Halp me and raid the Westerlands? :D Considering the South is going to shit, it could be worthwhile even raiding The Reach, considering how much of the focus has shifted to the area by the Westerlands-Tyrell-Crownlands border, and it would be difficult for Garland to have his fingers everywhere, to counter both a Westerlands threat AND the Ironborn. Though it would be tempting for the Tyrells to make a non-aggression pact with them, I can only imagine that letter being read aloud in the halls of Pyke to laughter.

@Cold Hands

Damn, I hope for the best, RLCF (Real Life Comes First).

@agentmanatee

Exactly. Garland's plan is really formulated from beating Crakehall's men first and foremost, Highgarden itself is roughly a week away from King's Landing, but remember, Torrentpeak is even further, maybe two to three! It's the most distant vassal of The Reach, but it puts into perspective- if Garland wants to raise every single banner, it will take him a hell of a long time, it won't be an organized force until it's rallied up in somewhere such as Tumbleton, or in Highgarden. Hence, if the Tumbletons arrive first and basically are there within two days, Garland is likely going to tell Lord Tumbleton to just send a rabble so fast he needs men there, and set up inside King's Landing, they have the gates, they have control, but they are not a strong occupying force. But nobody has attacked King's Landing straight up and won, not without siege equipment and naval supremacy, which is what Garland is going to gamble that the recent decleration hasn't already covered, and that Crakehall will be forced to wait. Or, so at least he hopes.

Yes,that's the upper hand the westerlabds hsve,on most other kingdoms, they can raise their banners with a rather unsettling speed thanks to the unity the Lannisters, and now the Crakehalls, foster in their vassals. Hence the speed in which he can raise his banners is far faster

@kingkonradHmmm...what I'm picturing in my head...

Garland: "Can you do that thing...you know, that thing with your mouth?"
Ellion: "You ask me to show such a thing, here?"
Garland: *nods, slowly* "...please."
Ellion: *raises a brow, before bringing a finger and thumb to mouth, letting out a low whistle*
Falcon: *begins balancing a coloured ball on it's head*
Garland: *makes happy baby sounds*
Arecel: "Hey, I know that sound! Hey, Maester?"
Sringer: "Yes, what is it my lady?"
Arecel: "I believe my brother may be in a fowl mood."
Ellion: e_e
Sringer: *slowly brings dagger to his own throat*

Haha, Falconry Puns!

It will be fun, I can imagine Garland attaching a playful message to his Falcon's carrier going back- something in the lines of "How the hell did you get a Falcon to carry messages? When this dies down, could you visit?"

I feel that things are moving a bit quick- though if everyone is okay for me to post before we get a peep from the Iron Islands, then I can do so today. Willas is almost done- though I forget, can Kingsguard get married?

Why thank you! I'm banking on someone taking the North or it could get very difficult to think of what to put in my posts...

Edit: WELL, I already screwed up by quoting the wrong person in this, so hopefully Bluetommy see's this....

So, this RP definitely looks like my cup of tea. In ways you would not believe! Couple of questions though...

How trully big of a host would a King of the True North (Not that measley patch of ground just south of the Wall) would have? I ask, because during Mance's time, he had assembled a host of 100,000 wildlings NOT including noncombatants. Forces included Mammoths, Giants, and Wargs. Its a couple hundred years later, and I expect the majority of Mance's forces got wiped out, but its STILL a few centuries (If we're going by show events, not book events) for them to rebreed. So what would be reasonable?

Is the Stark bloodline descended from Rickon or Sansa? I know that the Stark's are available for play and they're definately something for me to consider... but yeah, just looking to know where I stand with the Boltons.

Finally, since Essoi characters are allowed... if we wanted to do a Mercenary COmmander, like say, the Ragged Prince or Bloodbeard, would such a character sheet be akin to King beyond the wall? Host, but no seat of power?

Can't wait to throw my hat into the ring and be apart of this! This looks AMAZING.

@Dawnscroll

I'd say a host'd be around 50 thousand, though they'd meet up slowly

Starks descend from Rickon.

You totally could.

Thanks! I tried!

Heh, sweet!

Though I suppose the Ultimate question is... what does this RP need the most? I know you guys need a North player, but DAMN that Greyjoy strategem is scary. Kingbeyond the Wall is still open, and I would love play a horde, and I've always loved the Wildling Culture and theme, but my concern is little contact with the other players. A mercenary group is redundant in a game like that, but it would ensure contact, even if I had much smaller numbers than everyone else.

Point blank, willing to play anything you need me too. Just wanted to share my thoughts... now excuse me while I stare angrily at a map of westeros and try to wipe out the Greyjoys.

Thoughts?

@bluetommy2awoiaf.westeros.org/index.php/Armies#N..
The North region is large, but of course quite cold. So, not so densely populated...like northern parts of Canada.

@Dawnscrollawoiaf.westeros.org/images/e/e7/Map_of..
Here is the right map for you to glare at.
The Vale is pretty damned isolated as well, but quite safe.
I'm strangely coming to like all this love letter exchange between the Lords Paramount.

Or, the Stormlands, or Dorne on the complete opposite side of the world. The North is an essential kingdom, I would think- it's a binary, and being you know, THE largest Kingdom in the Seven, it works well to also shape the policy of the Riverlands/Vale. I still would think Kingdoms should be filled, and either the North, or Stormlands would be an important faction for dealings from all factions.
