So, it should be noted that I'm basically waiting to see how the two Vamps get together before either meeting up with my comrade or just straight-up engaging. Should I continue doing that, or not?

@Doc Doctor He dodged that!? He literally had a little more than a millionth of a second to react, assuming the air pressure wave extends out as far as ten feet, but considering that arrow was traveling at 11,880,000 ft per second, it could have been a hundred feet and it would be hellishly impressive. How fast can he move!?

@CruallassarIt had detected the air pressure from hundreds to thousands of feet away and preemptively dodged. My character's specialty is super senses, afterall. He can't predict the trajectory of close range attacks in slow motion like in the Matrix though. I know that mach three is fast, lots of feet, calculations aplenty. Just know that though the energy from the dynamic pressure may be most noticeable from ten feet away, it can still be detected from much farther. It just takes more, shall we say, finely tuned instruments. Your character can fire supersonic arrows, and mine in all fairness is decent at not getting one hit killed by them.

As for its exact speed, let's just say it is fast enough to be able to stand a good chance against another pure melee character in a contest of practical skill.

I didn't expect it to be a one hit kill, I expected either A: him to manage to get hit and only take minor damage, or B: him to deflect it or something somehow. But still...nanoseconds here. Maybe into microseconds at long distances. I did the calculations. But still...hey, my character can phase in and out of the physical realm as he fights, so...I suppose I can't really argue with much to stand on.

@CruallassarI getcha, and for what it's worth it barely got out of the way in time. If your archer was within a hundred yards and fired a normal arrow, it would be much more difficult to avoid. Shashous can only detect subsonic attacks with sonar, which gives it a normal reaction time of half the speed of sound. Without a huge pressure gradient to reach its ears before the sound does, it can't foresee fast, close ranged shots too well.

Oh, and even with wings that are considerably tougher than body armor, I didn't picture it to be plausible to survive even a glancing blow from something moving at half the speed of a railgun. I figured it had enough power to put a hole through the wing and then sever the ole' spinal column to boot.

Hey vampire girl...you know that was a teleportation technique I just used, right? Not a cloaking one?

Just out of curiosity how does the teleport work exactly? Because shadow teleportation isn't really a thing which works in my head.

So, I'd like clarification on something...Yami, do your shadows interact with the ethereal plane? Or are they purely physical? I can use my shadow-wielding while Cruallassar is ethereal, however the answer to this question dictates whether or not anyone can harm him while he is in his ethereal form. I've been operating on the assumption of yes, however it needs clarification.

@Cruallassar
I would assume so, as generally in my experience magic can affect things on the ethereal plane

Magic in general yes, however since your spell description was that you manifest the shadows in physical form, and since shadows are not an inherently ethereal part of nature, it begs the question.

That specific spell yeah, but its more of a case by case thing

So...does that mean yours can or can't?

Also, who's turn is it to post? I've been assuming Doc's, but it could also be Yami's, and situations of two people waiting for each other to post can be annoying.
