Laurel Greenethorne
Location: Mountainous area outside of Aberlyne

Interacting with: @Bigg Slamm

Watching the Jethro guy while she explained her situation, she saw disbelief, followed by delight. Then he laughed at her. Or at least she thought he did, but he was being so friendly, she didn't know how to take him.

"Well, it would seemed we were sucked into the game and put in the bodies of our avatars. Imagine my shock when I woke up in a dwarf's body when back home I'm over two foot taller. Anyway, pleasure to meet you Laurel. I assumed you were high level. Scythes take an exotic weapon proficiency. A mid game skill if I remember right. Menus are accessible by a swipe of your writing hand, like so."

She watched as he swiped his left hand and a menu popped up in front of him. He clicked around on it for a minute, and a screen popped up in front of Laurel asking if she wanted to accept being friends with him, then he was continuing to talk.

"Since we're both technically new, care to be friends? No use in trying to survive this crazy place without one. Not when we don't know if we respawn or not."

He was so friendly, and nice. Laurel couldn't resist accepting his friendship. "I can't believe that we were sucked into the game, I mean I don't even play MMORPGs, and the one time I try it...this happens. Good lord above, I don't know how I'm going to deal with this. But let me check what level I'm supposed to be." she shot out, her glum mood filtering through her words.

Swiping her right hand like Jethro did, a small menu appeared in front of her. Looking at the options, she saw one for 'Character Status', clicking it she saw that she was apparently Level 67. And had a rank of C in scythes.

"Apparently, I'm level 67, and I have a rank of C in Scythes...whatever that means? she told Jethro, hoping he'd know how to explain that.

Amelia

Just as Amelia started walking, she heard the small beastkin girl say something. Rouku onee-chan? Is Rouku her name, or was she trying to say something else? It's so hard to tell with that accent. Nothing for it but to ask I guess. You can never be too certain about these things. With the best smile she can manage, she asks:
"Rouku onee-chan? Is name?"
Slightly broken grammar aside, with that level of simplicity, there should be little confusion as to what her intentions are. Namely, that she is trying to ask if "Rouku" is the name of the girl's sister. After all, if she has relatives, it would be hard to search for them if she doesn't know their names. Relatives, huh...? Her face goes sullen for a second, but she quickly shakes the feelings away. No need to worry about that anymore. I'm sure her sister is a nice person. Just focus at the task at hand, me! Come to think of it, I have yet to give my name. How thoughtless. She pounds her fist in her hand as she comes to this realization, and, the smile returning to her face, she introduces herself...
"Ah! Right that's! Name my is Amelia. A-mi-li-ya. You?"
... at least, to the best of her ability.

Melia

Melia looked at Lorand in confusion. His statement, after all, didn't quite add up; even if it was in the wilds, there weren't many monsters that could do substantial damage there... Just a bunch of lone wolves, if she recalled correctly. There wasn't even a field boss, so...

"Well, it's not as if I'm going to argue with speed--we should be moving there quickly, after all. But... 'danger I couldn't even imagine?' Isn't that a bit of an exaggeration...?" she asked, glancing between him and the other girl, who she decided to address and Yuki given the username, before getting up to make her way out of the building.

"If you wish," Melia offered as the three walked out of the building, "I can summon a mount to get us there faster. Would that be alright with you?"

As she did so, Melia flicked around in front of her, sending a party invite to Yuki as she sifted through her items for the scroll she had stored away for that exact purpose. Lorand had his wolf... Warg... Thing, so he could probably get there in record time if he was go go alone...
But flight could always be faster, especially if she tried reducing her own weight with her magic.

"So, other than her general appearance, is there anything else that we should be looking out for once we arrive?

Lorand

By the time the other two had begun preparations to leave, Lorand had already set off on Rummahl at blinding speed. He assumed Melia had some sort of mount at her level. He had definitely over exaggerated the situation of the sister, but if there is one thing he would never trust Amelia with, it was kids. She wasn't exactly the type of person who would be good at dealing with children, from his impressions of her anyway. He wasn't so much worried about Amelia protecting the girl, she was more than capable of that. He couldn't bear the thought of the mischief Amelia might drag the poor girl in to if the two were left together for much longer. Lorand would know, he had dealt with it so many times before that it was almost everyday business for him.

