Marilee E. Laikos
Location; The Café
Interacting With: Ray@obscurus, Harvey @Altered Tundra and Peter @MiddleEarthRoze
This Ray had a knack for being an insensitive prick, didn't he? He was a coward with half a brain and no human sensitivity. Reminded her of Prince Paris, one of Aphrodite's favored during the Trojan war. Were all her kids like this? She thought they'd be more caring and lovable, not punchable and despicable. What? Did he want her to cry or something? She wouldn't waste any tears on him. Marilee had a Daughter of Hecate's pride in this manner at least. A woman should never coddle a chauvinistic man. And unfortunately most men of the modern era still had that little boar inside of them, squealing and oinking that women were somehow beneath them, second-class citizens.
Demigod reality? Everyone's reality was different. Everyone had their own way of looking at the world. But treating women with respect was just a basic human principle of manners. Yes, she had her flaws, but was he really going to stand there and act better than her? Like he was exempt from all of his flaws? Like he didn't have to apologize after he did something so obviously and blatantly wrong?
Of course he didn't care about learning his lesson. His arrogance was blinding him for seeing how messed up his actions were. His reactions were even more appalling. Someone had obviously not had a mother figure's influence at all. His disregard for other people's wellbeing was revolting, to say the very least.
No one wanted to be hexed. Just like she didn't want to be drugged. So they were even. And he was too stupid to see that she had let him off lightly.
Oh, she was the one being an d*ck? Funny. From where she was sitting it was him. Who tried to justify doing something that in the human world was considered illegal? This guy was missing a part of his brain.
Far worse than death and he wanted her to threaten him with it? Marilee stared at him like the halfwit he was. Even there he contradicted himself. He was acting like she had started this! He used his powers on her first, not the other way around. It was decided then. He was a full blown idiot. No wonder Mister Sailor Mouth And Tattoos threw salt into old wounds.
Arrogance and stupidity were things she didn't really like in anyone at all. And Ray possessed both of those to such an extent that he tried to psychologically transfer them onto her. The wonderful little thing about hexes though, was that they followed their intendeds like a schoolgirl with a crush. That was their nature. They were directed at one person and one person alone. Her hex had been made with him in mind. It was why it wouldn't effect her or anyone else who entered the cafe. Just him.
This guy needed to figure out who he was dealing with before he did idiotic things. But morons were often too bullheaded to realize when they were wrong. His arrogance only furthered that, by making him believe he couldn't possible be in the wrong. Ugh. He made her skin crawl. Creeps like him actually existed.
"Yes, the next time I need a sleeping potion, I'd really try to seek you out instead of just going to a pharmacy to grab a bottle of Nightquil," she scoffed with a brow raised. So he was going to try and out run her hex? Good luck to him. Either way, he was going to have a rotten day, if not from her magic than from someone else who wanted to punch him in his chauvinistic, moronic mouth.
Her eyes turned to the punk-rock tattooed guy. Seemed like her dramatic reaction hadn't scared everyone away. In fact he looked a bit excited. A slow smile crossed her face. He had seen her at only part of her worst and he still wanted to try and mess with her? Marilee knew she was messed up. At least she could admit it. But she never thought her emotional twisted side would actually make her more interesting. If anything she expected people to just back off. Like usual.
What was up with this guy? Her eyes went from his gelled hair, to the shaved sides of his head, down to his many piercing, and further down to his dark tattoos. THe hair gel said 'a**hole' and so had his previous maliciousness to try and gut Ray with an underhanded jab at family matters. But he was trying to move beyond the bad first impression they had both had of each other. And despite his vulgar mouth, he was trying to keep it a little clean for the introduction. She'd give him that.
Marilee wouldn't lie to herself. She found him in the same way a starving lioness found a giant slab of steak. Delectable and easy pickings. And who knew? Maybe he'd surprise her with being more than a shallow and arrogant Demi-D*ck. Was worth a shot. But he better watch out. Once she dug her claws into his, he wouldn't get away with anything less than being devoured whole. It was just the Hecate in her she supposed.
Mirror-like blue eyes locking with hers, she leaned forwards slightly, a small smile playing at the corners of her mouth. "Sorry about the cuts," she mused, tasting each word before it left her mouth, "Marilee Laikos... Daughter of Hecate, Goddess of Magic and Crossroad." She took his hand lightly, amused with this more sufferable arrogant jerk than the one who called himself Ray, Son of Aphrodite.
But as soon as she had given him her hand, she slipped it out. Just because she found him mouth watering, didn't mean she was going to fawn over him like some doe-eyed nymph. Her smiled faded back to that small hint of grin at the corner of her mouth. "I apologize for ruining everyone's brunch," she glanced over at the third and silent male in the cafe, "I have a tendency to... be a bit overly dramatic."
