"You don't know how badly I want you to see what I hide under these clothes of mine, but you're gonna have to ear the right."
|In Depth Appearance|They say that great things come in small packages, so they must‘ve been talking about Valerie Isabelle de la Cruz. With her barely-past sixty-five-inch, vertical frame, she doesn't pose any kind of real threat when it comes to first appearances, but don‘t let any of that fool you. Where she lacks in height, Val more than makes up for it in her sultry, slim figure. With a round rump that catches everyone‘s attention to a bust that, to some might be small, she really makes it work for her. With the right body positions and the right kind of bras, Valerie makes everything the good lord gave her work for her in all the right ways. That‘s not even counting the fact of her long, dark brown hair, which have gorgeous highlights to further enhance its beauty, that‘s paired beautifully with a set of hazelnut eyes. The last bit that brings Val around full-circle is the light shade of brown her skin has. Completely flawless and completely beautiful, it shows just where each, individual part of her heritage comes through - even her Italian side is seen through it. Truly, Valerie works with what she was given and then some.
To put Valerie‘s fashion style in mere words would be an insult to not only Valerie herself, but fashion as a whole. There are no words for it. The only thing that could be said is that Valerie has good tastes. Depending on the season and occasions, Val‘s closet could be seen full of elegant dresses and the finest high heels that are crafted by big-named designers. Sometimes her closet has a wide-variety of tops and bottoms. Accessory-wise, she tends to collect brand name items only. Val has a particular liking to shiny accessories, which include but not limited to: diamond rings and earrings, a wide variety of gemstones and other such stones, silk scarves, and many more. When it comes to other…personal items of clothing, Val has always preferred the feel of lace. Well, when it came to her lower body. Nothing complements her natural curves more than silk, especially if it’s a bra. So, overall, Valerie has quite the excessive and extravagant fashion sense, not to mention quite expensive. Any man who lands her better be willing to spend big time on her.
|Scars, Tattoos, Piercings|No scars to really note, but Valerie has many places on her body in which a needle has pierced a hole through. Of course she has her ears pierced. Any teenaged girl who is even half like Val wouldn't go a second after their sweet sixteen to get their ears pierced. But, that‘s not the only part of her body that has a hole in it. She has both nipples pierced, as well as her belly button, and certain private areas that are only for those she deems special to see. Fact is, Valerie doesn't have any shame when it comes to having jewelry lodged in it. She actually quite enjoys it. It makes her feel like she‘s different from certain people. No tattoos, though. She has been meaning to get a few, though.

They say you can learn a lot just by watching someone walk. Well, if that’s true, then simply watching Valerie walk would instantly give anyone the impression that she knows how to wow a crowd with the way her hips rock side-to-side each time she takes a step. They would know that she can command any crowd of people just by the way her posture is. From the way her face makes this sexy yet mysterious expression each time she walks into a room all the way to the way she flips her hair to get the attention of a certain someone shows that Valerie not only has the ability to command a room, but she has the confidence and swagger to back it up. Fact is, if someone were to challenge her on if she could hold her own in some kind of stand off, odds are that Valerie would win.
With all of the confidence that she has within herself and her body and her posture, there comes a certain elitism with it. Such an attitude can also be coupled by her interest in being flirtatious. This is so because, when she’s dressing all fancy and sexy, she often gets the attention of a lot of men — some her age and some older. For the ones her age, she entertains them for a while. Nothing that she wouldn’t be afraid to tell her mother, but nothing prudish, either. When it comes to the older men, however, let’s just say that Valerie likes to play around a bit. If they are of the creepy variety, she enjoys playing a little bit. A girl has to have her fun, right? Well, that’s what she likes to think. Besides, why would a sixteen-year-old actually want to hook up with some old geezer? Like can you say gross? She’s not that kind of girl. Though, Val could get into the idea of someone rather intriguing, and being good-looking isn’t a bad thing to be.
And thus brings us to where Val’s playful side can turn dark and deadly.