"I just really hope those two haven't gotten into any trouble. That girl is already angry enough with me, and if she learns that Amelia is one of my friends, I probably won't be sleeping for weeks on end. Well, that is if she HAS caused trouble in this short amount of time..."

The ground Lorand and Rummahl was traversing was rather flat, so getting there quickly should not be a problem at all. Lorand simply steeled his hopes that Amelia had composed herself well, and rode on.

Yukimura Kirika, More Understanding Beastkin

There! That made more sense! Kirika shoot her head at the fairy girl's words.

"No... bigu... sisutah!" she replied, waving her arms slightly in an effort to illustrate size. Fujiko was bigger than her, after all, so surely it would help out. Her ears twitched somewhat as she spoke. The girl was going on to try and explain... her name? It was kind of broken but that made more sense too! Feeling somewhat more satisfied with this, Kirika smiled before jutting a thumb towards her chest. This was something that she could definitely deal with!

"Ki-ri-ka! Kirika!" she said, with an air of triumph. This was going right! It really was! She didn't get English at all, but she was managing to respond with it! ... After all, the other girl's Japanese was so bad that Kirika was sure responding in English was probably the best way to deal with this... "Bigu sisutah... Fujiko!"

Yukimura Fujiko, Mildly Less Ticked Off

"A mount. Anything that'll get us there more quickly," was Fujiko's swift reply. Her anger was still simmering, but now there was focus. Focus on getting to her sister as quickly as possible. There was no way she could let it be delayed, if there was even the slightest chance she could get to her sister faster she could take it. In short, Fujiko was absolutely focused on reaching her sister and making sure she was okay. Kirika had to be okay.

"... She likes sweets. She kept buying a bunch of the candy items," Fujiko added when prompted about any other details.

Melia

"Understood."

With that one word exiting her mouth, Melia pulled out a scroll from her inventory, the words on it fluttering about in front of her. Though she used the pegasus quite often while playing normally, she had it bound to a hotkey, and thus had mostly forgotten the words used to summon the creature.
Luckily, she had this. The words were in a gibberish language to her, but the pronunciation of them all way simple enough. Given that no prompt came up asking her if she wanted to have it done automatically, well... It seemed as if she'd have to call out to it every time she wanted to ride somewhere.
Quickly reciting the incantation under her breath, the scroll glowed a light blue for a moment before a small portal opened up. From it came a young pegasus, a saddle on its back and wings folded beside it.

"So a beastkin child that may or may not be eating sweets? That shouldn't be too hard to find, as long as the grass doesn't get too tall. Come on, we've got no time to waste.

Quickly mounting the pegasus, Melia pulled Fujiko onto the saddle before grabbing the reins and nodding her head.

"Head north. Follow the armored man and the warg."

Melia said no more than that as the horse started on its running start before pickup up speed and launching into the air, its wings now fully outstretched and flapping as two two characters began to rapidly grow farther and farther away from the the ground. The wind blowing against her face made Melia shiver slightly, given how strange the sensation was, but what made it worse was how far off the ground they were now.

"...Well. Hold on tight, I guess," she remarked, gripping tightly onto the reins as the pegasus shot off to follow along.

Jethro Roranson

Interacting with: @OneStoryToMany

Jethro smiled as Laurel accepted his friend request. He was relieved to have found an ally so soon. He truly believed what he said. If they were going to survive this crazy world they were going to need friends. Going it alone was practically suicide. Even if they do respawn after death, not having a friend there to guide you through the loss could be a burden. Jethro's mood changed when Laurel said they didn't even play MMORPGs. He smiled wide and laughed heartily. "Haha, unlucky indeed, but look at the bright side. You got sucked into a stacked character ready to do. I'm completely new, and a dwarf!" He said with a chuckle as Laurel checked her stats. When she stated her level and her rank in scythes he grinned triumpantly. "67? Ha, nailed it on the head! Mid game indeed, and not a bad rank. It means whoever had this character before you had quite recently unlocked the scythe skill. Ranks are your level with a skill. Think of it as a grading system. So a rank like C means you're adverage at the skill with plenty of room for improvement. But, don't let that get you down. At level 67 I'm sure you probably have plenty of skills to back it up. Unlike me is all I can do is swing my hammer and hope it hurts enough." He said with a hopefull smile.

