Apologies for the delays - I am still here and writing.

I think what I'll do is post up the barebones of what I've done when it's finished and then flesh out specific details (army divisions and who commands them etc) later so as to keep the ball rolling.

I have put thought to closing this role-play.

I'll be able to get my sheets up tonight if that changes things (I had to drop via hospital last night to check in on my dad) - might it be helpful to bump the interest check and see if that garners more attention?

I've been waiting for another player before going ic.

I have been working on a sheet but I've been somewhat slow with my progress. Are we looking at trying to keep it open?

Due to renewed interest to by parties, I will elect not to close down the thread. However I sold look forward to more applications and increased publicity so that we don't have the threat of closure due to lack of knowledge of this roleplay. I have been happy to get the support that we have gotten already, and would like to see this thread go places.

A minigun which shoots black holes is actually kinda possible. It's about on par with the scientific possibility of creating particle accelerators which shoot neutral particles. Doesn't mean it's worth the effort, though. Or it would be an effective weapon at such small scale. (An anti-starship weapon which shoots decaying micro-blackholes? Now, that's something you can work with.)

Anyways, my question is that how rigid scientific adherence we're talking about?
Reading the sole posted NS it doesn't look anything dangerously tight, though. Nanomachines like that are borderline soft science.

Just noting that in retrospect maybe I have nothing to worry about to begin with.

Unfortunately, this role play while although nothing was wrong with it's presentation, or premise. Simply did not gain enough popularity, or applications, and slowly began to crumble away into nothing.

It is with immense regret that I inform you who vested interest or began application, that I close down this role play due to the fact it simply wont get the potential to start. That is not to say there isn't a future ahead where I may remake it, or attempt to revive it, so your applications are still good, and I urge you to grow and develop on them so when the time comes you are ready to pop right into role play.

It's disappointing because I had such high hopes for this role play, and vested so much time a and effort into it's backstory over the years, and hope to finally accumulate all that lore into one final role play.

Hope for a RP success lasts only as long as the gm's does. Once he feels it is dead then it is.

Although if you will be opening it back up once there is enough interest (tbh we only need 3 active players for this to work. In the RP I'm I'm on roleplay nation that's very similar we have been going for a few months with 3 active players plus a decently active gm)

My mission to anyone who wants to see this succeed in a second format. I will be adding much more additional lore that's open and not to be discovered. (There is actually a lot, like a LOT). So if you're in the mood to get this done.

I have interest and quite a few kinds of esoteric alie civilization to experiment with. Small housecat sized aliens (they aren't cat people. That's just their size. I mention this because I know there's people on this site whose idea of a space universe consists of space elves, furry aliens, greys and people who have a goofy face) with Escher inspired architecture perhaps?

Some questions:

-When it comes to defining chemistry, does this essentially boil down to stating something like "they have a biochemistry suited for a chlorine heavy atmosphere" or "their DNA is right handed instead of left handed and have food that is universally toxic to humans" or "Living on the fringes of star systems, they utilize a liquid helium solvent"? Do factors like what gas they breathe or if they like of chemosynthesis instead of photosynthetic agriculture factor into that section?

-Can it be assumed that life with earth-like conditions has edible food half the time (due to handedness)? (Or basically aliens who have a chemical basis on a world like earth with water, oxygen producing autotrophs/Cyanobacteria & 'yellow' (as opposses to red from the plebeian (red dwarf) stars) light?). I ask this because I know there's people who believe that DNA languages will be as diverse as spoken or computer languages. However space opera demands more personal interract with denizens of the galaxy and it's hard to have personal interaction when all the life is toxic to each other. Not to mention space operas tend to be human-centric and chauvinism for our own biochemistry is pretty much inevitable (gives us more food options too).

-What is the setup exactly? Is this going to be like Babylon 5 with more alien denizens about the Galaxy or are things considerably more "anarchic" per say (i.e. No space UNs)?

-Is there a map? If galactic which Galaxy map are we using? I have a vector Galaxy map I can send to you if you have illustrator.

-What FTL system is involved? Is it a worm hole network? Is there hyperspace? Or is it Star Trek warp drives?

NRP needs a space opera that isn't a half-baked PoS. I'm in as long as we can move through the planning stages and get to IC quickly.
