I'm bad at Bios. Also is it just me, or is Marvel better than DC when it comes to character development outside of intense stories?
Name - Light
Alias - Light (Shes not very original.)
Age - 24
Appearance -
A 1.8m tall pure white skinned humanoid with a ball like head with large black and orange eyes, a mouth, short blue hair, fin-like ears, and no nose. She wears a blue and white dress with the front open, a triangle tabard occupying that space. She has longish flowing sleevish arms with 4 spiky fingers, legs that end in a point instead of a foot, and a 'space' looking darkness on the inside of her dress.
Personality - Light has a very outgoing carefree attitude with a poor grasp on consequences or awareness to danger due to her abilities. This often gets her into trouble as shes more prone to joke and make friends with her enemy than fight them, unless they attack her first, plus she has a habit of falling into traps. Don't let this playful nature fool you though, Light is incredibly smart and fairly observant. She can't tolerate anyone who hurts her friends or takes away the freedom of others, and this is a great way to make her angry.
Gear (optional) - None
Power/ability -
Ultimate Regeneration: Light can regenerate from any injury that isn't atomization. This includes supernatural or magical alements like being turned to stone, having her body switched, having her soul ripped out, psionic attacks, ext.. Supernatural afflictions take far longer to regenerate from, and it is random when she'll regenerate from them. She regenerates by "popping" back to normal after a time.
Cartoon Physics: Light has different physics from the rest of the world. A simple way of explaining it is her body looks like its "made of rubber" due to her exaggerated stretchy movements. This also causes her to react differently to injuries and situations, such as severe blunt trauma causing her body to contort into strange shapes, fire or other disintegration like effects often leaving behind her eyeballs before she regenerates, and the like. This also causes weapons she holds to act very differently than normal, often in detrimental ways.
Entropy: Light causes whatever she is touching to lose energy and be unable to gain it as long as she is touching them. The harder she impacts something, the more energy is taken from it while grapples take very little energy. Light gains speed equal to the amount of energy she has absorbed via Entropy. Also works on Magic, but to a much lesser degree.
Super Strength: Light has moderate levels of Super Strength.
Pocket Space: Light can pull various objects from a spot under her dress called Pocket Space. These objects are random and are mostly contextual in nature, and are often very unreliable in a fight but great for parties.
Portable Hole: Light can pull a wormhole out from under her dress in the shape of a black circle which she can place at her feet and jump into. She will then come out of a hole that appears on a solid surface which she can see or thoroughly remember.
Weakness - Due to Entropy and Cartoon Physics, Light is unable to use almost any weapon for one reason or another. For example, most blunt, bladed, or pointed weapons become too dull to use or too rubbery, while firearms will either not work, have slow bullets, or cause sooty explosions that don't do much damage. Even explosives have their power cut down significantly.
Cartoon Physics also makes injuries more severe looking than they should be, IE blunt force causing her to become flat as a pancake or something to that nature.
Due to Cartoon Physics, tying Light up with rope or cable or whatever is extremely effective for whatever reason as she has a very hard time getting out of them.
Her Regeneration has also given Light a sense of Immortality, so much so she has a very hard time detecting danger and thus falls into traps very easily.
Light is also very slow moving until she can get some speed via Entropy.
Bio - Light was found in the City of Metropolos stopping some criminals from an attempted takeover of Star Labs after the trial of Red Arrow. It is unknown where she came from or how she got there, but after seeing her handle the armed thugs with little problem and minimal damage, she was asked to join the Justice League, more so out of the JL's necessity for new members than anything of her standing due to her mysterious circumstances.
My character's have been posted in the character tab for anyone who wants to take a look. Also the top one was from another Rp that ended sometime ago, and the second I just came up with this month. (just a little fun fact)
P.s IC will being once I get this one last CS evaluated so be prepared.

Hell no. A physicist like Peter Parker having trouble with his rent is beyond ridiculous and after what's happened to the X-men in the last decade, I think Marvel right now is really into PC and parody nowadays.

To be fair, Marvel HATES Spiderman/Xmen/Fantastic Four as they don't own the movie rights to those franchises.
So... hws my char? I know the bio is a bit weak, but I'm not good at those, lol.

Which is why they're only in it for the money. Marvel has way too many joke characters to the point where they're becoming the face of the company.
I prefer DC because the heroes aren't drama queens and they have the legacy. Also DC heroes are just so much more easier to feel for since they are good a lot of the time, true they're flawed, but they have a charm that makes their struggles so much better. I never feel invested in most Marvel characters because they have this dou**e bag feel to them and it makes it hard to feel for them. DC also has more exploring to do since Marvel basically used up most of their wild ideas in the 20th century.
It's all a matter of opinion, but by and large I prefer DC to Marvel. Marvel don't really utilize great characters like Iron Fist or Luke Cage as much as they should and instead put trash like Deadpool in the limelight.

My biggest problem with Marvel is that they seem to forget the characters that help make them popular. There would be no Marvel silver age heroes like the Avengers and the X-men if it wasn't for the Fantastic Four. marvel should treat the FF almost like how DC treats the Justice League, as a very important series. I also don't like how they're remaking the comics to look like the movies, I'm very against the whole Inhumans replacing the X-Men BS.
@Zerofighter hasn't really done anything after posting up his character. I haven't even see him lurking around the thread. He hasn't even answered my question regarding the alias Brainiac. Wonder what he's up to...

It's only been a day, no need to jump to conclusions.

I pm'd him earlier when I was drafting my characters and he responded I bet he's just waiting for the IC to start. Which will be with the next 30 minutes or so because my decision has finally been made.
Edit: I'll have to extend that time but I will not sleep till that IC is up!
Personality - Intelligent, hot headed, prone to jumping in without looking. He does try to observe a situation before diving in but frequently his temper or impatience will outpace his caution.
Gear (optional) - Two kuhkri kept sheathed in special scabbards sewn into the back of his jacket. Zippo lighter. Rolling tobacco. Antique pocket watch.
Power/ability - Ryan can manipulate gravity. Turn it off, change its directional orientation, increase our, decrease it, etc. By touching something he can negate an objects gravitational pull, allowing him to simulate super strength. He can also imitate abilities like flight, telekinesis or magnetokinesis. He can also see gravity, the pull, strength, and direction.
Weakness - He's no stronger or tougher than a regular human. So if anything skips through his powers he's just as likely to get knocked out as the next guy. Hence he's constantly on alert and trains in martial arts and works out frequently.
Bio - Ryan was born in Dublin, Ireland and lived there until he was six when his parents emigrated to the states. He liked living in America and today enjoys a dual citizenship but he worked very hard to retain his accent. He learned early on that a lot of the girls he met liked his accent and in his high school years he used it to great effect, eventually landing him in some serious trouble with one of the cheerleaders football player boyfriend.
Half the team jumped him one day dragging him into the empty gym and when they started punching him he felt a pressure burst through his skin and the next thing he new everyone but himself was floating in the air, along with all the equipment within 30 feet of where he stood. In a panic, he ran away, leaving them floating there.
He didn't go home, afraid of what was going to happen. The next day he heard that the players had all fallen to the ground after he left but they identified him and police were looking for him for "attacking innocent students"
The next decade of his life was spent traveling from place to place, learning to use his abilities as best he could. Eventually he was contacted in regards to the new Young Justice, which brings us to today and the start of putting his abilities to good use.
Notes - Speaks with a thick Irish accent and has a tendency to sing random Irish folk songs, especially when he's been drinking.
