I like to just go with the flow and see what happens. It's great to have a tough challenge, helps a fella to work on his critical thinking. But, even when paired with the weakest character, it seems nearly impossible to stop Crual.
Basically, whenever he is in a tight spot he can just shadow away to safety. It's like an absolute defence. Not that I'm complaining. The same might be said of Shashous-Throth's offense, since even a single nip or scratch from him can result in eventual death and madness, albeit it can take a good while for the toxins to kick in.

Well, that is his...well...only defensive option. Other than dodging. I made Cruallassar as a pretty solid glass-cannon character, he can dodge and evade your attacks all day...but get one good hit in and it will do damage. And it IS possible to get that hit in...you already did it once with your poison mucus. But yeah, he was also designed to be especially good vs enemies that rely on purely physical attacks, and suffers greatly against mages and other magical enemies because that defense of his doesn't work. So...yes, he is very strong, but I put him here in a fight that nearly perfectly suits him.

The poison mucous and various vampiric shadow spells (at the hands of which Crual suffered greatly) certainly inflicted enough trauma to change the tides of battle.

Hey sorry for the lull, I wasnt really sure where to go with this and it seems that we've come to a bit of a stalemate. I have my next move figured out but with Christmas coming up Lunars away at his parents place for the time being. So how about we put this on hold until Boxing Day?

Feel free to interrupt actions if possible, Shash had less ground to cover and superior spatial awareness. My post isn't assuming that Crual would pop up in the same chamber as the monster, unless that's really what he wants to do of course.

So...would you mind clarifying exactly what is happening? From what I gather, Shashous's tail is grabbing the net's center and somehow launching the rock-covered edges like a cat-o-nine-tails towards me, using the few extra feet of net compensate for the remainder of the range...but from under him, so...I'm having some trouble visualizing this. If you are assuming that the range between Cruallassar and Shashous is your tail + the radius of the net, then I was thinking a bit farther, at least ten meters, since I don't want shrapnel from the HV or explosive arrows to backblast and hit me. Assuming a large tunnel of ten feet in diameter, that means the radius of the net is about five feet...and you need a foot or two to actually do more damage then take the skin off Cruallassar's nose. So assume one meter of net. Your tail is twelve feet long...I'll go ahead and round that up for the sake of equal measures to four meters. That adds up to only five meters, assuming the length of your tail actually holding the net is tied up in the two feet of net to do damage. Not only has that a minimal likelyhood of being able to disrupt my shot at all, you can't even hit me without getting closer, or just throwing the net. Which in turn has a possibility of disrupting one, maybe two of my arrows at best, since I doubt the hitting center of the net would trigger the explosive shot.
