Standing at only 5ft 2 Zaray might not seem too intimidating but with her big attitude and one piercing grey eye, she has been known to let even the toughest of men take a double take. Hates the connotation that blonde humans aren't as smart as humans of other hair colors. When not in full gear, she prefers to dress as comfortable as possible: being seen in tights/leggings and large cloth sweaters or shirts. She lost her eye in a fight with an estranged lover of the past. He was a great cook, and even a better shot with a chef's knife.
Armor & Weapons:
Being a pirate has had it's benefits of weaponry, giving Zaray a variety of things she has had at least tried. She prefers quick and small guns, keeping a small tactical machine pistol of the corrosive type at her side. Not afraid to slap or punch someone in the mouth if she feels it's necessary. Quick on her feet, and crafty sometimes the best weapon she has is her mouth.
Her armor is a hodge-podge of pieces put together that she has stolen borrowed over the years. Close fitting for easy and quick movement. She likes to look well put together though, taking the initiative to strip, sand, repaint, and polish the old armor to look brand new and a part of a set. She loves the color orange. Give her something orange and she'll love you forever.
Backstory:
Ahh home sweet home Cryptea the breeding ground of the exquisite human race. Look in wonder and awe as you see our planet BLESSED with beautiful and life producing greenery, breath taking mountains, mysterious oceans and mounds of smelly trash.
That's where Zaray comes in.
Working as a garbage collector had it's connotations but it put food in her belly and change in her pocket. The girl's father had been a garbage collector, and his father before him, so you could say the Lor family didn't have much going for them. Eventually she got in cahoots with a group of fellow collectors who took to stealing the garbage and making a profit from it, scrapping metals and re-purposing items. They really meant it when they said one man's trash is another man's treasure.
Eventually this wasn't enough for motley crew, and they pooled all their money to buy a shitty ship, to take to the other worlds and systems to steal other people's "trash". How exciting! Life became a bit more chaotic for Zaray as she constantly was on the run, not having anytime to settle down or create real relationships with anyone besides the enemies she created here and there.
As different strings pulled the original crew apart, they took a huge leap deciding to scrap their ship they had worked so hard to buy, and just split the money and go their own ways. Zaray found herself a bit lost in the world of possibilities. It wasn't until her first encounter with Muru that she felt she had purpose again.
Name: Daniel Krayt Race: Human Age: 37 Gender: Male Occupation: Corporate Security Homeworld: Oros Homeworld Description: An ice world with very few inhabited outposts this world is primarily used for mining operations which, due to the thickness of the ice and density of the minerals beneath, can take decades at a time to complete. Because of this most miners make their home on the scattered stations across the planet, the largest and most populated being: Malgus, Callan, and Tellum.
Appearance: Daniel Krayt stands at 6 feet tall with wide shoulders and strong, sinewy limbs. He has brown hair, though he tends to keep his head shaved, and a thick goatee that is shot with gray. His left eye is somewhat droopy and the skin around it rubbery and calloused due to injuries sustained from a grenade blast years before which resulted in second and third degree burns as well as shrapnel wounds, thankfully he retained use of his eye; unfortunately it was severely hindered and required cybernetic enhancement. When not wearing armor Daniel wears dark and simple clothes, solid colors and shaded glasses to help cover his scarring.
Armor/weapons:
A-54 Electric Assault Rifle A sophisticated design produced by Apporax Industries the A-54 fires rounds produced from an ammunition block like many state of the art weapons, however it increases its damage by supercharging each round with a slight electric current. The weapon, when fired in high enough concentration, can disable tech attachments to armor as well as electrocute enemies wearing conductors or battery packs for energy weapons.
Serrine .50 Magnum A Serrine is a high accuracy magnum with a revolving chamber that spins quickly to allow semi automatic fire. It shaves off rounds at a .50 caliber size and hurdles them toward targets to devastating effect.
Bracer-Blades On each of Krayts bracers is a blade which extends one inch off of his forearm from the wrist to the elbow, allowing him to use his arms in combat as slashing weapons rather than be reliant on a sword or knife.
