“Ah! Give in! Quit spooking me kids will ya!” came the yell of the tavern owner. A gruff, slightly greasy man, though bearing a welcoming smile.
Three children all younger than ten, by the stranger’s reckoning, scampered away from the cloaked patron and out the door onto the docks of Sfel. The middle-aged man who’d been regaling the old wives’ tale to them left out a throaty chuckle, clamped by the smoke of his pipe.
“Aye. Another, good sir.” He beckoned to the tavernman.
“They should be arriving shortly.”

Hey all! This a rather classical fantasy rpg interest check, with a couple neat points.
First off, the setting, is going to be an expansion on a nation I used for a NRP and never got to fully flesh out, it had a coherent and fun fantasy setting while still taking a serious tone, and I think it’ll make perfect material for a focused character RP!
Now like it’s inspiring material, this RP will be mature. By that I don’t mean bewbs and f’ing everything, I mean a high standard of writing coupled with an ability to tackle actual themes but with a knack for still having some wry humour. It is worth mentioning up front that I am a very agreeable GM and though I am saying this is ‘my original’ setting, feel free to suggest anything, ask anything, add whatever you think fits!
I’d ideally like a group of 4-6 players, more could work if there’s a lot of interest.
The actual plot thread I'm working is a little odd. It's best described as this being a noir in a fantasy robe.
I'll also be emploring behind the scenes game-like elements. Each scene will be like a classic rpg scenario, there will be 'answers' and some scenes could be quick or timely depending on you the player! The level of this kind of meta gaming will be to the extent that you know it's there, but slim in enough that you can feel comfortable about it being IC.
As for the Chapter 1 part of the title? I’d like to do a series of smaller RPs connected in an overall canon if possible. It is an idea I’ve been toying with due to the singular appeal of keeping things fresh!.
I can plop out a OOC whenever, just want to know if people are looking for such a thing as of now.
