Personality: Aaron’s personality has been shaped by years of playing at royalty in his dream. He considers the dream world more reality than the waking world. Aaron is a proud and stubborn individual, traits he learned in his dream that look quite silly when coming from a child. Aaron is easily angered, and when he’s mad it’s explosive, another comical scene in the waking world. He likes listening to music during school instead of the teachers and is often lost in thought about some random thing or another. Book learning does nothing for him, but he’s exceedingly curious about things he sees that he doesn’t understand. In general, he's just an unhappy boy.

History: Aaron lives with his parents and twin sister. Her name is Emily, and the two are usually fighting over something stupid. They used to get along, but as Aaron sank deeper into his dream world and away from the real one, they began to fight more and more. Aaron’s parents are concerned about his attitude and that he’s doing poorly in school, but they aren’t sure what to do about it. Aaron has never liked school, and really just wishes the teachers would stop nagging him, and he’s progressively gotten worse, both in attitude and education. A king doesn’t need to know math or science, though he has applied some of the basic geography he’s learned in school to his dream world. The only subject that does interest him is history, specifically when it involves great leaders and times of war.

Dreams: Aaron creates an entire fantasy world in his dream, and he rules that world as its one true king. When he’s upset or stressed about something, he’ll create an enemy to battle against and take out his emotions on. His dream world is continuous from one night to the next; every night he creates his world exactly as it was at the end of the previous night.

Name: Darby O'Neal

Age: 11

Gender: Male

Appearance: Darby started growing like a weed not long ago and is beginning to look a little lanky thanks to it. He has a mess of curly brown hair, fair skin with freckles and hazel eyes. His adult teeth came in with no rhyme or reason giving him a goofy but lovable snaggle toothed smile. On a normal day he'll be wearing his usual baseball tee, jeans (most of them with holes in the knees), and sneakers. However in his dreams he becomes master and commander and dresses the part. Just like the heroes on TV he often chooses to dawn some sort of uniform, most likely that of a space pilot. In order to make himself more authoritative he almost always smokes a cigar and has a mysterious scar down one side of his face. For some reason he never looks like an adult man. It just doesn't jive in his dream land.

Personality: As much as he would like to be the gruff, eye-patch-wearing, captain of his little band of misfit friends, this kid is just too sweet and caring by nature. He's the type who will capture spiders who find their way into his family's suburban home and release them safely outside rather than killing them on sight. He is very helpful to his family, teachers and classmates. Being rather shy and compliant he tends to let the tougher, more boisterous kids take charge in their recess games, but under that sweet exterior lies a ruthless and decisive leader yearning to step into the lime light.

History: The O'Neal family is as common place as it gets. Mother, Father, three children. Darby is the middle child with an older brother and little sister. His parents used to insist upon reading as a family before bedtime and since he was old enough to be able to understand the words being read to him by his father Darby's head was filled with the wonder of far away, fantastical people and places. His family lives comfortably but there has never been much money to spend of unnecessary things. They don't own any game consoles or fancy phones and there is only one computer in his mother's office. Therefore the children have spent most of their time outside or watching basic cable whenever anything worthwhile is on. Life was always easy, but recently there have been more tensions than usual over finances. Darby doesn't understand exactly what is going on, but it means his parents have been arguing more often and louder than ever before. At night he looks forward to when his eyes finally close and he can escape.

Thoughts: Most RP's like this are set in large cities because everybody knows about them and it's easy to just make crap up about your surroundings in big generic cities. If you don't want to go that route might I suggest a smaller cuter town maybe an hour or so outside of any major capital. The kind with 50,000-100,000 people, a smattering of suburbs, downtown living and a quaint little main street area with older buildings and lots of shops/farmer's markets. (Ft. Collins CO, Carson City NV, Carlsbad NM, etc...) Cities like that are all pretty similar so it's easy to just fudge details if you want to be vague and just as easy to look them up and get more info if you'd like to be more detailed. At the moment this is sounding like a free-for-all, which I'm okay with as I like my freedom, but I can't help thinking that there should be just a teeny bit of structure/plot in place to keep things from getting too out of hand. I'm not sure if you have something in mind for this already but some sort of outside force that is infringing on these dreamworlds and making them unpleasant (nightmarish) or start collapsing might be cool. Since these kids all seem to be pretty attached to their dreams it would be something they could rally against.

Dreams: His dreams vary and he makes the most of the craziness that his subconscious throws at him though he has enough control to pick and choose what stays and goes. Laser ninjas. Also outer space battles with supersoakers and bubble blowers. Also, also old west cowboy shootouts in classic cars while Elvis blasts in the background and bison that are more lizard than mammal get in the way like the slow stupid cow things they are, their only defense is to explode violently on contact so watch yourself and don't squat with your spurs on!

Personality: Quiet. He doesn't involve himself much with people in the waking world.
History: He had a fairly regular childhood, grew up with married parents. He was never one of the 'cool' kids at school, and retreated inside himself whenever someone made fun of him. It was from this that his love of the dream world arose.
Thoughts: Battles. Yes, battles between omnipotents. What else needs to be said?
Dreams: Joseph enjoys manipulating liquids in dreams. He sometimes summons dream characters to battle for fun. Recently, he has attempted to communicate with others through the dream world. The rest has yet to be revealed :D