Backstory: Krayt was one of few survivors of an ice storm that left his station, Magashi, powerless and unreachable for nearly a month. Food supplies ran short quickly as they were only days away from their ration distribution cycle and thus many of the miners on the station resorted to cannibalism to survive. By the end of the ordeal Krayt had also been given little choice. The trauma he endured being forced to survive in a frozen wasteland for so long at such a young age never fully healed and Krayt found that he had to separate himself from most of the civilized galaxy, once proclaiming to a friend that he could "never look at a man the same way again" after the incident he left the planet at the age of 18 and joined a mercenary company in the outer rim.
Daniel worked for the mercenaries for nearly a decade before he was forced to part ways over a series of disputes over taxation imposed by the mercenaries' commander. Now a freelancer in a sector dominated by companies he was forced to leave and find work elsewhere. As fate would have it the Ammorax Corporation was hiring a huge number of new security officers and offered Krayt a position the moment he contacted them. He served them for four years before being promoted to a leadership position where he led a unit of eight other men on corporate missions to steal schematics or procure resources for the company. In the wake of the cataclysm which has recently befallen several planets in the outer rim, Amorax Corporation assigned Daniel to a new mission, one involving Muru an infant Kelgoss.
"I've had many names before...but right now I am known as Simon."
Race?
"I am a Therian, a race of asexual shape-shifters from the outer rim. My kind are...sadly spread far and wide due to the destruction of our homeworld."
Age?
"In actuality? I am unsure. By last count, perhaps... Maybe two centuries, maybe older. The time my kind spent drifting in deep space...it simply can't be counted."
Gender?
"For the purposes of this interview, male. Though I can be anyone I wish."
Occupation?
"I am a medical officer serving on the Teret Hierarchy frigate Excalibur, under the employ of PharmCo Pharmaceutical's Military and Medical Research Division."
Homeworld?
"Theria. It...was a fringe planet in the outer rim."
What was Theria like?
"Theria...a lush, green world, much like your human homeworld. Oceans, forests and jungles, mountain ranges and valleys, everything. However, unlike your home, ours was more...lethal. You see, we Therians evolved the way we are now because of survival. Back home, everything was trying to kill us. So we evolved, over the centuries, to be able to take on temporary forms to be able to survive through the harsh seasons. We became shape-shifters as a result.
There was no governing force at the time. All Therians were linked to each other by a psychic link. We were a mostly peaceful culture. Through study of the local fauna we were able to develop remedies to many diseases. Through study of the stars we developed our own astrology, and science soon was able to propel our kind into the stars.
However...time for us was short. Our sun was old, very old. By the time we developed faster-than-light travel, it was going supernova. We had no choice but to abandon our planet before the sun consumed our entire system. Thus the Therians are what we are now: nomads, without a place to call home."
What do you look like? Really.
"Well, I stand six feet and one inch tall, weighing a hundred and sixty five pounds. My physique is that of a lean, muscled man. I have a head of messy brown hair and brown eyes, freckles and a slightly crooked nose, putting out an image of your average everyday human male. Which, of course, I'm not. This is only my current image, and I can shift and form it as I see fit. My original form is a slender, grey-skinned humanoid not dissimilar to a naked human male, but without hair, tertiary sexual organs or other discerning characteristics."
Your equipment?
"I believe my personnel dossier has already covered all of the equipment provided to me by the PharmCo Corporation, but if you insist."
This set of lightweight, high strength, flexible plas-steel armour is the latest in PharmCo's line of military-grade medical gear. It comes in built with multiple sensors on the gloves to detect a casualty's pulse, breathing rate and blood pressure, along with a small array of miniature x-ray beams that transmit a direct image of the skeletal or organ structure of the casualty to the user's helmet visor. The armour also monitors ambient weather conditions like oxygen, pressure levels, temperature, harmful gases and radiological or biological hazards in the vicinity of the user. Finally, rounding out the armour's sensory capabilities, it also monitors the user's own vital signs, displaying injuries where they are sustained on the body. Its crisp, white design also comes with a red cross on the left breastplate and on the shoulder pauldrons, not depicted in the picture due to the above being a representation before final painting.