It’s true that she likes to play her games and also true that there are certain lines she wouldn’t necessarily cross. Yet, despite that, once in a blue moon, there will come a time where a guy - be he in her age group or over - will catch her eye so much that she will want him all to himself. It doesn’t matter if he’s married, with someone, or simply not interested, she will obsess over him. She will obsess over him so much that she would want to know who they are, what they do for a job, where they live, if they’re single or not, — just about everything about them would be like her drug. Sure, it might seem a bit stalkerish, but she doesn’t see it like that. No, Valerie simply sees it at going for what she wants, no matter the consequences that will follow.
When she gets into this kind of mindset, the dark layers of Valerie are seen. She gets to be unstable at times. Well, probably more like unpredictable. No one knows what she’s going to do when she enters her stalker-bitch mode. She could follow someone everywhere they go, she could attempt crimes like murder or whatever. Seriously, nobody really does know what she’s capable of when she loses all sense of reality. To put it simply, she goes coo-coo for cocoa puffs. God help anyone who gets in the way of what she wants.
People that know about her dark side want to think that she can control it. And sure, maybe there are times where she isn’t in that frame of mind. It’s not like it’s an off and on-switch. It’s not like one minute she’s a materialistic, have-fun-with-boys girl, and the next minute she goes completely delusional — no it’s nothing like that. It’s more like, she obsesses. Hard. So hard that she can’t control it, and looses all sense of what’s right and wrong. It doesn’t mean that Valerie is a bad person. She just needs to have someone to keep her in check. Ya know, just someone to tell her — hey, I know he’s cute and you probably would have lots of fun figuring out who he is, but it’s not right— but she doesn’t. Well, at least not yet. If she found someone like that, then perhaps Valerie wouldn’t be as unstable and unpredictable as most believe her to be. Perhaps if she found someone like that, she would be able to channel all of her obsessive energy into something less dangerous to her own mental well-being.
|History|To say that she comes from a broken home would be technically accurate. Valerie does indeed have family problems that follow the typical scenario of her parents, at some point leaving her and her older sister. Sure, that fits into a cliché scenario, but it wasn’t always like that. For about the first ten years of life, Valerie and her older sister, Adrianna Gabrielle, were raised by their two parents, a one Armando Luis Ricardo Gomez, a construction worker, and their mother, Victoria Evangeline de la Cruz, a nurse.
They lived in Las Vegas, Nevada. They lived about twenty miles west of the Las Vegas Strip. Life, though there was decent money coming in from both parents, was still hard. Armando was abusive and drank a lot. Victoria was afraid of what he might do if she ever stood up to him, so she didn’t. He never raised a hand to his children, but he beat up his wife plenty of times. Some times were worse than others and some times she only got a few punches. Even though that was a blessing of some kind, it still wasn’t good — not by a long shot.
As Valerie rolled around the age of ten, things got pretty bad for her home life. Her father was hardly around. He spent most of his free time at the casinos. That wasn’t all. Valerie always heard her sister and mother fighting about how her father was spending all of their money gambling. It wouldn’t have been bad if he was winning, but he wasn’t. He was losing every time and it got to the point when he was so deep in debt that he borrowed from the wrong people. He was able to pay his debts - and then some. He apparently had money leftover, so he decided to celebrate by doing the same thing that got him into that mess: gambling.
When Armando got rid of that money, he borrowed from the same people. Sure, they gave him more, but this time they wanted him to do something. And sure, he did. The cycle kept on repeating for several weeks. He would gamble, spend, borrow, do things for these people over and over again. It got to the point when Armando was never home. He had quit his job and joined this gang of people he had been borrowing from. That would have been okay with Victoria. Sure she would have been mad that he got them involved in that life and that he quit his job, but they would have been able to manage somehow. It was the fact that, at some point, Armando screwed things up with that gang, and they wanted repayment for all the times he borrowed from them. He, without a single warning, fled. He left his family to deal with whatever he left behind. More specifically, he left all of that on Victoria, and this gang wanted repayment from her. She had nothing to offer, so she gave herself up.
