"Our stories use to be so simple. We had a beginning, a middle, and a end... But ever since we moved to this damned city everything has gotten so confused."
This RP is about the lives of the fairytale characters we all read about growing up and the struggles and hardships their nearly eternal lives have fallen on ever since they had to come to the mundane world, our world. We will play as the residents of the small community called Fabletown which is secretly nestled in the great city of New York. You have the choice of playing as a canon character like Bigby, Snow, Beauty, Beast etc. And as this RP takes place around the same time as the Wolf Among Us did, all the characters that died over the course of the game and comics are currently alive. You can also use Fables that weren't in the game or comics, either already known fairytale characters who just happen to not be in the game or comics or ones you made up yourself. This RP is based on the game and comics, but that does not mean it is the same. As in the characters may be the same, but the events that happened in the comics and game may change or not happen altogether. But that is enough of that it is time to move on to the fun part, yes that's right kids it's time for... *drum roll* The Rules!
The Rules: 1. First off the time honored one for all RPs, no godmodding or powerplaying. If there are fights in the IC, and I hope there are, just try not to be like the kid on the play ground that says "You didn't hit me because of my super-duper-nothing-can-break shield was on!" 2. This one goes hand in hand with the first rule. When you are making a character don't go over board, as in being the Big Bad Wolf is one thing but being the Grim Reaper and embodiment of death is a whole other thing. Trust me it has happened before. 3. I don't mind drama in the IC, it's suppose to be there, but let's keep it out of the OOC, good vibes only dudes and dudettes 4. PG-13 guys, that goes for romance and fighting. No all out bloods baths in the IC and keep the serious romance in the PMs 5. Let us know if you're going to be gone for more than a day or so, I don't mind it just keeps people from being stuck in post lock 6. Put Once upon a time somewhere in your CS to show you read the rules 7. My Co-GM spot for this RP is currently open, if you are interested in the position I would be more than happy if you asked for it. 8. Feel free to shoot any of your ideas at me at any time I don't mind at all :) 9. Have fun!

Lore- Once upon a time all the magical fairy tale characters we grew up reading about, from the fairest Sleeping Beauty to the dastardly Headless Horseman, lived in their equally magical worlds called the Homelands. They all lived their happily ever afters in the Homelands, though in some cases not so happy ever afters, until one day a monstrous being named the Adversary began to conquer their worlds with it's massive army of monsters. As the Adversary took control of more and more of the Homelands his army only grew and became more powerful, destroying or forcing whole kingdoms to join him. Those of whom who managed to escape the Adversary's grasp began looking for somewhere safe to live. Rumors of a sanctuary world began to circulate. The sanctuary world was the Mundy world, our world, where no true magic existed. The refugees who made it to the Mundy world founded a community that they called Fabletown in the 1600s at a spot north of New Amsterdam, the location of present day New York. King Cole, the king known from the Old King Cole nursery rhyme, was elected almost unanimously as their first mayor and served for many years. The Fabletown Compact was the founding document of Fabletown. Every citizen must sign it and under the compact amnesty is granted for all crimes committed in the past, including murder. The only person to be stricken from the compact is Hansel. To help manage and protect the fairy tale characters of Fabletown Snow White, the assistant to the Deputy mayor Ichabod Crane, tracked down the monster wolf known as The Big Bad Wolf and offered him the job as the community's protector, but only if he would be willing to take human form. The wolf accepted, took the name Bigby and the role as the town's sheriff. As the city spread, the fables had to establish The Farm for fables that can't pass as human. Eventually, the entire community was absorbed into New York. The main building of Fabletown is the Woodland apartments, it serves as housing for many of the community's fairy tale characters and is where both the mayor's office and sheriff office is.
What are the Homelands?- The Homelands are a diverse collection of worlds that were the homes to every known Fable. Each type of Fable, Germanic, Arabian, English, etc., has a unique world that houses all of the legends of that culture. There also exist magical gateways that link one world to another.
What is a Fable?- A Fable is what the fairy tale characters and creatures of the Fabletown community call themselves. Fables, unlike normal people, don't age. They tend to stay the same age as they were in their stories, such as Pinocchio stays a small boy and King Cole stays in what appears to be his 50s. Fables are also much more durable than humans, they can take a beating that would kill normal person and keep going.
