I am full of rps, sorry to be a dissapointment...
STAR WARS
Right, so the other day I went to see Star Wars episode VII and since then it's been hard to get SW off the brain. Now, hopefully there are other people out there who are in the same boatship. I'm fairly (read "far too") knowledgeable about all the background and whatever to Star Wars which is sad but if you're also a terrible Star Wars freak like me we'll get along fantastically.
I'm rusty but I can give you 2-4 paragraphs a pop, I haven't any gore or romance limits and love to write realistic characters who can be petty, selfish, deceptive etc. I like to write realistic and interesting (I hope) characters who have actual personalities and real agendas. There won't be even a hint of the mary-sue or boring, emo anti-hero, my characters are more likely to be arseholes.
Now. Onto the awesome Star Wars-specific goodness :D I would love our characters to be Jedi who get their resolve tested thoroughly throughout our RP, I would love for us to have plenty of "I'm struggling with darkside :c" fun. If we can go from goody Jedi to frightfully evil Sith in our rp then I will commission a statue of you to remind me of your grace.
Ermmm, I really love the empire more than a reasonable person should do (although I am English, it's hard not to identify with their wonderful accents) and would love to have an RP set as imperials or where we turn coat but I'm more than happy to be on the Rebel side throughout. I'm very, very familiar with Star Wars, I could do any setting or type of character if that's what you want.
Plots: What I would absolutely 100% love and adore would be a fresh, new Episode VII with all the tropes of a Star Wars movie: Rebels vs Empire, doomsday weapon, flying the Millenium Falcon, dramatic paternal revelations; the works. This one would be set about 30 years after VI and would involve a resurgent empire at war against the weak and squabbling republic. Luke Skywalker's jedi academy has been disbanded after yet another of his students turned to the dark side with the organisation, and Jedi as a whole, being viewed as the source of too much danger and certainly as causing more harm than good. Most graduates now serve the Empire. With the academy's closure some students took up new roles in the republic, becoming pilots, diplomats and generals but for the most part they simply disappeared into the galaxy and have been declared as threats to the Republic, including Master Skywalker himself. Our characters were students of the Academy which was disbanded two years ago, we have been keeping our past secret to all, fearful of people's reactions and of arrest. Yesterday the Empire declared a new campaign of expansion which will end only when the galaxy is wiped clean of the Republic and all light-serving Jedi, the odds are stacked firmly in their favour. The time to hide is over now for the Jedi, they must now prove their loyalty to the Galaxy's citizens and re-establish the prestige and respect the Jedi once held.
Of course, it doesn't need to specifically be that, I am incredibly open to any and all ideas but would LOVE for an RP where our characters interact with important Star Wars canon ie. Millenium Falcon. It'd be pretty awesome I think. c:
