandering through the wildlands raised Reas' suspicions. The fact that Freya did not give her name also didn't help. Reas looked at Elliot, wondering what his reaction to this was.

"I am just looking for a place where I can get a decent rest for the night."

Elliot didn't seem to be very convinced by Freya, but decided to keep his mouth shut, not saying anything for the moment.

"There's an inn in town," Reas informed, "I'll lead you to it. It's just down this forest path." Reas decided that it would be harder for the woman to do anything fishy in town, surrounded by people, than to be here alone with just zirself and Elliot.

Freya followed after Reas. "You do not trust me, do you?" She asked, looking at zir. Freya was no fool, she had met more than enough people to know that most didn't trust her, or felt uncomfortable around her. Perhaps that made sense, though.
