Feel free to post as much as you'd like leading up to the group meeting, you can show how they heard about the expedition, how they got to Stone Crest, etc. Although I will be posting quicker, feel free to post amongst yourselves beyond a single post if you so wish, just don't get carried away on moving the plot along, I'll take care of that.

Not necessarily. Even if they are traveling further north, they did come down out of the mountains into a lower-lying forest, which could easily offer the landscape a relief from harsher weather that might allow deciduous trees, or at least broadleaf evergreens to grow.

lol. Who knows. Rilana may have been wrong in her assumptions. However, I did just get the mental image of Chartrose scratching on an Ent the way my cats go after their scratching posts. XD

For those wondering, opting for PM and then placing whatever we can in the thread wherever or whenever appropriate.

Also wondering about time-progression between start and upon reaching the valley.

The first few days passed without incident, as they followed the rocky, coniferous lined path, until it dwindled into the forest proper.

If you wish to fill the time in this RP, or do a separate one as a solo, or with the others, feel free.

On account of a literal "snownado", and the resulting cleanup, delays in making a decent IC reply and/or drop of quality will occur.

Chartose right now has the two basic choices of either helping fight the treants, or sticking with the group. Pragmatism and knowing nobody will help him suggests he should do the latter. Plus spears don't seem too useful at hacking tree-limbs. Despite knowing this is the better of two choices, he's still pretty conflicted about abandoning someone.

He'll also be taking Lyle's ram. For safe-keeping.

@Drache@Foster@Rekaigan - I'm moving this along, so Foster if you're going to return/post, just shoot me a message so we can work out the plot and such.

Take this time to post as much amongst yourselves (or start side rps) as you'd like. When you're ready to continue, have your people readying themselves for the next day's journey (which will come with a nice flash forward as we enter Stage III, the final stage of this quest).

Just to clarify the rewards at this point...

Rilana - Blessing of Shadaraliax and Diary of Leandra Sealta, Vol. 4
Alya - Blessing of Shadaraliax and the Note of Ice
Chartrose - Blessing of Shadaraliax and Tricia healed

You can pick where on your character the Blessing appears, but once there, it is permanent until it is activated. Activating is just a mental action, as innate and easy as thinking for your character. The various little bonuses and stuff will reveal themselves over time, but the obvious ones so far are 1) Cold Immunity 2) Can walk over snow without leaving tracks (unless so desired).