What is a Mundy?- Mundy is what Fables call normal people and anything that has to do with the normal people's world, it is a shorten nickname for mundane.
What is a Glamor?- A Glamor is a form of spell used to disguise the appearnce a Fable who does not look human naturally or can't do so on their own. Glamors are provided by the witches and warlocks that live on the 13th floor of the Woodlands, though like all of their spells they are expensive.
What is the Farm?- The farm is the up state branch of Fabletown where all of the Fables who can't appear human and can't afford a Glamor are sent to live. Though it is not a prison none of the nonhuman residents are aloud to leave with out a glamor, which means most can't leave. Though there is one exception to this rule in the case of the flying monkey Bufkin, but he stays in the Woodlands 24/7. One of the rules of the farm is that Bigby is forbidden from ever setting foot on it's grounds because he ate many an animal Fable back in the Homelands.
Rule number one for a Fable- The golden rule for all Fables is that they do not exist. They have to do everything in their power to make sure no Mundy finds out about their existence, many dark deeds have happened to keep this a secret.
What is the Fabletown Compact?- The Fabletown compact is the document all residents of Fabletown, whether they live in Fabletown, the farm, or any where else. It erases all the crimes one committed in the Homelands, such as witches cooking kids or giants crushing whole villages.

EDIT
Character sheet:
Peter Pan
"Second star to the right, and straight on till morning."
Race: Fable
Gender: Male
Job: Waiter at Branstock Tavern
Personality:
Peter is an exaggerated stereotype of a boastful and careless boy. He claims greatness, even when such claims are questionable. He has a nonchalant, devil-may-care attitude, and is fearlessly cocky when it comes to putting himself in danger. Although he is careless, he never forgets to be kind. Always the savior, Peter will help anyone in need; even if it has severe consequences, He's not really accustomed to life in Fabletown. Few people can hope to match his stubbornness, he absolutely refuses to grow up and won't listen to anyone who tells him otherwise. In addition to that, he dislikes anyone with a glowing maturity. This probably stems from his very outward sense of humor.
Fable:
Pre-Fabletown:
A mischievous boy who can fly and never grows up, Peter Pan spends his never-ending childhood having adventures on the small island of Neverland as the leader of his gang, the Lost Boys, interacting with mermaids, Native Americans, fairies, pirates, and occasionally ordinary children from the world outside Neverland.
Post-Fabletown:
The Adversary tried to take Neverland, but that was something he could never have. You see Neverland is more of an idea than an actual thing, it's imagination incarnate. The best the Adversary could do was force Peter to withdraw from Neverland and join the refugees. However Neverland itself is safe, but not safe to enter until a point where the Adversary is gone. In Fabletown Peter is a waiter at a local tavern, taking the role of class clown around the workplace. His below average pay allows him a suite in the Woodland's Apartments. Most of his neighbors dislike him because of the noise he causes often late at night, he is still a boy at heart.
Abilities: Peter can fly, and he has the power of immortality; meaning he never grows up. In addition to that he knows he way around a sword.
@Minato Namikaze Seems like a great character, as long as you mean eternal youth by immortality then you should be good to go. And if you are sure you want the position then it is yours =)
Appearance: Like most people who reach a rather advanced age Yen Sid is a rather wrinkly looking old man, his once sharp face now droopy and tired looking like the rest of his body. He sports a thick gray beard alongside his practically now bald head. Despite his otherwise worn out appearance he still has somehow managed to keep a set of catching emerald green eyes that twinkle with youthful mischievousness. Due to his older age he walks with a permanent hunch which makes him appear as if he is a mere 5'5”.
Job: Although he has no actual “job” Yen Sid is one of the most powerful thirteenth floor wizards-unfortunately a short time after he and Mickey made their way to the mundee world known as Earth he began to suffer from dementia, a condition that has caused him to become be a laughing stock among the few witches and wizards that reside in Fabletown. Despite his less then stellar status Yen Sid is known to randomly hand out glamors and perform other feats of magic for the lower class population of Fable Town (well, anyone really-its rather random.)
His few and random spouts of clarity are poured into his project “to take back the homelands”-the specifics of which are completely unknown as he works within a private magical workspace that resides between various plains of existence.
Personality: Cooky. Odd. Smart. Mischievous. The four words perfectly sum up Yen Sid, a man who was considered odd and goofy within the magic community well before he went batshit crazy. He has never lost his genuine, almost granfatherly like, kindness-a fact that makes his deteriorating condition only worse.
