It would be the start of a normal day in the small village of Zanakin. The three squires would of been ordered to report to the middle of the village for combat training. This village, from how off the road it is, has a diverse population of humans, elves and dwarfs. living in a small co-existence on the edge of the kingdom. The Knight masters would be standing and waiting for the squires, one tapping his foot.

Griffin woke up early out of habit. He had always had to get up with the sun. He had no idea what time the others would be up and around. He suppose it wouldn't be too early so he took his time getting dressed. He hoped he was making the right decision. He had left home and had no where to go. This training was his chance to build a life. One that was his and no one else's. He headed towards the training grounds.

Lavender, or as she was normally called Lavy, took quick steps toward the center of the village. Her blond hair hung loosly around her face as she made quick steps. She was very glad it was early enough that there wasn't too many humans out and about. It was the kind of day she wanted to avoid negative confrontation. She hadn't been in this town for long but she was wary of any humans still. Just the way she had been taught to act.

Lance walked out the door feeling the warmth of the sun. He wanted to leave the house early to avoid confrontation with his foster Father. He began his walk toward the center of town eager for training so that he can begin his own life. He didn't want to stay in the town forever nor have to deal with his foster father as they never really never got along.

When they arrive one of the Knights would seem annoyed "your late" he states. "First educate is to always be early, never late because even if your on time your late!" He states at the squires. "We're going to be combat training to teach you ho-" he would be cut off by the sound of a roae, screams and a huge hulking creature coming down the road smashing stuff in its way. By instinct most of the Knights would draw their weapons as the town guard already in gage the creature.

Griffin turned to look at the beast. His eyes widened in surprise. It was huge. He drew his knives. He would have to get close to it but that was alright. He wasn't afraid for himself. He didn't care if he died. He had nothing to live for. He wished had thought to grab his throwing knives. It would be a lot easier to attack with them. He ran towards the beast as fast as he could.

Lance looked at the beast, he froze for a bit. He didn't know what a beast like that was doing in this town, he saw as one of the other soldiers rushed in to combat the monster. "This is the life of a soldier huh" Lance said under his breath. He then began sprinting at the beast and withdrew his dagger like knifes. He was soon trailing the other soldier aiding him in combat.

Lavy spun to look at the beast with wide eyes. She took a shaky breath before running at the beast. "This will suck...." She mumbled, thinking of how she didn't know how to use any weapons, just her fist.

As the apprentices most likely thought their masters would be leading a charge.... well they was.. just the opposite way. They was running away, instead of doing as their duty says they are corrupt so they are running away.

When the apprentices get a very good look at the creature they would see it's a gigantic hellhound, one 10x larger than a regular one causing it to be bigger than some of the buildings in the village. It would swing it's claws sending guardsmen flying right at the apprentices. The guards being in pieces, the creature would roar, people would be rushing away from the destruction which would make it harder to get any closer. Until they see what looks to be a young man, younger than them with a wooden sword in his hand walking straight towards the monster almost without a care in the world. A small blue aura seeming to start surrounding the sword the monster would turn to attack the boy, who would simply side step out of the way and deliver a strike straight to the side of the beast and it would suddenly collapse. Before the remaining guards could get close enough to the beast, the boy says something bringing up his hand making a sign doing a slight chant which causes the beast to raise in the air and suddenly fly off in the direction of the dark kingdom, weird light around the boy, the light would latch out and seeming attach the body parts of the killed guardsmen together, though they aren't brought back to life. the Boy would walk back a ways to pick up a big bag he had moments before.

The event would be over and people would start calming down... though most people seem not to notice the strange boy who just saved the day, it would only seem like the apprentices would even still notice him. all the others would be simply passing him like he wasn't there. The boy would look towards the three apprentices and make eye contact for a moment before entering an alleyway.

Lance came to a stop as he watched the boy make light work of the monster and sending it away, when he began walking into the alleyway Lance tried to get his attention. "Hey you there" Lance shouted

Griffin frowned. He didn't like the guy had come on and taken over. Who was that guy? Why didn't he stay? There was no way he was allowing the guy to just take off. It was clear this boy was strong. Maybe stringer then the men that were suppose to train him. He ran after the guy. He wanted to be trained by the best. He no longer trusted the instructors here. They had taken off when the beast attacked which meant that they weren't confident in their skills when it came to battling such a beast.

Lavy's eyebrows raised at the boy who had gotten rid of the beast and then took off. She glanced at the other apprentices who were following him. She glanced around for a moment before she set her resolve. Her feet moved quickly, running after the boy. Her blond hair flying slightly behind her.

As they ran to the alley way when they passed into the alley way they felt a tug in their stomachs and the alley way felt a lot longer than it should of been, like it was stretching forward. like an illusion. they'd see the boy standing a little ways away.. in the air. he turns towards them "Surprizing you three still see me.. interesting..." he says "What is it you three desire.. what is beckoning in your hearts" he speaks, his voice makes them feel strangely as if they wish to say everything to him. "What do you desire.. from the Grey Knight..." he says.

Griffin fought the compellsion. He had no intention of telling this boy anything. Especially something something so personal. But in the end he couldn't fight the the power that was flowing over him. "I want freedom to live my life differently then my father. I want a chance to prove that I am not the same type of man he was. I want to be happy." He had never spoken those hopes and dreams outloud. He didn't want anyone else to know and be able to use those desires against him.

Lance felt the change in the environment making a little nervous, all he could do was stare at the boy for the moment. He asked what was it that Lance desired and it seemed like he wanted the deep honest answer. At first Lance didn't want to tell this stranger his personal desires but after seeing his ally in combat speak up he gained the confidence to share his desire.

"I want to make my own story, I want to accomplish something that would make my deceased parents proud of me." as Lance spoke he stared into the boys eyes. He then clenched his fist, this was a deep desire Lance longed for.

Lavy took a few moments to think whilst the other two answered. What did she desire most? Not what humans desired of her, what she desired of herself. Her answer came to her mind almost immediately "I want to prove myself as an actual being. Not as someone to be treated like a slave." She spoke daringly, and for the first time in a long time she spoke her own thoughts out loud and admitting the one thing she had kept bottled up for years.

"Honor... happiness.. respect.." he says "verity of goals.. verity of wants.." he states "If you truly wish to accomplish your goals... staying in your current world will only bring horror and failure" he says to them and waves his hand as he lowers to the ground and what seems like a portal gate breaks out of the ground behind him "you can either turn around return to your own world" he says to them "you will be allowed to exit this place without trouble... or you can follow me.. but if you do, you put all you ever knew as your enemies. Everyone who been kind to you, family... everyone, moment you step through you will be associated with the grey knight and become enemies to the white and black... make your decision" he says as he turns around and steps through the gate vanishing.

Lance looked back at the others, he didn't have much to lose. "Association with the Grey knight and becoming a traitor" Lance said under his breath. It would almost like starting over and rewriting his story. "Im in," he said stepping through the gate.

Lavy took a deep breath, glancing back behind them. There was nothing out there in the world for her. May as well turn her back on people. Lifting her shoulders back she took set steps into the gate, to start a better life.

Griffin snorted. Yea because he had so many friends and allies back there. He wasn't leaving anything behind. He had nothing to lose. He shrugged. He wasn't really attached to the black or white knight. They both had elements that he didn't like. He saw no reason not to go with this grey knight. He had nothing to lose really. "I'll go with you grey knight." He was curious what this young knight had to offer.