"The armor also comes with several, secret functions.
First, as part of my Therian physiology, it can adapt and shift forms along with me, growing or shrinking to accommodate my body whenever I have to change my size or structure of my body or limbs.
Second, not only can the armor shift with me, it can also adapt my cells and biology to become part of my medical supplies that I need, be it MediGel or morphine. Special syringes and canisters on the inside of the armor take care to extract samples of my cells, after which they are synthesized by its internal mechanisms to become whatever I need.
Third, the armour's backplate comes with a 3D printer, an advanced model that is able to print harder perishable supplies like syringes and empty tubes, or even surgical staples or ammunition for my rifle. This armour is meant to be mass produced, not just for doctors, but for all soldiers under the CCS, to address the concerns regarding limited ammunition supplies on the war front.
All in all this armor is a marvel of modern engineering, and my best success in this field. Taking it out for a field test is exactly what it needed as a finishing touch."
PharmCo Full Surgical Field Assembly
One of PharmCo's finest inventions, the FSFA is a set of armour rigging and webbing that is designed to fit over any of the company's many lines of combat armour. The rigging is specially made for field doctors or surgeons, and contains a myriad of sleeves and pouches designed to hold medical equipment designed by PharmCo, or otherwise. These include the AMSD, the LASC, and a wide array of other medical devices, such as medigel tubes, morphine syrettes, disinfectant sprays and other related equipment. Simon's rig comes fitted with the following:
5 x PharmCo MediGel Tubes (Instructions: twist open top, squeeze contents liberally onto wound) - These small, palm-sized tubes are full of PharmCo's proprietary MediGel, a non-toxic gelatin-based healing agent that speeds up cellular growth and regeneration, and prevents profuse bleeding. Its method of action is, after application, the cold gel rapidly warms from body heat and melts, turning into a liquid that diffuses and is absorbed quickly into the body. Once there, haematostatic agents within the liquid act quickly on open blood vessels, causing clotting and preventing any further bleeding, while regrowth agents activate and superspeed the body's ability to heal, quickly sealing any small or medium-sized wounds. The gel is quick-acting, and are normally used in the field by combat medics to stabilise casualties with small to medium-sized wounds. Larger wounds, however, will require more stabilisation than just gel and morphine. Designed by PharmCo to be effective on any form of biological tissue, human or alien! ("Being synthesized using my flesh as a base for its regenerative properties certainly helps.")
5 x PharmCo Quick-use Syrettes (Instructions: pop top with thumb, insert needle end into exposed flesh, wait five to ten seconds, remove and dispose) - These syrettes are filled with numbing morphine, and are made from a special 3D-printer and refiller within his armour's chest plate. He can only carry five at a time and the amount of spare morphine he carries is limited to another ten syrettes.
1 x PharmCo Disinfectant Aerosol Canister (Instructions: pop top, shake well, spray on area to be treated) - Also known as a simple disinfectant spray, this hand-sized spray canister contains a specialised liquid that, upon being aerosolised, is capable of removing 99.9% of bacterial or viral agents in a specified area.
1 x PharmCo Malleable Splint - A mid-sized device, this roll of malleable, high-strength plas-steel is made for casualties with broken limbs. Once removed from its plastic seal, the splint can be unrolled and then formed precisely according to the limb that is injured. Once formed, the material will stay solid and stiff while the casualty is being transported, and is easily cut open or removed upon reaching a field hospital or surgical suite.
PharmCo Laser-Assisted Surgical Cutter
Everything it says on the tin, the LASC is a glorified laser cutter, small in size so that it fits within one of his kit's recesses. The LASC operates on the basic principle that doctors or medics in the field need quick and easy access to wounded soldiers' flesh, and PharmCo's solution was a high-powered laser cutter that could easily eat through the layers of adaptive armour and webbing that comprised a regular Terran soldier's gear, yet was safe enough to use without cutting the casualty underneath. Their solution was a high-strength, low-intensity laser that merely heated flesh to a slightly uncomfortable level, but was strong enough to penetrate multiple layers of armour and clothing with ease. All this was packed into a neat pen-sized device that is able to be carried anywhere feasible on the body.