Amelia

After listening to the beastkin girl, apparently called Kirika, Amelia gives a nod of understanding. So, the little one is called Kirika, while her sister is Fujiko. If Kirika is hanging out around here, then she's probably a fairly low level. Fortunately, the towns that recruit fresh adventurers are just to the North of here, conveniently on the way to my original destination. As Amelia plans out her next move, the howls of far off wolves start filling the air. It seems that here's not such a safe place to be thinking of such things. We should start moving.
They are currently in a plain just North of Araldyne. Amelia had actually stopped following her Trusted Mentor's Warg's tracks when she saw the chaotic riot going on in town, and decided to go around before heading further North once more, leading to where she and her little companion are now. Looking towards the girl, Kirika, once more, and motions for her to follow with a smile.
"I. Help. You. Follow." Kirika seems to know a fair amount more English than she gives herself credit for, so Amelia doesn't bother trying to waste any more time than neccessary trying to explain things in Japanese, and starts heading North.

Lorand

Lorand, who had been riding for a good couple of minutes now, looked at his map one more time. He was extremely close to the Amelia and the young girl's location, and was still riding with the speed of a mad man. No matter how silly his concern was, Lorand was still fearful of what he might find when he arrived.

"I swear if she has done anything to that girl, I am going to dropkick Amelia at least a mile away from here. Actually, make that two miles."

Lorand muttered this to himself as he came upon the scene at hand. Amelia was standing there talking to the girl, and it seemed like no harm had been done. However, looks could be deceiving, so Lorand leaped off of Rummahl and began to approach the pair, eyes fixed on Amelia. He walked towards them with a calm demeanor, even though he definitely was not calm.

"What's going on here Amelia, and what have you been doing since I left?"

He asked as he turned to inspect the young girl who was next to Amelia. She was a low-level wizard beastkin, something that seemed like a somewhat strange character combination to him, but he payed that no mind. He just wanted to make sure Amelia hadn't done anything to the girl, or anyone for that matter. Lorand could see that she was at least she was not harmed, so he was hopeful nothing bad had happened.

Yukimura Fujiko, Formerly in Flight

The flight was, well... Fujiko had never exactly flown before. Especially not on a horse. So, to say the least, that experience was quite... impactful. Fujiko found herself indeed holding on, though more or less looking irritated about it the whole time. She probably would have enjoyed it more if not for the fact that her little sister was out there and potentially in danger. So, when the wolf came to a stop and they eventually landed, finally giving Fujiko the view of what she was instantly able to recognize as Kirika... admittedly, Kirika with white hair and animal features, but Kirika nonetheless, there was only one response.

The dark-haired girl lept off of the pegasus, ran over to her little sister, and abruptly hugged her, to the surprised greeting of "Onee-san!"

Melia

As Melia watched Lorand and his warg grow farther and farther away, a small sigh left her lips as she glanced at the ground below. There were so many questions to have answered, so many problems to resolve... And all in the first few hours of her entry into this world. To say it was unexpected would be an understatement; an incident this soon into whatever the hell caused such a phenomenon was only adding fuel to the flames.

So... Why was she so excited about all of this?

This world, one that she had come to learn the ins and outs of, was also incredibly dangerous. She'd died many times in the past, so she could attest to that danger, and it wasn't unlikely that others would think likewise. But being here? In the flesh? That was probably infinitely more dangerous than what she had encountered before. It also made death all the more frightening. A 'normal' death probably wouldn't be likely here; she'd have been much more likely to die in more horrifying and gruesome ways, which... Well, Melia pushed those thoughts out of her mind instantly.

Of course, that led her back to her initial plan: gathering information. Shore up enough adventurous people, and it wasn't too much of a stretch to try and spin the workings of this world into a journey of her own. Was that why she was so anxious about this all...?

Lost in her thoughts, Melia almost lurched out of her seat when her pegasus descended upon a grassy knoll. Lorand wasn't too far off, at the very least; with his warg standing nearby, the armored man seemed to be lecturing a... Fairy of sorts. Was that what he had been in such a rush about?

