Personality: Strong in both physicality and spirit, Takken is fiercely loyal of his friends and family. As with most lycanthropes, he is known to be particularly stubborn, and also quite explosive in an argument, making rash and sometimes questionable decisions, and stands by those decisions a majority of the time, even if they do backfire in his face. Takken is aware that he is not the smartest member of most groups, but is not stupid by any stretch of the imagination, as such he's content to stand in the background, preferring to be a beta rather than an alpha. This does not mean, however, that he does not voice his opinion - if he feels strongly on a subject, or disagrees with a plan, he will let that be known. Takken is also quick to judge people, and that coupled with his stubborn nature makes him difficult to win over if a poor first impression is made.
History: Born and raised on Batillus in one of the great roving packs, Takken was the eldest son of the pack's alpha, and as such a lot of responsibilities and expectations were thrust on him from a young age. Shortly after his thirteenth name day, he led his first hunt, which was a failure. As a result of his failure, the pack went unfed for a week until a new hunt was organised. Takken accompanied this hunt, but did not lead another for several months, time he used to study the hunting tactics of the more experienced members of the pack, until the point he was confident he could replicate their success, which he did many times.
When he was sixteen, a great meet was called, and the thirty-seven great packs all travelled to the only city and capital of the continent, Gealach. The meet had been called for the alphas to find the next sage, following the recent death of the last sage. Each alpha presented the best fighter their pack had to offer, and Takken's father selected him.
What followed was three weeks of intense training in the arts of fire, amongst the other thirty-six selected hopefuls, overseen by a group known as the Seers, whilst their thirty-seven packs returned to their nomadic ways across the plains and forests of the continent. Throughout the three weeks, one by one the other hopefuls disappeared, until there were only twelve left by the end of the third week.
At the end of the third week, the Seers called the twelve remaining hopefuls to the training ground, and told them that the others had been sent back to their packs, as they were not sufficient, and had brought shame to their families and packs in doing so. The twelve remaining hopefuls were then instructed to fight to the death, using the element of fire. Whilst the other lycanthrope hopefuls attempted to using their few weeks of training to defeat one another, Takken took a different approach. He took a two-handed greatsword from one of the barrels of weapons, and knocked over an unlit standing torch, picking up its oil pot and pouring it over the blade of the sword, before using his newly learnt powers to ignite the blade.
Having only had three weeks of training, all twelve hopefuls, including Takken, struggled to create more than a small flame, meaning the others had little chance of stopping him using only their powers as he cut them down one by one. Several of them attempted to flee, but with a heavy heart he dispatched of them too. He knew it wrong to kill a fleeing opponent, but it was also a necessity, he would not bring dishonour to his family.
When the others were all dead, Takken turned to the seers, laid his burning sword on the ground and stood before them. They did not applaud, they did not praise or scold him. They understood as well as he, that what had happened was necessity, nothing more and nothing less. It was they who trained him in the arts of controlling fire for the next four years, until he was twenty, when he began learning of the other elements alongside his fire techniques. By the age of twenty-three he was superior to even the Seers in his control over the element of fire, and was securing a strong grasp over the other five elements, skills he continued to train for the next two years, until the event...

- Cannot control his transformations when his emotions are heated
- Due to the blood composition of his race, silver bonds better to their red blood cells than oxygen does, and results in blood clots as red blood cells cluster together, so silver breaking his skin is incredibly dangerous.
