<Snipped quote by Chairman Stein>
Of course it's unrealistic.
Too be honest I feel too eager to have a monarchy simple because they're fun to rp. When inbreeding makes crazy kings shit gets hilarious fast.
Brazil has a few claimants to the defunct throne with Prince Pedro Carlos (age 70) and Prince Luiz (age 77) being chief among them. They both have male heirs and either would be good figureheads for an ultranationalist movement looking to capitalize on the laurels of Brazil's not so distant past. Support for the restoration of the monarchy is low, but I can only assume that it is a tad more preferable than an openly fascist military junta. If Brazil's Capitalists are unable to mount a proper democratic opposition to the Marxist menace they will sacrifice the power of governance in order to continue making profit. So, it is not terribly unreasonable to think that during this civil war some aristocratic descendants would attempt to flaunt their heritage whilst siding with the reactionaries.