PharmCo Adaptive Medical Solution Device
Unlike what its elaborate name suggests, the AMSD is essentially a medigun. Developed by PharmCo's experimental research division, the AMSD, or Amsad as it's affectionately called by the staff, is a hybrid between a battle rifle and an all-purpose field medical apparatus. In its battle rifle form, it fires slugs made of superheated steel shorn from a single rectangular magazine within its grip through the use of magnets powered and operated by an onboard computer system, making it an effective railgun. Its medical uses are far more diverse, as apart from being able to preserve the life of its user through rapid application of molten metal into potential aggressors, it is also able to be loaded with alternative ammunition, by way of overriding the main barrel's load with an external feed. These are:
Morphine Syrettes - If the medical officer or orderly on hand does not have the time to reach for a syrette from his back pouch, he can instead load a syrette that's already attached onto the gun's side into the rifle's breech on the top of the assembly. Once done, the gun's onboard computer system detects that it is firing syringes, and will lower its power output significantly to reduce injury. Pulling the trigger will apply the syrette similar to an injection gun, and the syrette is easily removed by simply pulling the gun barrel away from the patient's flesh. Of course, if the gun's safety system is overridden, it can and will fire a syrette at railgun speeds with deadly accuracy, though it's not designed to. Each AMSD comes pre-fitted with two syrettes on either side of the gun assembly.
Surgical Staples - Just like the syrettes, each AMSD comes pre-fitted with a double load of superstrength alloy staples, on either sides of the gun in small, disposable loader magazines. When a load of staples are pushed into the rifle barrel, its computer detects the wanted function and lowers its power levels to make it function as an overly large staple gun. Once this is done, the AMSD can be used to quickly close gaping wounds, similar to a modern medical staple gun. And, just like the above mentioned, if the safety system is overridden, the AMSD will fire its staples with deadly force, though it's not designed to.
MediGel - The only load for the AMSD that is not dangerous when fired, MediGel is able to be loaded within the AMSD and applied over a longer surface, much like how a glue gun works. The rifle's barrel is more suited for insertion into slightly gaping wounds, thus allowing the medical officer or orderly to apply gel to deeper wounds, thus stimulating healing from the inside out and enabling him to quickly treat a casualty with moderately serious wounds.
Biography? And keep it short, please.
"Simon is an identity I built to keep myself employed. Us Therians are simple people, intelligent enough for space travel but simple enough to keep our prospects purely within our star system. But when our sun began to go supernova, we entertained the notion of exploring outside of our system, to the stars. Interstellar travel was a concept not yet conceived on our planet, but within years we had our first working subspace vessel, and in a decade and a half we had a fleet.
By then our sun was dangerously close to wiping out our entire system, so we did the only thing we could: we packed up and ran.
However, we did not run fast enough.
When the sun exploded and collapsed, our fleet was decimated. Out of the twelve colony ships that left Theria, only four survived. The rest were either disabled permanently by the electromagnetic pulse created during the explosion and left adrift, or were sucked into the ensuing black hole and destroyed. Our four ships were the ones that survived the EMP blast and carried on
After what seemed like centuries lost in space, our fleet was detected by a Teret Hierarchy scout cruiser and led into allied space. Safety was certain indeed. The humanoid forms we had, coupled with our ability to shapeshift, gave us the freedom we needed to integrate fully within the galactic society. Thus our race, exiled by the destruction of our system, now lay spread thin across the colonies, and I found myself out of work and in need of something to do. I drifted aimlessly between part-time jobs, each with its own identity I tailored for it, all never quite working out the way I intended. I went through so many identities, some alien, most human, that I almost forgot myself.
It was almost two years before I found my calling: medicine. That's right, yes, I discovered that I had a pensity and disposition well suited to the life of a doctor or surgeon, and so I went for formal medical education and received my very own bachelor's degree in medicine. I was a doctor. I branched out into surgery, and soon I found myself working at a colony clinic on Mars. It's where 'Simon' came to be. As my work grew in scale, it attracted the eyes of some big corporations. Like your people.
