@Evangaline I'm pretty much always accepting @rechonq your back story is a little confusing. No one is going to randomly leave a swords with a kid. Also how strong is he? He sounds a little OP.
@KatherinWinter The first guy didn't care enough to take it at that time and he defended it from then on. No one had the chance to take it after that.
He is a decent swordsman, but his powers basically lie in being able to take a hit. He is OP if his opponent relies on curses so he would be good at fighting demons. I have been calling it runic magic, but after searching on the wiki I think it would be appropriate to call it letter magic. So he would be strong against Levy. His skills aren't that great, so if he got into a fight with Natsu or Erza, he would get blown away a lot, but it would take a lot to get him to stop coming back. I was hoping to make a character who didn't really have much offensive power, but a lot of defensive power. Almost the same stregnth as Natsu I guess, but in the fact that he could get beat up enough to tire out Natsu, who is trying to beat Crane up. Natsu would end up tired out and Crane would finally have been hurt if Natsu went so far. So he's sort of supposed to be an anti-support tank. I like the idea of demon slayers from Fairy Tail a lot.
I had been wanting Grey to have demon slaying magic since the arc with first demon that was almost revived. It made me really happy when they finally incorporated it.
I was trying to figure out how he could have strictly demon slaying magic that wasn't specific to anything like light demon slaying magic or water demon slaying magic, just demon slayer magic. Thats why I chose anti curse and anti letter magic and seals. Demons use curses, I thought letter magic would be used to summon them or something along that line, and seals are for sealing demons. Would saying he can cut through anything using glyphs in the magic be to strong?
If that sounds too confusing or OP then I'll figure out a way to change it.
@KatherinWinter But according to the Fairy Tail lore they work differently. Also, someone correct me iff I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure only demons use curses as well. If not it's very rare for anyone else to use curses.
I also just read that curses run off of negative human emotion, like greed, envy, and hatred, while magic runs off of positive human emotions. So that is how they differ and only demons can use curses.
@KatherinWinter Ok, I will try to make sure it doesn't seem to OP. I might PM you on some things to make sure that they're ok before I post. Sorry if I was a pain, and thanks I'm really looking forward to this. =))
@pkken Ok, I wasn't planning on having Crane use curse power.
Actually what does Grey's demon slayer magic do for him? As we discussed this I realized I didn't actually know if it did anything special or just made his ice magic stronger.
Edit; Evidently it's called Devil Slayer magic. And they can resist Curses by spreading darkness across their bodies, which makes them part demon.
@rechonq@pkken fairytail.wikia.com/wiki/Devil_Slayer_.. Just read this if either of you two are getting all confused over devil slayer magic. It's Essentially the same as God slayer and Dragon slayer just demon/devil related.
Power: Tier Two: Body Restriction Guild: Raven Tail
Symbol color and location: Deep emerald. On her neck on the side she places her mask on when it’s not covering her face.
Bio: Her mother was in the guild but abandoned her to the guild when she was born, going on a quest and never came back. Her father is unknown. Rumors that he’s a criminal. Amai uses her power selectively, very subtle. She uses her sword, but when she knows she’s at a disadvantage she’ll use body restriction to hinder her opponent's limb enough to slow the action down. She hides half her face behind a mask because of a mark that reminds her of her father. A similar birthmark said as her father.
She’s protective over others, especially those close to her. Her reserved nature makes you think otherwise.
