@Takashi Thanks for the review. I understand what you mean. My general thought was that all of his spells focus on him. True that he has a wider variety of spells, but even the offensive ones only work on a weapon he is holding. No throwing them out like a fireball or lightning bolt.

Some sort of wrestling inspired round of finale-esque fights from what I gathered, potentially influenced by the scoreboard.

I want to see a character that wields twin bear-traps on chains as a weapon.

Evvie wanted to try wrestling but am sure she'll lose again once she gets put in a grapple. Durability won't help when she's immobilized so she'd need to rely on strength. She needs an opponent who tries hitting her with chairs or something. Or have her be a lot stronger so she can remain on her feet and fight against them trying to restrict her limbs so tey have to take her of guard or do some grapple that puts a huge amount of force on her. Or they can let her fly around and drop chairs on their head like a dive bomber. XD

Makes me wonder why she doesn't drop large rocks on the battlefield more often. The few times she tried using air superiority a giant monster threw a rock at her or she got shot.

Sure, but they'd likely have to be inhabited by bear spirits to explain why they wouldn't flap around uselessly when whipped.

Maybe we could have a Death battle rematch of Tifa (with your desired load out) and Yang. I watched all of RWBY so know a decent amount but may need to look at the stats better, or actually you probably disagree with their stats anyways so maybe not.

I personally consider that a mismatch but the VII universe and materia in general can put things on fair ground. I'd be down.

Watching the movie Advent Children when they are fighting, they seem pretty similar. Tifa may be able to kill final fantasy gods but she doesn't seem unusually powerful. For example, they need bombs to take down reactors rather than her destroying the entire building herself. On this forum if you were god tier you could easily obliterate the entire city yourself and then some. She needs help against shinra gaurds in game as well, who are random people, but of course at max level she could likely obliterate a large number of them. In story, however, in another ff7 game, someone of Cloud's level was able to be killed by a group of them. They were a decently sized group to be sure, but not too insane. I guess they could also be superhuman powered despite seeming like random people to explain this, but they don't really go into their characteristics too much. If they are superpowered than everyone is likely better than humans of our world.

While I thought a rematch of a Death Battle for revenge purposes could be interesting, I would be willing to make a character of possibly similar style that's a higher level if you guys are not convinced. Don't mistake me for thinking Tifa is low tier or anything, but she's not a super high tier either.

Basically it, except the last bit. Some may be influenced by the scoreboard, others by the stories told thus far. Or just based on the participants of.

You mean she tags along while Cloud and the more powerful teammates do the work; she did literally nothing in the Bahamut fight and probably similarly in the fight with Sephiroth at the end of the game. In a literal sense, she probably did quite a bit in the boss fights throughout the game, but only with the crisp teamwork of her allies, which wouldn't be restricted by a battle system or a trio-party-system the game enforces.

So, after my brawl with Melon. I suppose @Rilla we can get down to business before the season begins. Also you're running the WotW right?. We'll need to find someone to run another tourney since the NoW is no longer being run.