Fable: Hailing from the realm of The Magic Kingdom Yen Sid held the title of Grand Wizard Master for what had seemed like an eternity-a royal title bestowed to the Kings personal court mage. Ever sense coming to the Mundee world Yen Sid has devoted his life to developing some sort of ultimate weapon or master curse (no one really knows what) to destroy the Adversary once and for all.
Abilities: Like many of the other thirteenth floor men and women of high repute Yen Sid has mastered various forms of magic. He has actually forgotten more about magic then most people will ever hope to learn and is still one of the more powerful mages-in rare moments of clarity he can truly become a force to be reckoned with.
Other: N/A for now. Once upon a time he caught a scruffy looking half starved boy in his vast libraries. The animal of a child poured over his books as if they were a five course meal-Yen was shocked the street urchin could even read. The poor boy practically jumped out of his skin as Yen made himself known with a slight, clearly forced, cough. “I see you've found the books on physical body transmutation. Fascinating subject really-oh to be young and fly as a bird, or howl at the moon as a wolf.” Yen briefly seemed lost in thought, his emerald eyes staring off into the distance as he recalled some favorable memories. The boy just stood glued to his seat while wearing a terrified expression-no doubt thinking of all the horror stories associated with most witches and warlocks.
&
Name: In the homelands he was born into a situation where he never truly got to know his parents and likewise never received an official name, most often times being refereed to as “mouse” by fellow street children due to his tiny features and large front teeth. That was until he met his famed magical teacher, an arcane Master known as Yen Sid, who eventually gave the boy a strong name with ancient meaning-Muhkee.
His Mundee drivers license reads “Mickey D. Mouse”
Nickname: Mickey is one of those people whom others just love to nickname for some reason-Mic & Mouse being the two most common ways he is referred to among other Fables.
Race: Human, Wizard
Gender: Male
Appearance: Perhaps one of the best ways to describe Mickey is as a very finely featured man with a medium build; ironically his sharp facial features being juxtaposed by his seemingly unblemished skin and cleanly shaven face. Despite his boyish good looks he still somehow manages to give off of a somewhat dangerous vibe: a fact that would make more sense to most people if they knew that the truth of the matter was his magic is what keeps his face looking so good and completely scar and wrinkle free. He stands at about 5'11” and weighs just under 190 pounds.
Job: Mickeys serious full time job is taking care of the now senile Yen Sid who lives on the thirteenth floor. He is also known to moonlight as a magician in the Mundy world outside of fabletown-although Bigby has been on him to quit doing this.
Personality: Mickey suffers from a chronic case of “having to prove ones self”-whether that is chugging more beers then the woodsman down at the Yellowbrick Roadhouse or showing off his arcane prowess he truly cant resist the urge of a challenge-both spoken and unspoken. He is a rather street smart individual-whether surviving in the slums of the Magic Kingdom or navigating his way through New York he seems to have a nack for not only blending in to his surroundings but being rather charming when he so chooses. He is known to hold a grudge and has a slight temper-the more he is told not to do something the more he desires to do said thing.
Fable: Through a string of events Mickey was able to become the apprentice to one of the most powerful wizards within his realm, The Magic Kingdom, and studied beneath the man for years. As the Adversarys forces began to waylay The Magic Kindom it didn't take long for the entire realm to realize all was lost-a mast exodus taking place as everyone that could get somewhere safe (often through portals to other worlds) did their best to do so. During this time Yen Sid, Mickeys Master, did his best to use his vast knowledge of the arcane arts to save all those in The Magic Kindom that he could-he and Mickey being the last two to leave their ruined homelands. It actually took them several years to find out there were other fables that had journeyed to the same world as them.
Abilities: Being trained under Yen Sid Mickey has learned several magical tricks that have come in rather handy throughout his vast adventures. Mostly he specializes in:
Elementalist: Although not a master years of practice have allowed Mickey to become somewhat skilled in the basic arts of matter manipulation-more specifically ice and electricity are his bread and butter.
Shape shifting: The first spells Mickey ever truly understood were those that allowed him to alter his form-the one catch being he can only turn into other living creatures.
@Saarebas I was thinking about it man...Boogie should totally have an ability sort of like bloody marys-only with beds and closets. Ive also been drinking heavily so feel free to just laugh