"We're he-" Melia began to say, but stopped as she watched the hot-blooded girl go off to hug her sister (or, well, what Melia assumed to be as such). However heartwarming the scene was, the now-group of five had bigger problems to worry about: namely, how to go about moving with this squad now. As far as she could see, Lorand had to keep taps on the fairy (if his reaction was anything to go by), and the two sisters would, given their most recent statements, would probably be inseparable. Regardless of the constraints that placed on the party, though, there was one more pressing matter.

"Uh... So, this is all nice and dandy, and I hate to put a damper on your guys' mood right now, but I just realized that unless we get really lucky with the inns on the continent, we're not going to have a place to sleep in tonight. You guys got any ideas? Because I really don't want to sleep in a tent outside tonight."

Repeating the same statement in Japanese so that the two sisters could understand, Melia rode her steed closer to look at the names of the characters as a whole. The fairy's name, Amelia... That could become a nuisance, differentiating between herself and this fairy. Maybe using her actual name could help...?

To say nothing of Yuki's younger sister's name, though. It sounded like something a grade-schooler would think of...

Amelia

As Amelia was walking, she heard the thudding of some far off creature. The sound was similar to that of paws, but were far too heavy to be a mere wolf. It was also rapidly approaching them. When she turned around to spot what the source of the noise was, she saw a large warg charging towards her group of two. Sitting atop the great beast, was none other than her Trusted Mentor. Master Lorand? Is he already finished with whatever business he had to attend to? Ah well, I'd better answer his questions before I ask mine.
"Ah, Master Lorand. As you can see, I've been trying to guide this girl, Kirika, to a nearby beginner town. There was a small language barrier, but thanks to my time that I'd dedicated to observing the Sacred Archives, such a barrier was easily overcome! After waiting with her for her sister to find her, I was planning on heading to Garrandale to gather information about this world. After all, 'playing' through the Possession Console and having our consciousness experience it first-hand are two entirely different things." She crosses her arms and spreads her feet out to shoulder width as she declares this proudly.
"But, seeing as you, and whom I'm assuming is her sister, have already found us, we can head straight to Garrandale instead. Now, I have a question for you: what exactly did you set off to do that you finished it so quickly?"

Lorand

Lorand let out a sigh of relief as he learned that Amelia had only tried to help the girl. For once, he was actually silently proud of the fairy for just trying to help someone without her inner role-player getting in the way of things. Not only that, but since the girl was unharmed, hopefully that other girl would calm down soon enough. He then looked at Amelia and responded to her question:

"Oh, I was simply trying to get some information on my own for a bit. I had figured we could get information faster if we split up."

In reality though, this was simply his excuse for not saying "I wanted to get away from you." It's not so much that he hated the fairy, in fact he actually did rather like her, it was just that he was a rather passive person who didn't do very well around people with a personality like Amelia's. He had always used to be a player who simply did everything on his own if he could, and only partied up for content that couldn't truly be soloed. While this made him great at working by himself or even playing his role in a party, he was never very social. Then he overheard Melia's comment about a place to sleep, and had an idea.

"I think I know a few places we could stay. Hell, I have enough excess gold to pay for anyone who doesn't have enough money to stay a night at at an inn. I know of a rather nice one that could fit us all in at a town not far from here."

Lorand didn't really care if they accepted his offer or not, he just wanted to sleep now. From the angry girls trying to beat up merchants to get information about her sister to literally being transported inside of a video game, today had been enough for Lorand. He decided that if they didn't follow him, he'd just go to one of the very nice, extravagant, and expensive inns that most of them couldn't afford and have himself a nice, relaxing time. Besides he had gotten ideas of things he could do tomorrow when he looked at the minimap, and wanted to be very well rested.

Yukimura Fujiko and Yukimura Kirika, Reunited

Fujiko, eventually, stopped hugging her younger sister and straightened. As she did, she grasped the much smaller girl's(Kirika was a bit short for her age even in real life, and she had mostly copied herself into the game beyond giving herself animal ears and white hair) arm and pulled her in a little closer. Like hell was she going to let her get anywhere remotely distant now that they were together in this place. Fujiko had no idea if, for example, healing still worked as it did before... this, so if Kirika got hurt... Well, she'd just have to keep her from getting hurt, wouldn't she? It was a big sister's duty.