That's when I found PharmCo, or rather, you found me. I understand that your Research and Development wing is almost fully confidential, which is why, when I signed up, they required me to...invent an identity for myself. I took the basis of 'Simon' and crafted a full story, thoroughly backed up by false evidence made up by the PharmCo officiate staff. Then I was led into their fold, and the rest is history. You can read how I became a field tester of their gear in my - I mean, Simon's dossier
Now that our race is scattered far and wide, I fear that most may have lost memory of our home. I have not, though, and exploration with the CCS Navy has been enlightening. My memory of my home will never fade, though, and one day I hope to return to my system, or what's left of it."
Your personality?
"Objectively? Well, I would describe myself as humble, meek, even a little shy and very, very awkward, mainly because of who I really am underneath the flesh. I am a trifle afraid, actually, of your more human customs and mannerisms, and though I have lived as one of you for a long time, they are still quite foreign, to me. I may seem like a nice person, and in fact I am. Most of what is stated on my personnel dossier is true to me, and I would not say otherwise. I would say, however, that I am more articulate in my choice of words, though I am still quite...quiet under normal circumstances, as my dossier suggests. Under stress, however, I tend to get a little bit rash and abrasive, and also cynical and blunt at times, but I really do mean well."
Any skills? Expert Class - Field and General Medicine ("I studied and worked as a doctor for many years, on both human and alien physiologies. I consider myself as one of the finest, in that regard.") Class - Combat Surgery ("Let it be said that a doctor who can operate on someone in the midst of a firefight is an expert in that field.")
Skilled General - Electronics ("I run my own maintenance on my gear and the computers I use on the ship.")
Proficient Combat - Marksmanship ("I daresay I am an alright shot, but I am still just a doctor in a ship full of trained marksman.")
Anything you can do that us humans can't?
Cellular Healing Factor - "My kind have cells not unlike yours, but where your cells take days, to months, to even years to rebuild themselves, Therian cells are able to heal wounds and regrowth flesh within minutes to hours, depending on severity. We are even able to regrow muscle and bone, even cranial matter, but those take far more time, akin to your human rates of bone growth."
Shape-shifting - "As I have stated above, my kind are primarily asexual, but we found early on that if we wanted to survive our world, we needed to assume forms that could easily change and adapt to our harsh homeworld. Thus, we became shape-shifters. The me that you see now could easily become another person in the span of seconds."
Vakuria Description: A volcanic wasteland in the outer rim, Vakuria is dominated by giant volcanoes and vast lava flows. The cities are located underground, in which the cool and hospitable caves provide vast underground lakes, providing as massive, natural reservoirs. In addition, the planet is prized for its stunning volcanic gemstones and crystals, which are valued across the galaxy.
Appearance: As seen above, metal components make up as his clothing, for he is a cyborg.
Weapons:
HP-654 Alpha Assault Rifle
Dual DP-099 Gemini Pistols
X-230 Energy Katana
FN-Stun Grenades
Zalagarian-Class Starship
Backstory: Gal' Elturbak was a Vesegrak born on the home planet of Vakuria. As a boy, he had always wanted to be a pilot, seeing that his father happened to be one for the CCS. After all, he was a good student in the local militia academy and was also highly-gifted in both piloting and a naturally-capable soldier. Additional training was also provided by his father, who occasionally returned home for several weeks to visit him and his mother, who owned a small business in jewelry. She wasn't too happy for her son's decision to join the CSS, as she was worried that he'll get injured or even killed. Nevertheless, she also understood his decision for wanting to see the whole galaxy as well.
At the age of 19, Elturbak graduated the Academy and served the local militia for 10 years, before enlisting to the CSS. He was finally fighting along side his father, a childhood-dream finally coming true. For another 25 straight years they've fought both on the ground and in orbit against the many threats that opposed the CSS. However, it was over the battle of Unoha IV when tragedy struck. As he and his father fought against the elite pirate forces, the latter was ultimately hit by an incoming missile. Elturbak watched helplessly as his father gets his ship obliterated in a ball of fire. It would be a victory for the CSS, but not without a heavy price. That day would scar the Vesegrak for the rest of his life, haunting him in his sleep...
