@Konica - Well ... if it's within Adrianna's character to leave, retreat, and lay low, there's a strong likelihood that several rather powerful Sarifen aristocrats and a half strengthed, Nezamnissary Orta are willing to exchange political, military, and economic favors for shot and powder. The Palais de Voltas is also one of the most heavily fortified and least affected defensive fortifications within Voltas itself and the chance of being outnumbered is ... how shall you say ... more than possible? ;^)

In my opinion, that's as good enough a reason to leave and even if she doesn't participate in the Palais pre-emptive strike, Adrianna's role will neither be singled out or isolated. Depending on how our characters interact via IC, there is plenty to explore and characters to interact as the other secondary characters maneuver through the Merchant's Quarter. The chance to escape would allow for the opportunity to save face, lay low, and fight another day.

On the other hand, Conqvist's Seer, Catherine, presents a serious threat to each character's survival and under Conqvist's direction, could prove to be our characters' undoing as would the presence of a fully reinforced, trained, and mobilized Crown Watch. As it appears, a high risk, high reward situation where a high likelihood of death, capture, or dismemberment is evident, but where success would greatly lower our characters' chances of death.

The choices are equally viable with ... complicated consequences!

That's 5 Votes towards the Counter Attack

@Nevis - Uriel Aryanpur - Delacroix
@FernStone - Daelynn 'Daedhel' Gabrielle L'Fevre
@SkullsandSlippers - Onatha
@Peik - Ghazi Isfendiyar Bayqar Korkud (better known as Bahram Isfendiyar)
@DJAtomika - Balthazar Guisemere

That's 1 Vote towards escaping to the Merchant's District

@Konica - Lady Adrianna Heurassein

If this is the finally tally, please don't hesitate to post in the IC for your characters' reactions so we can move into Episode 2!

Oh, I wasn't changing my vote. I was just making a comment :P Even if Adrianna wanted to join the counter attack, what would she do? She's no soldier.

@FernStone - Take your time with that and don't feel obligated to write ginormous posts. Mine was only as long as it needed to be and we'll have more opportunities for more interactions and explorations when Episode 2 begins.

@Konica - That's actually a good point. Adrianna's a smart lass, she seems to know what's profitable and when it's time to jump ship. Individuals with that sort of business-saviness, usually don't get killed often ... usually ... ;^)

@ Everyone - I hope all of you are having a fun and pleasant February. I mean ... with school, work, and weather that storms like nobody's business ... I know I am. The question is ... are all of you enjoying your Februaries? ;P

I will take my time, since I don't really want to rush in with a post just for the sake of it

In terms of my February... Well there hasn't been much of it, haha. Filled with school work, programming, win and rain really. It's fine

@FernStone - Yep, that'll monster up all your free time, especially the programming ;P. The wind and rain can be solved with a warm fire, a dry roof, and a glass of wine or hot tea, but the programming, from what I hear, requires algorithms. Truth be told, I wouldn't know algorithms and CS from my own arse! Give me a laptop, art supplies, a brush, a palette, and a pencil though? We're in business 8)

@Nevis - Yes, you're right. One is by legitimacy while the other's earned through usurpation. The two are mutually exclusive, by definition and character, hehehe.

@GourmetItalia It definitely is monstering up all my free time, haha. I have quite a bit of a project for school (60% of my computing grade this year), and it's due in a month an a half. There is a lot of writing up and coding to be done for that. But the end is in sight, at least. I have a functional game and only need to add a working story (which is easier said than done, giving the player's options is rather annoying and creates a lot of branches to follow). That makes sense though! Art things isn't quite my forte, so I don't know that well xP (though I enjoy drawing)

@Nevis Uriel is the literal bastard of the story :P

@FernStone - What?! You're working on an indie video game as a programmer? You didn't tell me any of that! I wish you the best of luck with the coding and writing because programming's no joke!! Hopefully there will be enough time for gaming in the playing sense, hehe.

@Konica - I remember you mentioning you were heavily involved with academia, especially in terms of biology or some sorts with capitalizing on emerging technology or industries. How's that coming along?

@DJAtomika - Yes, DJ, I mentioned that in one of my previous posts, but I'm guessing you either haven't been following the OOC unless I tagged you or simply glossed over it so I'll post it again.

I'm in school, if that's what you're asking. Just trying to finish up the last of my classes. I'm supposed to be thinking about what I'm gonna do for my big project next year, but I still dunno. We're supposed to design/build something that benefits society. Last year a group made a machine that automatically folds clothes. If anyone has an idea I'm all ears.

Regarding posting, I was gonna wait for that OOC update thingy. Did that happen yet? Basically I just wanted to know the names of all the major factions + their enemies, all the major characters + whose side they're on, and a little more about the sororitas.

@FernStone - Yeah I've been feeling under the weather myself. Best thing to do is get a lot of rest and don't stay up late! Otherwise, the skies are the limits.

@Nevis and @ Everyone - We spoke about how the pre-emptive strike on the Palais was a good opportunity for Uriel to examine how his armor wards work. I encourage you to collaborate with the other writers for mutual compromises so that there can be greater benefits, interactions, and chances for success. After the insertion into the Palais, he could keep his eyes peeled and dig around to see what can be done about his armor wards. Perhaps if it's in his intuition could interact with the others to see if they will help him or how he could help them in return. I scratch your back, you scratch mine; vice versa.

@Konica - I'm no engineer so I don't know how much of a help I could be, but if you need my skill-sets for marketing an idea or product via interactive advertisement posters, I could give a couple pointers! But ahhh ... inventing a machine that benefits society. You could go a great number of directions, but my best bet is to find a problem and then build or sell a solution. I had an idea of using a toy rv-car with an automated platform to lift or lower as a means for bringing food, drinks, or items for elderly people, but I suppose the same appliance could be applicable to individuals of all ages. It might've already been invented, but it's an idea! I believe that avoiding over engineering a product will go a long ways, hehe.

As for the update, I am working on that as we speak; been an interesting few days, but I'll have the update within the next few days so please just bear with me!

@Peik – Great post and one that moves the chain along! I find it ironic that Korkud isn't phased by these turn of events and it seems like there's not much that could shock Korkud unless he were betrayed by a closely trusted retainer or tribesman of sorts. We do see into how he thinks and his involvement is intriguing since he could certainly save face and retreat like Lady Heurassein. This is going to be a bit of read to see how he interprets the events as they unfold around him and what he will do to actually attempt to accomplish the objectives.

Okay will work on a post for Ona this weekend. Gourmet if you have anything else I need to know regarding her object or anything in particular can you message me? Going to have her spending some time looking at it as well as pondering that little bothersome feeling she is having.
