Atticus hums and places his left hand behind his own neck before he tilted his head to the right, then to the left, a loud popping coming from both instances. "Yeah, I'm pretty okay. I think I bumped the back of my head more than anything, but I'll live." he says before realizing his jacket was literally burnt to ashes. Oh well. "You doing alright? Looks like you got thrown for a loop too." he asked before looking around. "...And where the hell did Megan go?"

Loki shrugs and nods. "I'm okay...I got freaked out a bit...other then that I'm good" he looks around. "I don't know where Megan went....maybe she'll turn up at the assembly thing" not really thinking that she could be hurt badly. He's a bit glad he got away with skipping the health exam...or so he thinks...since his blood is rather odd and a few other things. Normality is definitly not in his genes.

The figure muttered the name under their breath as they looked over the clipboard. "Ah. We're missing a couple, then. No matter, I'll do something 'bout it later." Hopping off the stool, they walked over to another part of the room and placed the clipboard down to put on a pair of gloves. "So, not much to be done here. Just simple stuff, make sure you're reasonably healthy, answer questions, get information regarding health concerns...policy says we gotta do a blood test, but eh. That's probably the worst of it. The rest isn't much different from a regular school health checkup, if you've had those. Anything you wanna get out there now? Or should I just get run through the assigned process?"

The girl took leave of the room as calmly as possible. No matter what any of that was supposed to mean, it wasn't a big deal. That could have been any point in the future, from the next day to twenty years later.

...Though she hoped it wasn't either. She needed to get to that door.

She knew what was there.

Having entered the next room, she was greeted by the plump woman inside the same way others before her had been and sat down quietly. There was nothing to be afraid of today, just a regular health exam...

"Ah...I can't believe we got another one on the first day...we never seem to get through this easily, do we?"

The rabbit-eared man slumped a little as he looked over at the girl tossed onto the bed. At least she was in what was probably a little more comfortable of a position now, but this wasn't even supposed to be his job. He was just an assistant healer sent here while the head nurse was busy. He was done with health exams for the new students, anyway, so he was free. At least he wasn't completely lost on what to do.

"I know we keep the smelling salts around here somewhere...we just had a training meeting for equipment...I guess I'll get some water, too..."

After nearly all the students had finally made it through their screenings, another announcement played across the room in the same voice as the ones before. "Students of Arcana, we are pleased to announce that you may now head to the auditorium if you have finished your testing. If you have not been tested yet, we shall try to get you through the process quickly before sending you there. The first announcements of the year will take place in just a short while. Again, all students who have finished their testing must go to the auditorium. Seating is to be followed as such:

All first years are to fill the first and second rows.
Second years to the third and fourth rows.
Third years to the sixth and seventh rows.
Fourth years to the eighth row.
All teachers are also requested to join the fourth years in row 8.

Thank you, and have a nice orientation."

Cody heard the announcement as he was wandering into the auditorium. It would seem he was in the right place then, and he chuckled to himself that he may be one of the first here.
Of course he was wrong, most of the first row was filled. Cody just grumbled under his breath and joined the end of row 1.

Atticus nodded and, after listening to the announcement finish, was pretty sure that Megan would be there as well. After all, that's where...well..EVERYONE should have been going. Logic had to follow in some way, he supposed. "Well, anyway, we better get going to that ourselves, don't you think? Last thing we need is the first day to go any...well...worse, I guess." he said before heading off to the assembly to find his seat in the front row. Up until someone behind complained and he moved back a row. At least now...some people could see. He guessed. "Sometimes I hate being tall..." he lamented to himself, slouching forward a bit to make sure everyone could see, almost breathing down someone's neck.

Loki nods and follows him. He is slowed down though by a wave of students. He is almost there, but quite a bit behind Atticus who is already seated. Frustration clear on his face

Cicile followed the person's movements and listens closely. "I dont mind to start with that. I'm not that familiar with health tests." She replayed honestly. It could not be any worse than getting a knife at you by your own towns people and family. So to start with the painfulst thing wouldn't be so bad. Cicile looked at the person and waited for them to tell her what she needed to do.

The nurse nodded before returning to the student's side with the necessary tools. "Alright, let's get it done, then. Just sit still for a moment, it shouldn't be a big deal..."

"...that's done. Not bad, right? That's a tiny mark, so it'll heal up in no time. The bandage is my own design, too, so it'll probably go faster. Probably." As soon as they had cleaned up the materials and washed their hands, the nurse flicked a hand at the clipboard and scribbled a few notes. "Now, I'm almost ready to let you go, but if you have any last minute concerns, now's the time for 'em. Not the last chance forever, but things get busy on days like today."

Cicile didn't felt much of it. She watched the nurse writing down some lines. Cicile thought a little while about some questions to askthe nurse but couldn't think of anything. "I don't have anything to ask or things that the school should know." She said

"Whoops! That's no good, is it? That could have been an accident right there~." Behind the frustrated student, the yellow-robed figure stopped a few books in midair and called them back to his hand, one of them having been their preoccupying entertainment from the wait between students. "I must apologize for my poor timing, Young Sir. I admit that I was perhaps a bit preoccupied~. I hope that I did not startle you with that small bump."

At a standing height now, he was perhaps just under six feet himself and the robes hung off in several folds, almost as if they had only just enough of a surface to cling to. Though his face remained mostly obscured as it had previously that morning, the small grin on his face would be quite visible from below. Of course, the cheerful tone of his voice could relay practically the same information even without any visibility.

The figure stopped for a moment as he stared at the boy, almost as if examining him a bit closer somehow despite the obstruction of the robes.
"Hmm? Something seems rather... like I had something to say? I'm certain it was for another student, but perhaps you should hear as well. I'm sure there's a reason for it."
Reaching into the brightly-colored folds in the robe, the man pulled out a small bottle of a swirling, almost gaseous fluid. Though the ever-changing earthy colors coupled with the odd form probably didn't match it at all, the label read 'smelling salts'.
"There's someone who needs this. I can't imagine how it ended up in my office, but perhaps it was meant for you to return. Surely you know where something like this goes? It's for emergencies, as you can see. I'll be glad to vouch for your absence if you return it."

Soph heard a distant announcement from under her tree, she perked up to try and hear it better.

The announcement then began to list the seating order just as Soph began to stand. First years were to go to the first and second rows, the closest to the stage. She walked rather hastily over to the auditorium hoping that there were a few good seats left.

Once she arrived, she saw that many of the students were already present and that the first row was mostly filled already. Thankfully the second row still had some seats left. She looked around, searching for people she knew. Already having spotted Atticus, it was kind of easy to spot him. After a second, she saw Loki, with frustration clearly seen on his face. She guessed his annoyance stemmed from the horde of students still standing and chatting, looking for seats. She dived into the wave of students, pushing and body-checking other students to get to him, then she went to grab him by his sleeve. She gave him a small smile and motioned with her head that there was a seat open next to Atticus. She made her way towards the second row, paving a path through the mass of bodies for Loki. Once there, she asked the students to move over for her and Loki, with a smile on her face. The students moved over a seat, giving Soph and Loki both seats near Atticus.

Loki blinks at the yellow robed guy but nods. "Uh.....sure" he stares at the bottle for a moment. Maybe the nurse...? He did say emergencies. "Yea ill take it." Wonders if the stuff is really smelling salts or something completly different. He's leaning toward different.