Regardless Elturbak continued to serve the CSS, hoping to avenge his father's death. He became more cocky in his nature and sometimes over-confident and reckless in his decisions. He even became more ruthless towards the pirates when killing them and continued to have nightmares and playbacks of his father's death. It seems as if he was slowly and mentally deteriorating from the guilt he carries with him. However, his newfound attitude would eventually bite his ass and make him pay for his insolent behavior, 4 years later. On the ground battle of Quarum's second moon, as he lead a squad straight into battle, an artillery blast from a pirate cannon would hit right below his feet. The explosion ultimately ripped both of his legs and left him on the ground in agonizing pain and suffering. A feeling that was even worse then the mental pain he experienced for the last 4 years.
Only through a shear miracle was Elturbak taken back to a medical frigate and treated for his wounds. Normally, injuries like that would kill the person through mere minutes as he would die by severe blood loss. Somehow he kept himself alive and ultimately underwent major surgery to get new mechanical legs, along with other cybernetic enhancements. Yet this would be the end of his career in the CSS. To their eyes, Elturbak was now handicapped and was no longer capable of fighting in the field of battle. He just couldn't believe it! First his father dies and now he gets injured to the point that he can no longer continue his legacy?! He tries to convince them to let him fight, but alas he couldn't and was forced to retire from service.
Yet he wouldn't let this discourage him from the field of battle. He eventually became a mercenary and moved back to the outer rim worlds, where he hopes to find more jobs to partake in. He was lucky that he was able to still have his Zalagarian Starship and weapons with him, not just to travel the galaxy, but also as a memorial to his life and dedication as a proud CSS soldier and pilot.
The Hunter's Guild was formed after Humanity was well into the Galactic Age. From a species who had already at one stage wanted everything under the sun, surely there would be someone who would want everything under the stars as well, and the Hunter's Guild operates with those desires in mind. They specialize in hunting rare and exotic beasts for the galaxy's rich and famous. Perhaps there are other mercenary companies who would be able to take down several of the beasts the Hunter's Guild are known for hunting, but the Hunter's Guild has garenered a reputation for being able to catch any of their targets alive.
But the Hunter's Guild isn't just a band of mercenaries. Perhaps it could've been thought of as such when it was first formed but over time the Hunter's Guild grew to be more than just that. They've become something like a conglomerate Super-Corporation boasting facilities devoted to advanced weapon development, genetic research, ecological preservation and more. The Hunter's Guild essentially became large enough to control the rights to hunt the rarest creatures in the galaxy. With that said, several of the species under the protection of the Hunter's Guild do need that control.
Most of the Galactic Governments respect the Hunter's Guild's intention to preserve those creatures and as such the Hunter's Guild works closely with those governments in the act of restricting access to them.
There are also some planets closed off from the public that contain creatures that would simply be far too dangerous to take down without risking many lives. The power of the Hunter's Guild means they have a monopoly on the rarest creatures in the Galaxy, however even though the recent cataclysms that have occurred have so far been very limited, the Hunter's Guild sees that there may be a chance that it might threaten everything they have worked towards. Therefore, they too have joined the fight against it.
The Hunter's Guild collective as a selection of planets under the jurisdiction of the Hunter's Guild. Many of these were newly discovered when claimed by the Hunter's guild so their names are temporary until the Hunter's Guild decides to do something about it. These are but a few of those planets:
X-0293 The Hunter's Guild X rating signifies a planet that must be restricted from public access at all costs. Even so, X-0293 is unique in the fact that its species aren't critically endangered, or particularly dangerous, but simply because X-10923 is almost impossible to reach. It resides in a 'dead' star system, all of the stars inside collapsed and became black holes. Going through that sector has only been an option for the extremely desperate. No ships have survived a journey directly inside of it, save for one.