And so that left a seventeen year old Adrianna to look after her ten year old sister, Valerie. With limited money leftover from her mother, Adrianna packed up what little things that her and Valerie had, and bought a bus ticket to LA to move in with their cousin, Alexander. He lived in a similar neighborhood as they did back in Las Vegas. It wasn’t ideal, but it was the best thing that they could do. And for a while, it was a decent living situation. Valerie went to school and Adrianna got a job as a waitress. It was working for a while — well, that’s until Alexander got picked up by Immigration. Granted, this wasn’t until three or four years later, but it still put a damper on their living situation. Adrianna had gotten enough money in savings that she could take over the rent. It was working too, but then the bills started piling up after a while. It got to the point where Adrianna had to think of alternative ways of getting money.
One day at her job, a man approached her about possibly modeling. Adrianna, being highly attractive, thought it was worth a shot. Turned out that the modeling gig was actually being a cam model. Still, not the worst thing she heard getting offered. So, she took the gig. It paid reasonably, and it got them into a better neighborhood. So, she wasn’t complaining.
Adrianna tried to keep what she did from Valerie as much as she could, but soon her little sister found out, and Valerie wasn’t mad - not one bit. She understood that Adri had to do what she had to do for the money. And besides, it got them out of that crummy neighborhood, so why would she complain? However, as the next two years came up, Adrianna soon realized that Val knowing about what she did started to affect her. Val started hanging out with the wrong crowds, coming in late, and having clothing that was too rich for the allowance that she was getting from Adrianna. When asked about it, Val simply said that friends bought it for her. Adrianna didn’t buy it one bit, but she let the subject die.
Well, that was until something happened that would cause Adrianna to worry.
When Valerie came home one time, she was all bruised, her clothing was ripped, and she could see it in her sister’s eyes that something really bad had happened. When she asked, Valerie couldn’t answer. She knew that her sister had been sexually assaulted. Even worse than that, Valerie looked as though it had been going on for a while, but because she was always coming in late and went to her room, Adrianna didn’t notice it.
After Val was able to see a doctor and get a rape kit done, Adrianna knew that they weren’t safe, so, like in Las Vegas, she got all of their stuff packed, and hopped into her car. Just at sixteen and Adrianna at twenty-seven, they drove for north. They had an uncle and aunt in a small town in Washington. Verona, if Adrianna was right. They should be safe there, or so Adrianna prays they will be.
|Family|Armando Luis Ricardo Gomez | Father | 54 | Former Construction Worker | Unknown Whereabouts
Valerie nor Adrianna know where Armando is at - and good riddence. As far as their concerned, they have no father.
Victoria Evangeline de la Cruz | Mother | 45 | Former Nurse, Current Occupation Unknown | In Las Vegas
Because of Armando's doing, Victoria was forced to stay back and pay his debt. According to recent emails, she is still paying them off. Last Val and Adri last heard, she is working at some gas station. She tries to call and email them as often as she can.
Adrianna Gabrielle de la Cruz | Older Sister | 27 | Former Cam Model
Not only was Adri Val's main care provider for the majority of her life, but she's also her best friend. These two are probably the closest that any siblings could be. Sure, they have their moments when they fight, but they really do love each other. Val wouldn't know where she would be without her older sister - and the same goes for Adri to Val.
Jesse Lorenzo Gomez | Uncle | 46 | Assistant Manager at Simonè's Cafe
Brother to Armando, Jesse has no similarities with his older brother past the relation. He and his family live in Copper Hill.
Angelina Ariana (nee-Aguilar) Gomez | Aunt | 42 | Lawyer
Wife to Jesse and mother to Carlos, Angelina works as a Civil Liberties Lawyer for the town of Verona. Her boss — and main source of her income — is based out of Seattle. She is a loving and caring woman, but gets rather temperamental when dealing with certain people within the legal system. She doesn't really like the Verona Police Chief.
