Talking about powers, I was thinking about one that acts as "imperceptibility", something in these lines: every time you leave one's line of sight, all memories pertaining to you disappear. Something with infused power (Like jumpers and others that can infuse powers).@Nightraider
That sounds fine. Just remember though, that the power is reflective of the person's unconscious desires, thoughts or fears. So this power is going to have to reflect the personality of the character. How you play that up though is up to you. Are they a shy, lonely person who believes that no one will ever notice them and so that comes true when they're infected? Or are they a brash, confident type who, deep down, is deathly afraid of not being forgotten? Something to think about, if you want :P
All right, I will start looking into my character and picking out what I want. I will also see about obtaining the Wild Card books and familiarizing myself, because frankly, the universe sounds cool.
Are we limited in what type we could pick (i.e. Joker, Ace, Deuce)? I was thinking of going Ace or Ace/Joker depending.
I don't know how I would but I have EPUB files of the books and if you have a E-reader or reader program... I would however suggest that you purchase said books. The website
Ebooks has a selection of them for relatively cheap. It is an amazingly detailed universe.
You are limited, in a way. If you go back to the main post and look at
Rule 5 under "Da Rulez!", you'll see what exactly you can and cannot pick in terms of number. There are also tips on powers and how to write your character to fit in the Universe.
@FantasyChic I bought the first book and I really love it. Well, The Long, Dark Night of Fortunato was too "elaborate". Apart from that, I recommend.
Also, the spanish book cover is nice. (My Kobo's ebook cover is the spanish despite being in English)
I wouldn't say it's "elaborate" more than it's "dark and adult". Plus it sets the stage (plot) for the next 2 books so it is kinda/sorta a necessary story for the set up. This is for the books now, not us. I'll just add that Books I-III are probably the best in the series overall. IV is a bit of a let down and V would be kinda necessary to get a real idea of where we, the players of this RP, are in the world.
Overseer, I'm going to have such a time adding all this new info into the IC and OOC posts.