There is a star remaining in that system, and the solitary planet orbiting it is X-0293. A lone starship had been exploring the sector. Not unusual, many adventurous spirits had sought the secrets the system might hold, to find only death awaiting them. This starship however somehow made it through the maze of black holes and found itself on X-0293. They reported that X-0293 was a planet unlike anything they had ever seen. There was lush vegetation with plenty of good fruit to eat, the animals were incredibly docile and could be approached without caution. There were also natural ore nodes on the surface which crumbled to their touch and gave chunks of high purity metal.
As soon as the starship escaped the system, the Hunter's Guild immediately got as much information as they could from them in order to research the planet. They hypothesized that perhaps the solar radiation released by all of the dying stars in the system may have completely eliminated the Planet's natural predators with the star it orbits helping to protect the planet from complete destruction. The only creatures to survive would have been those that could hide underground, and the lack of predators when returning above ground would mean the creatures would evolve without any need of a defensive instinct.
So far attempts to reach the planet again have been completely unsuccessful. The Hunter's Guild has completely restricted access to the sector until they find a safe way to navigate it.
In a way, the planet X-0001 is very similar to X-0293. X-0001 is a solitary planet, the only one in its star system but the stars are all very much alive. Frequent solar storms erupt from them but it's not as impossible to approach as X-0293. Unlike X-0293 however, the surface is completely barren of anything, and there is only one creature on the planet. To survive the constant solar storms the species evolved as their numbers dwindled, and a monstrosity was created as a result. Extremely resilient, it feeds off solar radiation and can use it as a weapon in lazer-like attacks.
The 0001 in its name denotes its priority as a research target. Studying its biology could provide a new way of making lazers so obviously it's gotta be high on the list. But instead of trying to hunt it directly, the Hunter's Guild has instead opted to let it die naturally. There has never been one observed throughout its entire lifespan before and trying to fight it directly might result in catastrophic loss of personnel. It was barred from the public ever since first discovery by the Hunter's Guild and some have requested to at least get a look at Phoenix, but they are always denied.

Name: Steve Thaddeus Somerset Gender: Male Age: 20 years old Position: Ecological Research - Intern
Physical Description:"5 feet 8 inches in height, 52kg, close cropped brown hair, book-ish glasses, average build. Well I say average but I think my Corgi could probably take him down. He has a surprisingly good form with his drop-kick but he doesn't really have any weight so it doesn't really amount to anything. Not really important though because he's just going to be in research." - X-6021 Physical Examination
Reasons for Transferring:"His internship is reaching its final stages right about now. He's proven his skills in the field which are acceptable for our standards so he should be able to work for us as a standard researcher. Now I know that I normally wouldn't request this kind of thing because we can always use extra hands around here, but I mean... he sort of doesn't fit in in the X-6000 branch. I know that sounds mean and all, but every word that comes out of his mouth just makes people stare at him. I guess I should've figured that out from his interview, but still. I'll attach a little bit of that so you know what I'm talking about."
"What is your reason for applying to the Hunter's Guild for your internship?"
"I really don't like warm weather, I want the weather to be cold all year round. But Ice planets are way too much and there's no planet that isn't an ice planet that's winter all year round, so what I want is to have enough money to retire at 40 and travel between four planets throughout the year so that it's winter all year round for me. The Hunter's Guild has the right connections for me to move up quickly so it was my first choice and the only choice I really considered."
"What would you consider to be your greatest achievement to date?"
"Well, once I did calculate that it might be possible to set a whole planet on fire all at once. Normally you'd think it would just start somewhere and the fire at the back would go out eventually as the fire at the front keeps going, but there are a few factors in the terrain and ecology that could change that. A heavily wooded mountain area could catch fire more easily because heat travels upwards, but usually the rains the mountain brings make it a little difficult. The amount of flammable animals also makes a larger impact than some people might assume, because even though they might only feed the fire for a few seconds, millions of animals means millions of seconds... Ah wait. You probably don't need to hear all of it. Let's just say I know how to light a planet on fire."