Carlos Gomez | Cousin | 15 | Student at Lincoln Memorial High
|Theme Song|Hands to Myself — Selena Gomez”Can't keep my hands to myself;
No matter how hard I'm trying to,
I want you all to myself;
Your metaphorical gin and juice.”
"Do you feel that? The beat and rhythm around us? Oh, we are going to have some fun tonight."
|Power Name|Energy Wave Emission, also called Energy Pulse Emission
|Power Description|Energy Wave Emission gives Valerie the ability to send out waves of pure energy(her's is uniquely pink) at
|Abilities|When Valerie first found out that she had this ability, it was all new to her. She didn’t know what it was. All she knew is that, before she knew it, there was a radiant, pink energy being expelled from her hands and other parts of her body. They came in various sizes and shapes. It started as a simple, linear beam, even that was enough to crush solid rock. However, the more she found herself …experimenting with it, she found she was able to do so much more. She found out that the ability she had inside her was much more flexible. She was able to release it in much more than just a wave. She could send pulses of energy, rings, spirals, balls(current max is five basketball-shaped orbs), and destructive bursts of energy.
Along with the ability to create various forms of her pink energy, she can further manipulate to reach nearly 360 degrees. It may not be quite exact, but Valerie is able to send this pink energy in almost a complete circle to reach those that wish to harm her. The way she does this is that Val charges up, and unleashes it by attempting to spin her body. The form it takes is quite similar to Satturn’s rings in that meaning it has a row of three individual parts that are about three inches tall with two inches in-between each section, giving its total height, vertically, of fifteen inches. Depending on the amount of energy put into each try, it could either wipe out a few rows of solid rock or one brick wall.
Though a work-in-progress, Valerie has been able to tap into the area of life energy to gain basic healing-esque powers. Of course, with this being untested and unproven for Valerie to be able to do it effectively, one could only make an educated guess on whether or not if she could actually heal mortal wounds. At best, she probably heal mild wounds, but even that’s a shoddy guess.
|Drawbacks/Weaknesses|With such a power at her disposal, there are some obvious drawbacks in using it. Take the base form of the ability of using energy in various forms. Sure, it‘s an effective power when dealing with either singular obstacles or even multiple obstacles, but there‘s a limit to how much energy Valerie can unleash as well as how much time she could continuously use it. Though she hasn‘t exactly reached her maximum limits, there seems to be an area of five minutes of on-and-off use where fatigue starts to kick in. She also found that her energy blasts could get deflected, especially when fired at reflective surfaced like mirrors and other glass-based objects.
When it comes to her omnidirectional-wave sub-ability, Val has a rather impressive range. As tested by Val herself, it was measured by her own doing that she has a sixteen and a half feet radius. She has yet to master the circumference. Added to that, her waves are only as stable as her own state of mind is. Given that she‘s currently on the fringes of madness, there‘s a chance that she might do more harm than good. If anyone is on her side, might be best to be wary of your position. Get at least seventeen feet away way, and you should be in safe distance.
So many things that are limited and weakened when it comes to Valerie‘s work-in-progress, sub-ability of using life energy to heal(either herself or others). Because of that reason, it takes an incredible amount of her energy reserves to even heal the most basic of wounds. Added to the fact that she has to output more than usual just to have a chance of healing, there also comes a certain risk. Because she doesn‘t have a very stable mind, Val runs the risk of confusing the use of someone else‘s life energy and using her life force energy to heal. To heal, one needs perfect stability in their own mind so they can focus and concentrate on the matter at hand. Simply because she doesn‘t, Val wouldn‘t be in her right mind to be the one to heal. Like stated, it‘s very much a work in-progress.
"I hope you had as much fun as I did, baby. Oh, how I'm going to treat you so good — you're never gonna forget me, that much I can promise you. Until then, baby."