The girl who had helped before explained her concerns in both English and Japanese. Fujiko could certainly piece together the first part, but Kirika was baffled until she got to the Japanese explanation instead. For a few moments, Fujiko thought it over. It didn't seem like they were very close to, well, anywhere. They'd run out here in a hurry... The huge guy in armor seemed to have some kind of idea. Fujiko could piece that much together.

"... Whatever, I guess I need some place to sleep too," she said. Kirika definitely did. That fairy girl, well, even with limited English you could tell something was weird with how she acted.

"Um..." Kirika began, rubbing the back of her head, "... What's everyone saying?"

Melia

"I think you misunderstand my statement, Lorand," Melia responded, shaking her head in regards to his comment about money. "Though it might be possible to buy us all a few months' or years' time at an inn, the giant influx of people suddenly popping into existence here might mean that we might not be able to get a room at All. Unless you're willing to try and buy people out, but you might be scalped pretty badly if we tried that."

Sighing and shaking her head, Melia glanced at the little fairy before massaging her forehead. Her dialogue was... What was it again? Right, chuunibyou. Really chuunibyou-esque. How did Lorand manage to put up with her...?

"A-anyways, I think that we should probably steer clear of any major cities or towns for the moment, if only to find a place to rest. If the place you're thinking of isn't going to be exploding with people in the next few hours, then I'll agree to that. Otherwise, well... Hopefully there's a place that sells coffee or something, because we'll be looking for a while."

Coughing a few times into her elbow, Melia opened up her inventory to check the gold she had on hand.
...
More than enough to fund a few people staying in a room for the next few days. That much was good, at least. But...

"Though... I think that we should probably try getting some sort of base of operations set up in the near future."

With that, Melia turned to address the two sisters who seemed to be standing by. Compared to the party, the two were... well, far underleveled, if anything. If there was any time to get their combat proficiency up, it'd be now, when the chaos was stopping any of the regular crowd from staking their claims.

Explaining the discussion to the younger child in as simple of a manner as she could, Melia turned to Yukimura and began to address the... Other issue at hand, trying to keep the discussion loud enough for her to hear, but not enough for Kirika to do the same.

"So... I understand that you've been reunited, and I would prefer not to mention this, but... Unless you're ready to tackle some of the bigger problems ahead of us--namely, getting stronger and making a place for ourselves in this world so we don't get pushed out--you both are going to be in a bit of a pinch. It's going to be dangerous, trying to get your sister to level; if you don't want her to go down that path, you'll have to work twice as hard to make up for it. This world is pretty dangerous, after all."

Amelia

Just as I suspected. As always, you are one step ahead Master Lorand. Amelia nods her head silently as she thinks this to herself, her eyes glistening in admiration for the comparatively towering man in front of her. She's truly glad that she met her Trusted Mentor. Being alone is lonely after all... Painful memories resurface. Memories she'd rather forget. Fortunately, when one of the newcomers, a swordswoman by the looks of it, voiced her worries, Amelia was able to pull herself out of her gloomy train of thought and came up with an idea.
"Huhuhu, I think we need not have worries for that. Have you already forgotten what exactly it is that we do for a living?" She says as she turns and points directly at the woman before continuing. "And no, I do not mean what our proffession was in the Alternate Reality. I mean what we do for a living. We are adventurers! We help people in exchange for rewards and favours! The keyword here: favours! And, since I was planning on calling up a few favours anyways, what's it hurt to ask for a place to stay as well?" Dropping her hand and crossing her arms once more, she finishes off her statement with a hearty laugh.

Lorand

After hearing the little fairy's words, Lorand simply nodded his head in agreement. "Precisely, if our legacies from our time playing the game mean anything, than with someone like me around, we should be able to get such a favor somewhere away from the capitol. And if you ask me, we should get as far away from the capitol as possible." He stated in compliance with the fairy. For once, he was impressed with the young fairy's intuition. Perhaps she had learned something from him after all. Lorand opened his map, and noticed there was a small town a fair distance away from the capitol with a rather nice inn. He also knew that the said town was never very popular with players, so there would likely be room. He addressed the rest of the group, saying "If you don't mind a short ride, I believe I know a place that will take us all in, possibly even for free. I've completed all of the quests in the area, so perhaps I will be well known enough to call in a few favors myself. After that, we can try and find some better housing, with which I can help. How does all that sound" He stood there and waited for a response from the rest of the group.