"And he talks like that every time. While it's not really a bad thing, I just feel he'd do a lot better socially somewhere else. If you guys happen to have a space you could spare, it might provide a good change of scenery for him." - X-6000 Branch Head
Name: Al'Keck Race: Telth Age: 219 Gender:Male Occupation: Mercenary Homeworld: Tambarin Homeworld Description: I highly Inhospitable planet that has a high humidity and is covered in a vast rainforest. With many predators as well the tribal society of the Telth had to adapt, working in hunting parties and focusing on cunning to fight the other larger creatures. This has caused them to form a society strong based on hunting, thus once they joined the galactic races it isn't uncommon for them to become Bounty hunters or mercenaries. Because of this the life span of the Telth is higher then that of most races. Because of the high amount of insects and poisons animal life forms the Telth have devolved a high tolerance to toxins as well.
Telth: The Telth are a mysterious race to many of the galaxy. Though they are advanced and members of the galactic community, they see little value in politics. Still living in a somewhat tribal societies where many tribes govern themselves they have a council to deal with outsides, but for the most part they stay out of galactic affairs. Because life is very hard on there planet they have grown to be fierce warriors and hunters, and have a high fertility rate, the average amount one couple will have is nearly thirty children. Though because of the dangers of their planet children are raised in clusters and never know who there parents are, only who there brothers and sisters are.
This has caused them to also be a quite race, developing a very advanced form of communication using body language and gestures. This causes many to not understand there meaning when they speak in galactic common as they speak much with there bodies and pheromones.
Hunting has even reached into there Religion, less of a deity they worship The Great Hunt and you are judged by the biggest prey that you bring with you after death. They honor all prey, and see each kill as a somewhat of a religious experience. To be called Worthy Prey, is one of the greatest compliments they can give to outsiders.
This however has caused tense relations with other races. But also viable opportunity, though they lack massive fleets of other races, but as mercenaries and bounty hunter they are a high commodity. Many races fearing them as they claim to be the greatest hunters in the galaxy, and weather or not that is true is up for debate. But the simple fact is they are very good at what they do.
Appearance:
Armor/weapons: The GS-106 is a high Caliber long range rifle. Using a magnetic field powered the users power suit. With this high concentrated magnet field it is able to hurl slugs great distances and able to pierce through light vehicle armor. The Scope has several zoom levels and can even change vision modes, night, thermal, ECM and even a mode that is only shows vibrations.
The Stealth Enhanced Environment suit was designed for infiltration and assignation in mind. It's self sustained environment is designed to keep a high humidity even in deserts. The outer layer is made of a micro thin membrane that is able to shift in pattern and color making him able to blend into environments, even the clock able to change as well. The helmet has a built in radio and vision modes the same as his rifle.
For more close range situations Al'Keck Relies on the dual Pistols. Though nothing is to fancy with them as they have laser sights.
For Transportation Al'keck relies on his Fighter, the A'tek Tear. A Versatile craft is is able to be fitted for a multitude of situations. Even having two cryopods built in for when he is required to capture a target alive and transport them. Though it is slightly larger then your average fighter, seeing as it is fitted with an FTL. It also has a Basic AI. This AI allows to pilot itself, though it wouldn't do well in a dog fight, it can allow for hot drops or even extraction while under fire. This also gives it more versatility, as it can operate equipment with out a pilot. (E.G. Fit it for ECM, and it can fly around jamming radar or surveying landscapes.)
Backstory: Like Many Telth, Al'keck was born on his home world. Many believing that being born and raised off planet breeds you to be weak and soft like other races. For the first hundred years of his life he lived and trained on his home world with his cluster. There was over a thousand of them as small children, but by his first century that number was only slightly more then two hundred.
It wasn't long after that he joined the space core. Learning how to pilot and fight as well as use many kind of weapons. It wasn't long after this that he decided venture off away from his home planet. Starting up as a mercenary and bounty hunter. Over the years he even started to make a name for himself. Rising in the ranks, he was eventfully able to by his own ship. Venturing off by himself he wandered the Galaxy selling his skills for profit traveling where ever the job took him. That was until he heard of the planets being destroyed. The call of the Great hunt was on him so he set out to investigate.
